Perhaps....( speculation only since only God knows) because the blood that had to be placed on the altar of heaven could only be pure and the blood of Jesus was pure and sinless. Nothing else would do.

Life is granted by God through the Son continuously, that is moment by moment. In Colossians it says all things are up held by Christ.

Creation is caused by the power of the word of God, which returns to Him via the created universe. It brings Joy. Rev 4:11.

Dysfunction or sin cannot exist in this perfect cycle of Life, unless God by passes the cause of it and receives the consequences.

The universe is created to be intimately connected and dependent on the presence and power of God, therefor whatever affects the creation affects Him. It was designed for freedom and joy, for all things in the universe, and thus to Himself, whose greatest joy is to give.

Why does God not ignore or wipe out the consequences of a sin and get on with it? Can He do that yes or no?

Yes God can do that but if he did, he would be going back on his word and God does not go back on his word.

If he wiped out sin by ignoring the sacrificial element then he would have failed in his promises. Satan was trying to get man to worship him instead of God. Satan had deceived most of mankind into making blood sacrifices to him instead of to God. Jesus was the sacrifice to end all sacrifices.

There is a text which says "God cannot lie" so the answer as to whether He can by pass sin and its consequences is "no." As you have given reason.

We are certain that God will not overlook sin, neither will He manipulate or hide the consequences, because He is a God true to Himself and authentic, there are no lies and pretending with God.

The only wage or consequence of sin is death, so then, what are the consequences of sin which do not kill the sinner?

We agree on that, "nothing else would do," but the original Q is not what the atonement is or what it achieves, but how it works.

If your child breaks the vase after being told not to play with it, you can fix the vase and forgive the child, but with sinners it is not quite the same, in this case they are the vase which is broken and corrupted, that is what sin is and what it does, it destroys the human vessel as a temple or means through which the Holy Spirit can work.

When Adam was made, he was inspired by the way that God had made him, his feelings and thoughts were clear, connected, righteous and joyful. The Holy Spirit was able to celebrate Adam and to be the solace and confidence of his heart.

When he sinned the soul temple was cluttered and defiled, there was no more rejoicing and love towards God, it was afraid and cold and self defensive.

On the same day he betrayed his beautiful and once loved wife, in front of God, by blaming her for his choices in sin.

This frightened Eve so much she quickly decided to pass the entire problem onto the snake, which both knew was pathetic because the snake was just a puppet for the devil.

But instead of meeting their doom that day, it became an announcement for their substitute - the Lamb of God.

Now the pair had something happen to them, they did not die but lived. Christ had removed their sin and will allow a certain amount of consequences.

How does He do this? How does Christ become the substitute?

The last text "Hath MADE Him to be sin for us...that we might be MADE the righteousness of God in Him"

Thanks for that.

When Adam was first made, was he created righteous?

Yes, is the obvious answer,

So then who's righteousness did Adam have, his own or that of God through the Son?

Kan,

I'm thinkning that the blood (life / spirit) of a body heals its wounds, it doesn't just cover it like animal skins or fig leaves, it covers it like a scab that heals.

If Jesus is the body of us all, if he is the light, then it seems fitting that his spirit be used to cleanse our spirits, so as to heal the damage done. So, his blood is: the blood of the body, the spirit we are all meant to translate into the light/body, the truth which destroys the lie / corruption of the body, the etc. which probably goes into infinity.

Further, the blood only works to heal if you are spiritually cleansed, otherwise, your spirit will reopen the wound, like not being forgiven, or not forgiving, like having a disease, hence why we practice confession and forgiveness.

I think you do good to ask these types of questions... Don't let anyone stop you from seeking God.

Faith

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

For by it the elders obtained a good report.
Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.
By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh.
By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.
But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith.
By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went.
By faith he sojourned in the land of promise, as in a strange country, dwelling in tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise:
For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God.
Through faith also Sara herself received strength to conceive seed, and was delivered of a child when she was past age, because she judged him faithful who had promised.
Therefore sprang there even of one, and him as good as dead, so many as the stars of the sky in multitude, and as the sand which is by the sea shore innumerable.
These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.
For they that say such things declare plainly that they seek a country.
And truly, if they had been mindful of that country from whence they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned.
But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city.
Hebrews 11:1-16

This is what I was looking for - the salvation of God is never just a word or a facade, it becomes part of whatever it heals, it is Life in essence, physically and spiritually.

The atonement is an actual physical thing. It produces a second life for the fallen race. Everyone on earth is living by the merits of the atonement. The Life of God is borrowed by us, in the hope that the world will recognize the substitute for their sinful life, and be saved.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
