As someone who actually has experienced attacks from those who call themselves a witch...note there are as many variations of witch as you can count....

and who has had the focused attention of a quote unquote 'coven' who had real evil power,  I can testify that the Holy Spirit is far stronger than any evil

spirit and God is willing and able to protect you.

 

People sometimes leave back doors opened which allows demonic activity in their lives and sometimes a Christian can become a 'mark' simply because

they testify in front of those who are evil

 

Either way, simply praying for God to kill someone is as bad as the witch who curses someone

 

As far as ISIS goes and for that matter the current admin in the US, on one hand Christians keep telling each other how bad it's gonna get and then on the other

hand, act all shocked when it actually happens

No that isn't what leaving vengeance to God means.   Leaving vengeance to God means doing nothing at all to take vengeance in any form. 

 

The problem here is that we are not really talking about vengeance.   We are talking about stopping a global threat.  There is only one way to stop ISIS and that is to destroy them.  That's the only way to help those who are being slaughtered by them.

All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

 

That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works. 2 Timothy 3:16-17

ISIS represents a spiritual truth.....we are actually in a spiritual battle and it would do good for Christians to note that

 

No gun is ever going to slay the spirit that is behind ISIS

 

and I am all for wiping them off the planet, but after them worse may come

You want to wipe ISIS out?  You want to kill them?  Fast and pray against the spirit behind ISIS, the true enemy.  Many follow false gods which are the principalities, powers, rulers of the darkness of this age, spiritual hosts of wickedness in heavenly places!  Fight against them, not the flesh who follow them.  Leave them to God.

As for those who are in harms way, they have all the right to defend themselves, and if they ask for help, to help them. Your heart is in a war, but not against those who are controlled by the enemy, but the enemy themselves.
