Ive noticed a lot of posts about stuff like selfies and the like-and theyre all symptoms of a problem-a Godless america. So im starting this to show yet another symptom-the elevation of animals, to humans.

Ive been seeing frequently, a lot of "pro animal" posts. Now, don't get me wrong, I don't think owning a pet is a sin, or anything like that. I own several myself. My issue, is stuff like "whats more heroic then saving a baby? watching this guy swim through icy water to save a dog. Ok, so how is that more heroic then saving a human? And lots of people wanting stricter gun control laws-even saw one post suggesting those involved in dog fighting should be hung. Whats worse, is im seeing christians being caught up in this junk.

Don't get me wrong, im against animal cruelty, but when did animals, become on the same level as humans? its pure idolatry-is what it is, saying animals, have equal to or more rights then humans, is nothing less then that. I saw one post that had a picture of a fox that said "don't complain about me being a pest when you took my habitat and turned it into yours" well, Biblically, we have that right, we have dominion over the entire earth-including that fox. We have more right to that territory, then that fox does. If you disagree with me, tough-thats what the Bible says,

I love my dogs-but you know what, Im not going to jump into a freezing cold river to save one, and if some idiot steals it and uses it for dog fighting-im not going to push for the death penalty. Im also not going to go into debt, to keep the dog alive-if it becomes more expensive to keep the dog then my budget can afford, then the dog will have to go. and quite frankly, its sad that there are people that will judge me for that-but thats the way it should be. Pets are not human-nor should they be treated as such.

I think a lot of people, fall into this trap, because since they don't have a God in their life, they need to fill that hole with something-animals. And I think many christians follow suit because theyve been deceived into thinking this, and somehow associate being a christian and caring, and being responsible for the world, somehow translates into trumping commen sense, sound doctrine, and human rights to save a animal.

You do have a point, i have had that discussion with a friend before. But i most say, you sound a bit angry... :)

I think you could have been more "friendly" with your opinion, everyone is entitled to one.

Actually I think pat has a point and I never saw any anger in his post. I see people claiming that we need to be vegetarians to spare animals, while at the same time they are pro abortion. The video of a man rescuing a dog tugs at the heart and is the kind of cutesy fluff story news folks like. So perhaps thats why you see it. But there does seem to be a dichotomy in the views of many folks. So caring of animals while uncaring of humans. Before anyone jumps on me lol, my father is a vet. I was raised to view animals in high regard. I dont believe in mutilating animals for the sake of looking good for the breed (docking ears and tails for instance). I refused to do the frog thing in high school biology because it was an unnecessary waste of life. I support animal rescue groups. But I do think some folks elevate animals to an unnatural position. Going too far in stewardship of animals. Especially when someone like PETA says a woman in california who was attacked by a mountain lion should not fight the lion but accept and welcome her fate as its lunch.

I saw a video where a guy was asked this question:   "if you lived between two neighbors with swimming pools and you looked out and saw the pool on the left had a drowning dog and the pool on the right had a drowning man, and you only had time to save one of them, which would you save?"     He had to really think about that question for a while.  I don't think he answered the question.

We have sunk to a new low when animals are on the same level as humans.

The love and care and expense lavished on pets in North America is definitely the symptom of spiritual sickness.  Given the fact that there are millions of children without proper food, clothing and shelter, the focus on pets instead of people is unrighteous.  Some people even naively believe that pets will enter Heaven! Many people have lavish funerals for their pets as though they were people. Yet they have little or no concern for their own souls, or the souls of their neighbors.

But, as mentioned above, there is a hole or a void in every person's life, and if Christ does not fill that void, then the things of this world will attempt to fill it.  If Christ is in control, He will focus our attention on people, and and on souls and their eternal well being.  Not on pets.

Wow. That someone even had to think about that question. I would sacrifice many things to save an animal. A new silk dress etc. But there is no question that I would try and save the drowning man.

You see it on the morning news when people are putting special leg warmers and paw protectors on their dogs.

I have had dogs they do just fine in the backyard.  God designed dogs be able to handle the out doors.   As long as you keep them fed and watered, they can take care of themselves.

In arizona, dogs can burn their pads in the summer. My dad saw that frequently in animals. So some do need paw protectors when their owners take them for walks on the sidewalks. I had a dog that needed a sweater to keep her warm in the winter if I took her outside. I see nothing wrong with that. That is just taking care of the animal. She didnt have a rhinestone collar or anything weird like that.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
