Climate change is a lie - claims top meteorologist

THE debate about climate change is finished - because it has been categorically proved NOT to exist, one of the world's leading meteorologists has claimed.

John Coleman, who co-founded the Weather Channel, shocked academics by insisting the theory of man-made climate change was no longer scientifically credible.

Instead, what 'little evidence' there is for rising global temperatures points to a 'natural phenomenon' within a developing eco-system.

In an open letter attacking the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, he wrote: "The ocean is not rising significantly.

"The polar ice is increasing, not melting away. Polar Bears are increasing in number.

"Heat waves have actually diminished, not increased. There is not an uptick in the number or strength of storms (in fact storms are diminishing).

"I have studied this topic seriously for years. It has become a political and environment agenda item, but the science is not valid."

Mr Coleman said he based many of his views on the findings of the NIPCC, a non-governmental international body of scientists aimed at offering an 'independent second opinion of the evidence reviewed by the IPCC.'

He added: "There is no significant man-made global warming at this time, there has been none in the past and there is no reason to fear any in the future.

"Efforts to prove the theory that carbon dioxide is a significant greenhouse gas and pollutant causing significant warming or weather effects have failed.

"There has been no warming over 18 years."

Hey Oak...

     I just really don't know about this fellows claims....I don't believe it is as dire a situation as we are lead to believe but if you have ever seen photographs of the landscape in a State like Alaska ,it is pretty obvious that there has been a significant change in temperature causing snow to melt & waters to rise......I have seen many photos of the same exact locations in a 50 year span & it is quite astonishing....

Kwik when I worked in alaska, the other forest service employees pointed out tall cliffs that were once sea level. They were that high from rebounding when glaciers retreated during the ice age. 

 

What is normal? During the middle ages, greenland was green and supported settlements. Now its ice covered.

It matters not.

The climate is always changing - has been for centuries.

But the real question is "Are we causing the change, or is it just part of a natural cycle that God dictates?"

We don't control the climate. God does.

 

Should we continue to be taxed by these Global Warmist monsters? They want us to pay them, but they offer no practical solutions other than checking our carbon footprints, protesting against oil, trying to take away our freedoms, and giving us rubbish energy alternatives that don't work.

They also lie to us at every opportunity they get, don't practise what they preach and live extravagant lifestyles that don't correspond with what they expect the rest of us to do.

So true. it is just another `help the sky is falling,` scenario to give over more & more power to those who think they are better able to run our lives. And of course there is the question `Do we think those in power have our best interests at heart?` I think not. Thus we (the Body of Christ) continue to trust the One who made it all & who continues to uphold it.

I believe that Mankind can influence a lot of things but climate is reserved for God.

Look, we can put a man on the Moon but we've never had much success with the weather - we can barely get the weather forecasts right. God himself said that he would cause the rain to fall on good and bad alike, so it's obvious that he intends to keep controlling the weather. At no point in time has he left it to us.

He lets us do lots of things. We can mess about with the Earth and build underground tunnels and mines, we can even change the shape of the land (look at a map of Holland and see how the coastline and shape of the country has changed due to man-made activity). We build dams that change the course of rivers and we have chopped down forests and even planted forests where they were none before, but when it comes to climate we've barely done anything. Historically God has even used the weather as judgement and probably intends to use it in future prophecy. So he is firmly in control of it.

I have read some of the things put out by climate change people. I have noticed they went from warnings about global cooling, to warnings about global warming, and now call it climate change. 

 

I have looked at historical weather, and found that there have been times of cooling and times of warming through out history. The polar vortex has shifted before, multiple times.   

 

The 1940's and 1970's were cold times with warmer times in between.

 

In the medieval times, there was a 'mini-ice age'.

 

And there were natural occurences which altered the weather, such as large volcanic explosions which put ash in the upper atmosphere causing a cool down.

 

I have yet to find any data which is convincing of a unique cooling or warming connected to the so-called climate change due man. I have found historical discussions of decreasing or increasing levels of Co2 occuring naturally.

The amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere is less than 1% (less than a tenth of a percent in fact). The amount that we are spewing into the atmosphere even in the craziest and most extreme of predictions that the climate change people give us, will not even make the levels rise to even 1/4%. This change is insignificant.

I have to add that an atmosphere containing just a few percent of CO2 can be fatal within just a few hours. There won't even be time for Global Warming or climate change to take place, every person on the planet (and most animals) would be dead in less than a day.
