Hello Every one,

I am asking that you would post your beliefs and thoughts on what Jesus purchased for your life here on this earth. What kind of Life did He have in mind for you to live in the here and now.....Use scriptures too AND write what you believe the scriptures you use are saying. I thought it would be fun to see how we all grasp this.

Thank You and Blessings and Love

What kind of Life did He have in mind for you to live in the here and now

Abide

Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.

Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. John 15:3-4

In Him

These things I command you, that ye love one another. John 15:17

Amen~!

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.

If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Galatians 5:22-25

Galatians 3:26-28 To be "in Christ" means we have accepted His sacrifice as payment of our sins.We are suppose to live a life by faith Galatians 3:11.The Christian's life is suppose to persevere until the end.Our day to day Christian life strengths us as we seek God's word.

John 10:10b I have come that they may have life and that they may have it more abundantly.

Dispite physical pain, concerns for family who are also wracked with pain, and daily trials, our son recently said "But I know people who have all the world wants but are not happy, have no peace, and have no fulfillment."

We don't measure success by the world's standards. We are rich when we have Christ. We have his forgiveness and His Life in us. We have the Comforter or Helper, the Holy Spirit guiding us and shoring us up.

Others say if you have your health you have everything. But many of us don't have that either yet have God's love in us and supporting us, so we feel we are triumphant in all things through Christ Jesus.

Few things are more satisfying than being a part of seeing others receive Christ. It is exciting to witness as to what God has done in our lives, and/or being His instrument as He gives us the words another person needs to hear. Walking in the Spirit is an exciting and rewarding walk of faith. And leaving a legacy of faith in our children and grandchildren is also rewarding. We know we have left behind the strength to persevere when we have taught them that the source of their strength is in God and in His Word.

Hi Fish Catcher Jim,

Good question & one to keep before us. I so agree with all the good thoughts that others have said. My contribution is -

`..indeed I also count all things loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for who I suffer the loss of all things, & count them as rubbish, that I may gain Christ & be found in Him, not having my own righteousness, which is from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith; that I may know Him & the power of His resurrection, & the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death, if by any means, I may attain to the resurrection of the dead.` (Phil. 3: 8 - 11)

The kind of life Christ died to give me I believe is to know Him, the fellowship of His sufferings & the power of His resurrection life within to overcome - the flesh, the world & the devil. It`s a letting go of the things that try to hold us & a receiving of His strength within to become like Him. This life then overflows to others, as Willa explained. That is a great joy to see that in other`s lives too.

Marilyn.

TWENTY TWO PRINCIPLES OF CHRISTIAN LIVING (1 Thess 5:4-22)

CHILDREN OF LIGHT

4But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.

5Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.

ARE WATCHFUL AND SOBER

6Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.

7For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night.

WITH FAITH, LOVE AND AN EXPECTATION OF ETERNAL LIFE AND ULTIMATE PERFECTION

8But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation.

9For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,

10Who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him.

COMFORTING AND EDIFYING ONE ANOTHER

11Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do.

ESTEEMING ELDERS AND BEING AT PEACE WITH OTHER BELIEVERS

12And we beseech you, brethren, to know them which labour among you, and are over you in the Lord, and admonish you;

13And to esteem them very highly in love for their work's sake. And be at peace among yourselves.

WARNING, COMFORTING, SUPPORTING, WITH PATIENCE

14Now we exhort you, brethren, warn them that are unruly, comfort the feebleminded, support the weak, be patient toward all men.

NOT RETALIATING, BUT ALWAYS BLESSING

15See that none render evil for evil unto any man; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all men.

REJOICING ALWAYS

16Rejoice evermore.

PRAYING ALWAYS

17Pray without ceasing.

GIVING THANKS ALWAYS

18In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

OBEYING THE HOLY SPIRIT

19Quench not the Spirit.

OBEYING THE WORD OF GOD

20Despise not prophesyings.

TESTING EVERYTHING BY THE WORD

21Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.

AVOIDING THE APPEARANCE OF EVIL

22Abstain from all appearance of evil.

Every time I turned a page I found something else jump up and say hey look this was done for you too.

Thank YOU again

Here are just a few of the scriptures that show how each and every believer should be living. Now ask your self this......when we walk in defeat and lack and poverty sickness and oppression and depression and every other thing not in line with the written word of God - What kind of impression do we give unto our Lord who went to the cross for each and every one of us ? Kind of like saying....yea well you know it just was not enough for me because you have no idea what my life is like. What a slap in the face.

