I can't say yes or no, because i need more data.

if you are testing your pastor, the medium/clairvoyant with exegesis sola scripture approach. they all are wrong. period.

if you are testing your pastor, the medium/clairvoyant with capability to confess JESUS is GOD and personal savior, then it's completely different story.

more importantly, are you still monitorint this thread ?

So you believe that proper scriptural interpretation means "reading into" scripture what one wants to find there?  That is th definition of eisegesis.

You asked a question which led me to ask my question.

you said  "MORE IMPORTANTLY, are you still monitorint..?"

Why would you ask that question?

I post similar answer to many threads, so each thread i can help to focus on TS needs. If i wanna teach, i opened another thread. Here i do consulting service, and the context is clairvoyant and medium.

Do you know that those who are are not a member of the ministry here are not allowed to teach?

No, there you are not allowed to start topics... and she is correct in telling you that only ministry members can teach. All members are asked to please post all topics in the form of a discussion...posing questions and open for answers and difference in opinion.

Help... I've recently stopped attending a church that I've been a member of for over 15 years. This church has a special place in my heart. I had our pastor visit our home to pray over it, in Jesus' name. (We had been experiencing some spiritual attacks at home.)

He came over and brought a saved church member. He introduced her as a medium/clairvoyant and said she will help in finding open doors for demonic activity in the home. He also said this person would channel the name of the demon so we know who we were standing aga9inst.

All said and done, my spirit was greatly distraught to learn that he uses a medium to channel the spirit world. While it's NOT necromancy, it is consulting familiar spirits (Deuteronomy 18:11).

I was advised that the Scripture put on my heart while he was here was divisive and likely from the demons. He stated 1 Corinthians 12:10 supports this (root word diskrisis for discerning) and also stated Luke 8, regarding the maniac of Gedara is another that supports it. When I brought questions to him regarding this, I was met with defensiveness, though I came in peace.. I asked genuine questions... For example, the maniac was possessed. This person he brought to our home was not possessed and , in fact, is saved. I've been told I just need to agree to disagree; that this isn't a doctrinal issues and, furthermore, is a common practice in spiritual warfare. So, I post here, in genuine interest and research to understand if I'm misunderstanding God's Word on this topic. Thoughts? Further points to study?

The weapons of our warfare are prayer, praise and declaring the word of God and are not carnal weapons.  Any practicing psychic medium or clairevoyent is considered as using witchcraft.  Psychic practices are witchcraft and a great bad sin and forbidden by God.  Your Pastor has sinned badly by bringing a psychic to your home.

The word is clear that that mediums and claurvoyancy is not of God. It also says submit to God, and resist the devil and he will flee.

Sometimes a person is simply blind. Judge all things spiritually and let the Holy Spirit lead you into all truth.

It is good you stood your ground. I've made the error - when I was younger in my walk - by allowing a psychic medium to talk to me.

Run and flee from wickedness, and don't get sucked into dark alleyways (spiritually speaking).
