If God can grant all these things to us when we get saved, he can also take it away if we disobey him. Again, I believe when I got saved, I obtained all those promises, and continue in them as long as I don't commit wilful sin. If I do, I by my wilful disobedience count Jesus' sacrifice an unholy thing and have done despite to the Spirit of grace.

Based on the inference "he is willing to take it away and may well do" - thats TWICE youve brandished God a liar. Fortunately Peter having denied Christ three times was later given chance to three times prove his love. Aren't you glad God is so forgiving? :)

Hi Friend, At Hebrews 10:26-- God said through his inspired writer Paul-- that there is no sacrafice ( Jesus sacrafice ) left for those who willfully practice sin. Believe God. Yet like Peter who repented was forgiven. Repentence is the only way to get sin blotted out. ( acts 3:19 )--- repentence is the stopping of doing the sin, not sinning and saying i am sorry and then repeating that process.

The scripture is saying the exact opposite of what you are contending and it should be obvious to anyone that reads it.

I think it bears my standpoint quite well and it should, since my standpoint is based on scripture. That whosover claims to know God, by faith and indeed they do, should not think that there knowledge of God, their belief of God saves them. Faith of its own self does not save us, rather it is THROUGH faith we are saved, by grace, unto the sacrifice of Christ BOUGHT into bondage of righteousness, the FRUIT of which is made known by works. The devils believe in him and tremble, because they are slaves to sin and their evil works will bear that out. Likewise, we who have through faith believed unto salvation are slaves to righteousness and the good works which he does through us are the fruit which bears out our saving faith.

Let me ask you a question. If a person who calls themselves a Christian goes through hard times and turns to alcohol subsequently becoming a drunkard, are they still saved?

Interesting. You commit each sin only once? or have you lied more than once in your christian life?, perhaps you had an unrighteous thought more than once?

Repentance (a turning around) is the forsaking of the unrighteous for the righteous, putting off the flesh and putting on the spiritual robes of righteousness. Those who walk the narrow path, still stumble, but their destination and the direction in which it lies remain.

1 Corinthians 6:9,10

9 Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,

10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, NOR DRUNKARDS, nor revilers, nor extortioners, SHALL INHERIT THE KINGDOM OF GOD.

Congradulations. Now you called God a liar because he says no drunkard shall inherit the Kingdom of God. He makes no exceptions for those who accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior. Would you like to change your view or go for your second strike?

Indeed, no-one shall inherit the kingdom of heaven. We were all in those categories before we were granted eternal life, but that means if anyone is a sinner he will never be granted eternal life! not one of us! and all because you took a passage out of context, well done, youve condemned us all! Thats hypocracy for you.

You tell me how it is impossible for a child of God to sin and I will tell you the context of the "drunkards" passage.

      I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

      For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

      2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices. 

      So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

      Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end. 
      Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house. 

      Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

      As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

      Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
      Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

      So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
