Sharing the Gospel with atheists

Thank you both for responding. I am particularly struggling with helping direct people away from sin who are suffering. Unfortunately only I can relate to scripture. At least with the people I am trying to help anyways. A lot of the "atheists" don't really understand what sin is and the consequences of it. With Christians, I find it easier because you can just relate things in scripture and then if they don't really understand it, you can explain in terms of how I see it, to try to get them to understand.

John 17:33 And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.

You have a reason to stay away from sin, a relationship with Jesus, they don't. As believers, our motivation towards holiness should be a deeper intimacy with Jesus. With athiests, a morally correct athiest is still just as condemned, their issue isn't a need for sin management but a need for a savior. Jesus heals, He sets free, He empowers us to walk righteous. They need to know Him and Jesus paid for all their junk so they can know Him.  It will sound foolish, but in the simplicity of the Gospel, there is power.

1 Corinthians 1:17 For Christ did not send me to baptize, but to preach the gospel, not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of no effect.

18 For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.

The only way to help them out of sin is help them into a relationship with Jesus. Don't reguard them according to the flesh, love them and demonstrate who Christ is to them. If Jesus died for all, then it doesn't matter what degree of sin they are in now, they need a savior and our Savior has the ability to transform a life from the lowest pit. Don't battle their morality, love them and let them see Christ in you. Talk openly about Him and when they poke and pry trying to offend you, love them back in return. Jesus, in humanities most heneous sin said Father, forgive them. We need to be like Him.They need to see Jesus and He lives in you.

John 13:4 A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. 35 By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”

1 Corinthians 5:12 For what have I to do with judging those also who are outside? Do you not judge those who are inside? 13 But those who are outside God judges.

2 Corinthians 5:14 For the love of Christ compels us, because we judge thus: that if One died for all, then all died; 15 and He died for all, that those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again.

16 Therefore, from now on, we regard no one according to the flesh. Even though we have known Christ according to the flesh, yet now we know Him thus no longer. 17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. 18 Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation, 19 that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation.
