A Gentile can become a Jew.

A white person could become a Native American based on Native American culture, until the government interfered and started to define races and which were minorities.

 

If this woman wants to say she is African American, it is up to her. I think she has poor self esteem but there is no law other then some stupid government law which tries to define races. What she wants is not unheard of, and it is not something which just started to occur recently. I know a family of missionaries who are white. Their children were born and raised in the Congo. These white children were accepted in Congo, and the natives there who call themselves 'sons of Congo', call these white children 'sons of Congo'. Something almost unheard of. A white being a 'son of Congo' which is a black African designation.

 

She lied about or plagiarized some artwork, and that is an issue.

A Gentile does not become a Jew.  That is ridiculous.   A Gentile may identify with the Jewish people and convert to that religion and decide that they are going to live a Jewish life.   But they are still genetically a Jew.  There is no biological way a Gentile can become a Jew.  There is no change in DNA when  a Gentile decides to join the Jewish people and live as a Jew.

 

This woman is claiming to be BIOLOGICALLY  black.   She is claiming that there is no evidence that her parents are really her parents and she even rejects the validity of her birth certificate.  She is lying about her actual genetic/biological past.

 

She has, in her adult past, in 2002, admitted that she is white and claimed that she was discriminated against for being white and sued a school to that end.

 

This is not about a person who just wants to be "black"  because she empathizes with that people group.   This is a mentally disturbed woman who knowing lied on job applications claiming to being biologically black when she knows that is not the case.

A Gentile who converts becomes Jewish. The have committed to being a member of the Jewish people with the Jewish people being their people (From the book of Ruth about Naomi). The Mosaic covenant has law which apply to only the Jewish people and certain rights such as land ownership which is only for Jewish people. A Gentile who converts is obligated to the laws given only to the Jewish people and has an inheritance of land which only a Jewish person could inherit. (Look up Caleb).

 

Your argument is based on the governments definition of race. The governments definition is purely political and is not based on history or biblical reality. If we all have a common ancestor of Noah, as stated in scripture, race is either meaningless, or we all have a black/white/brown/yellow/red ancestor. Whatever Noah was. To want to identify, as this woman does, with a group, is an issue of identity and self esteem. It is not foreign, or unheard of, until the government got involved in defining racial minorities.

If I were Italian and I converted to Judaism.  I am still genetically Italian.  I am "Jewish" from the vantage point of religion and emotional affiliation and identification, but I am still genetically Italian.   Nothing about conversion changes that.  

 

My comments about race have nothing to do with politics but with reality.    Its the same as gender identification.   Bruce Jenner made cosmetic changes to his body to make him appear female, and he took on a female name.   Bruce Jenner is still a man and when stands before the Lord, he will stand before the Lord a man.

 

This is woman is not black.  If she marries a white man and has children, her children will be white with no trace of a black person's  DNA.    If she wants to adopt the African American culture and way of life, if she wants to immerse herself in that ethnicity and identify herself with that race, that is not problematic and is not really part of the dispute.

 

What you are either not honest enough to admit, or are intellectually incapable of grasping is that she KNOWS she is white and but as lied by claiming to be biologically, a black woman.   She knows she has white and has identified herself as white in a  lawsuit.   

 

She is white when it suits her to be.   But she lied to the NAACP when she presented herself as a biologically/genetically born black woman.   When confronted she denies her white parents are even her real parents.   This is not about a person simply wanting to identify with a particular race.   This is pure fraud.

 

Sorry, Qnts but your position is just wrong and unconvincing.   She is a white woman who lied about her parents and her ethnicity and you are defending it.   So don't talk to me about biblical reality while you defend lies.

There are genetic tests to show if she's got any person of color in her linage.    I have a friend who did the full test and found that his genetic make up is about 2% Neanderthal.    His wife has a lot of fun with that part  LoL

In the U.S., the government defines minorities. They have set a minmum percentage of Native American to be recognized as Native American, so by government laws, a white person can no longer become a Native American. 

 

 

Actually it isnt the feds who determine the standard of native american blood to be recognized as such. Each tribe sets its own standards to be recognized as such. Some are very strict, no less than 1/4. Others are quite lax and permit even 1/64.

There is no genetic test to determine race as there is no genetic difference. These supposed race test do nothing more than compare 1000th of such test with a sketchy algorithm and try and pin point a basic geographic location.