Well since it is our Heavenly Father and our God and Creator that we must repent unto and get right before Him- Jesus shows us this.

John 14:6

6... Jesus said unto them, I am the way, the truth and the life; no man cometh unto the Father, but by me !! ( The One and Only Way )

2 Corinthians 5:21 kjv

For He hath made Him to be sin for us, who knew no sin : that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him ( Jesus )

Now that we know and understand what is needed, we must follow through unto the next step in order to qualify for this New Life In Christ.

Well we all know how to get this all started working for ourselves or another words how to qualify or have these things operating on our behalf in our lives. It all begins with

John 3:16 and Romans 10:13

Asking Christ Jesus to be your personal Lord and Savior.

1 Peter 2:25 kjv

For ye were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls.

Then life begins.

Hebrews 4:14-16 kjv

14... Seeing then that we have a High Priest , that is passed into the Heavens, Jesus the Son of God, Let us hold fast our profession.

(( Profession also means Confession ))

15... For we have not a High priest which can not be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.

16... Let us therefore come boldly unto the Throne of Grace, that we may obtain Mercy, and find Grace to help in the time of need.

Ok here we have just been shown that not only can we BUT we NEED TO BE going to God Boldly, which means as His Covenant Family who knows who they are in Christ Jesus. Bringing His word with us......Another words simply walk right on in.

John 10:10 kjv... The thief cometh not, but for to steal, kill and destroy; I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

Galatians 1:4-5 kjv... Who gave Himself for our sins, that He might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the Will of God and our Father;

5...To whom be the Glory for ever and ever. A-men

(( If you ever get the chance read this verse 4 in the amplified bible. ))

John 14:27 kjv...Peace I leave with you, My peace I give unto you; not as the world giveth, give i unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

John 16:33 kjv... These things I have spoken unto you, that in Me you might have peace, In the world you will have tribulation; BUT Be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

Ok this is so cool !! Already we have seen that Jesus has Become our Shepherd and things have changed for us.

1. Made the only door to the Father for us

2. He made the way ( via the cross ) for us to be saved or made right

3. The righteousness of God in or through Christ Jesus.

4. He (Jesus) "Set It Up" so we can now go boldly at any time to the throne of Grace. 24/7/365 Never closed for holidays.....Always open unto His own.

5. So we could have a much more abundant life here on this earth.

6. Given us His peace and delivered us from this evil world - which means we can live in this world but do NOT have to be of this world or as this world.

Because He has already overcome this world for us.

Now this all sounds pretty awesome already in itself BUT there is much more Jesus has ALREADY DONE FOR US......It's ours for the taking.

Galatians

3:13 kjv....Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us; for it is written, Cursed is every one who hangeth on a tree;

3:14 kjv... That the blessing of Abraham might come on the gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through Faith.

3:29 kjv... And if ye be Christ's then are you Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.

I am not going to go into all the promises that God gave Abraham that ARE OUR PROMISES now as well. Look them up and if you see things in these promises that are not in your life - well why not ? They are yours and just like anything else - they just wont simply come to pass just because you are Born Again. Nope----

When we became born again we truly did inherit a lot of promises and benefits in God through Christ Jesus but we must learn how to take them and learn how to apply them into our daily lives. They will work for you and for me just like God intended on them to work BUT we have go to always go back to the base ( the written word of God ) and find out the kingdom principles or operating within the kingdom of God.

Now then I want to show you something else. Not only do we have the following.........But

1 Peter 2:24-25 jv

24... Who His own self bore our sins in His body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto Righteousness; by whose stripes YE WERE HEALED.

Isaiah 53:5 nlt... But He was wounded and crushed for our sins. He was beaten that we might have peace. He was whipped, and we were healed !

As written in Galatians 3:13 ( above ) we see that Christ Jesus has redeemed us from the curse of the law.........

CHECK OUT EVERYTHING THAT IS APART OF THE CURSE (Deut 28)

Let me ask you this ?

Is sickness and disease a cures or a Blessing ?

Is poverty a curse or a Blessing ?

Is walking protected like in Psalm 91 a cures or a Blessing (promise) ?

Getting the idea here ?

In John 10:10 we read Christ came that we might have life more abundantly..... Abundant in being sick or abundant in being healthy ?

Abundant in being broke or abundant in your giving and helping ?

Abundant in Bondage or abundant in Free from yokes ?

Your Choice......You Choose......REMEMBER......

God said He is a REWARDER of those who DILIGENTLY SEEK HIM.

God not only tells us but shows us many times that WE REAP WHAT WE SOW. Another words we reap from within what we sow.

