MG, I agree with you about the Iran nuclear talks.  Also, thanks for your support.  If you want to know the truth, I think many of the people here at WB would make a better President than the current occupant of the White House, and even many of the GOP's professional politicians.  I think MorningGlory would do a wonderful job.  We just need someone who wants to fix the problems, and not through socialism.  We need a conservative approach to the problems that exist.  There are a lot of good people that will never enter the world of politics because they don't have the money or the desire to be picked apart by the liberal media that could potentially do a great job.  We just don't ever have the option to vote for them.

Well, wow!  Thanks, Butero.  Now to figure out how to get REAL people with REAL ideals into office.  It seems that you can't run unless you're really rich.

Since I will never be eligible for president, but may some day be eligible to be governor of me state (Texas) I will answer the question of what I would do if I were in that position. I would cancel the policy of giving undocumented immigrants in state tuition for university. this is a personal gripe of mine as I at one time had a student visa, before I got my green card. I had to pay non resident tuition, which is three times the amount of in district, as giving undocumented immigrants in state tuition is deeply unfair who people who came hare and payed money and had medical examinations to come here via legal channels, as I did.  Otherwise I would carry on most of the policies of the current state administration with regard to being aggressive to bring jobs to the state from other states who are less business friendly than Texas.

I would immediately issue an executive order making all previous executive orders null and void.  I would meet with Congressional leaders to begin working on a plan to balance the budget and begin paying down the national debt.

Are you going to get rid of the Federal Reserve? You do understand that all current fiat money is base on debt. If all debt is repaid, there would be no money in circulation. As you pay back the debt, money supply contracts and becomes scarce, business won't be able to meet their debt obligations because there are more money in the market to pay back with. Modern recessions are created by artificial contraction of money supply by the bankers and Federal Reserve. A central banker even threatened to create a recession when Jackson threaten to not renew the central banking charter for the 2nd Central bank of United States.

Perpetual increase in national debt is designed from the creation of Central banking to keep nations under perpetual servitude. You cannot tackle the debt problem without getting rid of fiat money and actually use sound money.

Also, if you can nullify executive orders that fast, then succeeding presidents could reinstate them just as fast. You would need a more permanent solution than relaying on executive orders.

Although some of your platform is good, I find it more like a dictatorship and a continuing abuse of power not originally bestow on the president.  From the Constitution, I believe the president's only role is to execute the national policies and make treaties and lead in time of war, not to push any policies. Executive orders are basically exercise of dictatorial powers.

First of all, any President can already use the stroke of a pen to issue executive orders....

I don't believe they should have that right, so I would issue a single executive order....

to do away with all past executive orders....

You may be the first person that I have encountered preaching the benefits of having a nation in debt.  To me, that is absolutely nuts.  What I would ideally like to do is return to the gold standard.

You have completely misunderstood me. I did not say there is a benefit of having a national debt per se, but saying to change drastically would cause nothing sort of disaster, that is reality. If you understood how the monetary system works, you would know it is not very easy to switch the nations fiat system to a monetary system backed by assets overnight, it may take years or decades to completely retire old currency.

What I am going after is how do you intend on switching the monetary system from fiat to monetary system backed by assets without causing a disaster. What you said sounds good on paper, just like all other politicians promises, but when it comes to implementation almost everyone fall short or does the opposite. Talk is cheap, but do you actually have a executable plan?

I don't think using a wrong to correct a wrong is ever going to work. It only perpetuate that what you doing is legal. Using executive orders to ban executive orders is nonsensical and invalid in itself.

What I would do if I were President for a month?

First, I would call for a day of prayer and fasting for revival within the country.

Secondly, I would eliminate the culture of DC so that it can be fixed from within. Institute term limits on Congressmen / Senators then in effect you'd only have those running for office for the purpose of serving -- instead of career politicians.   This is the fundamental problem inside of D.C.  Term limits of 8 years for Congressmen / 12 years for Senators.

Secondly, I would institute a flat tax across the board.

Thirdly, I would institute the power of a - line-item veto -- so that bills passed by Congress and the Senate can't be pork-barreled through.

Fourthly, I would privatize Social Security -- and take the return the power of pensions and retirement accounts back to the people.

Fifth, I would institute a silver-visa to draw foreigners to the country and invest in it.  Silver visa is anyone over the age of 60 that has a clean police record / and yearly proof of health insurance -- to allow them to live in the United States for 10 year Visa lengths without hassle.  This would draw rich foreigners to the country that would spend money within the country without taxing our resources.  Draw investors into the country!

Sixth, I would repeal non-constitutional executive orders and remove the power of the President to issue executive orders.

Seventh, I would seal the borders like Israel -- with a fence -- you don't need a "wall".

Eighth, I would expand the number of judges who deal with immigration and deport anyone with a criminal record.  Have enough judges so the waiting list for trials is reduced to 30 days instead of the 3 years now.

Finally, I would remove Departments on the Federal Level that are unnecessary for example, the department of education.  I would make anything that would best serve the citizens from a state level instead of a federal level.

Sadly, I will not be running for president -- but I expect that when I do come to "power" the king we'll serve will make life easier to administrate across the world!  :)