So dig into His written word BY Faith for the Just shall live by faith. Plant His word in your hearts and keep it watered all the time walking by and in and through faith and it will grow roots and then grow up and produce fruit.

ANOTHER WORDS Sow His written word WITH FAITH into your hearts and lives and REAP FROM WITHIN HIS BENEFITS.....

Ok one last direction I wanted to go in.

Now read the following and honestly ask your self....am I seeing these things in my life and if so are they being seen abundantly in my life ?

John 14:12-14

12... Verily verily I say unto you, He that Believeth on Me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works then these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

13... And what soever ye shall ask in My name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

14... If ye shall ask anything in My name , I will do it.

John 16:23-24 also speaks of what ever we ask of Him we shall receive it that our joy may be complete .

Now take a moment and reflect on all the things that you know of the Jesus did through out His time on this earth and even simply the days of His ministry.

So I ask you why is not the body of Christ operating like this 24/7/365 ?

We should be .....oh and it is here now........that we the body of Christ will be living like the days of acts and more. It's up to each and every one of us to live like this or not. It's our choice........It has been done for us already.....We must make the choice to choose to do what it takes and live the life Jesus Purchased for each and every one of us.

I want to leave you with this question..........Ask Your Self what does this passage really mean for me..........1 John 4:17 .....Once you get a true Revelation of this........You Will Not Ever Be The Same........

It's the last half that I am speaking of..

(( Because as He Is - So Are We - In This World ))

I challenge every single person who reads this to take 30 days and seek God for His Spiritual Truth with these words....I mean Honestly and Diligently seek God and not your buddy or with head knowledge or human understanding.

Blessings and Love in Christ

Jim

If you are claiming that we need to be walking in perfect healing and prosperity,  I would say that are mistaken.

The "curse of the Law"  in Gal. 3:13 refers to spiritual death and eternal separation from God.   That's what Jesus came to set us free from.

There is no promise from God that followers of Jesus can or will walk in perfect health or will not suffer poverty.  The Word of Faith teachers claim that Jesus paid for healing and prosperity on the cross, but the Bible makes no such claims.

Funny how the apostle Paul, the man who taught us about faith, did not walk in perfect health, or prosperity.   Paul lists a number of things he had to suffer for the Gospel (II Cor. 11).  Paul was in prison in Philippi saying that he knows what it is like to be needy and what it is like to have plenty.  (Phil. 4:12)

Paul, in his ministry, had to suffer lack and poverty on many occasions.  He suffered an affliction that the Lord did not heal him from.

None of take joy in being sick or being poor.   But no matter what, Jesus is always enough.   Nothing more to get.   We may seek healing, but even if we don't get healed, Jesus is enough.  I may live below the poverty line, but Jesus is enough.   He provides for every genuine need.   Even if I never own  a house or real estate, Jesus is enough.   I don't have much in this world, but if I have Jesus, I have enough.

God has used sickness for his glory.   It's not necessarily His perfect will that we get sick, but He permits and it is what He is willing to use to demonstrate his faithfulness when we have nothing else to do but trust him.

The question is, will you love Him and follow Him, even if he doesn't fix your problems?   Will you still love Him, if he doesn't intervene and heal you and fix your finances and make you wealthy?

shiloh357 Greetings,

I thank you for your thoughts and views and even though I do not agree with them totally, never the less thank you very much.

I agree that Paul gave us a good example of being content in any situation. This is always a good thing and keeps your heart and mind pure and in a place where your faith can work. Complaining and blaming God would be no different then the children in the wilderness and look what that got them.

You say Paul suffered an affliction that God never healed him from. God told Paul His Grace sufficient for thee and was it not also said that when we are week He is strong in us ? I believe God was telling Paul you take care of this. You have my strength and power and you deal with it. You do not have to agree with me and that is really ok.

You say God permits sickness. Sickness happens because of the sin in this world. God is not in total control of everything in this earth. He gave control of some things to man. Romans 8:28....And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. He can do this in your life but if you are not walking upright then you probably will not see this happen. Nothing just happens.

You said....(((((The "curse of the Law"  in Gal. 3:13 refers to spiritual death and eternal separation from God.   That's what Jesus came to set us free from.))))) Yes those are but to things from the curse...Read Deut 28 and you will find there is more to this curse then just what you beleive.

We can settle and be content in any state we are in BUT this not saying we must stay in this place.

I have to go but want to take this up with you later today if you are willing.

Thanks again for replying and I am looking forward to talking with you.

Have a very blessed day

Jim

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
