Hello Hosam, and welcome to Worthy.  The first person you need is Jesus Christ as your Savior.  I have had a problem with lust since my teenage years, but it help me to come to the understanding that I wasn't the good and great person I so highly thought of myself as, so I came to know Jesus Christ as my Savior to save me from my lust along with my other great sins.

I have heard that a high majority of Christians (and that includes females) have some type of porn addiction, and I include myself, even though God has given me some great victories over it recently, my old nature, is always a problem.  But I have found if I keep my thoughts on being obedient to Christ, II Corinthians 10:3-5, and think on the things that are true, honest, just, pure, lovely, of good report, which have virtue and praise in other word, things which God through Christ has provided us;      Philippians 4:8, I do not feed the lust of my flesh.

If you are a Christian remember that you are not alone in your struggle but do keep in mind the enemy is out to devour you:

8)  Be sober, be viligant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour.   9)  Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.  I Peter 5:8-9

Just remember when we fall in whatever sin we have committed that Jesus stand before the Father for us:  My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not.  And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteousness.  I John 2:1   So it would be like the devil going to God the Father throwing every sin we have just committed at God, and telling the Father that we can't be His child.  But then Jesus step in and states, Father this child trusted Me as their Savior, stating Paul's words about Himself:  For He hath made Him to be sin for us, who knew no sin: that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him.        II Corinthians 5:21  So that even though we are sinners, because Christ took our sins, on Himself we who are so unrighteous, are made into Christ Jesus Righteousness and He never once sin.  I would suggest next time you fall to this sin, immediately confess to God, and than glorify Christ Jesus for what He has done for you.

I can only add that true repentance means righting the wrong if possible.  Go to the person that you lied to and tell the truth.  Matthew was a thief and gave back more than he stole.  If you are married then confess your lust to her; it will hurt her deeply but ask her forgiveness and prayers.  You need to build such a relationship with her that you can immediately think of her when you thoughts go elsewhere, and think of the other person as a beautiful child of God who belongs to someone else.  Love your wife as Christ loves the church and gave Himself for her.  Serve your wife and cherish her above all women.

Since Adam and Eve sinned in the garden, we have had a struggle between the flesh and Spirit.  Temptations are everywhere.  It is so bad today, I almost feel like we are living in a cesspool.  It is very difficult for people to avoid struggles in one area or another, though we have our own weaknesses and strengths.  What will bring one person down may not effect another person at all.  The devil knows how to hit you where you are most vulnerable, and according to your post, your biggest weakness is lust and lying.

It won't be easy.  There is no magic formula to where you will suddenly no longer struggle, although I have heard of instances where a person was instantly delivered by God when they asked for help.  My suggestion would be to do as scripture says and resist the devil.  When we do that, he will flee from us.  He has to see you are serious.  You can't just offer up a quick resistance and then give up, but if you make it clear you are not going to give in to temptation, he will flee.  We are taught to take our thoughts captive to the pulling down of strong holds, meaning that when bad thoughts come to your mind, recognize they are not right, reject the immediately, and ask the Lord to strengthen you.  If you happen to fail, immediately ask the Lord to forgive you.  If you confess your sins, God is faithful and just to forgive you and cleanse you from all unrighteousness.

This next piece of advise isn't because I have any issue with Willa.  I am not even going to say her advise is bad.  It is just not how I would handle things.  I don't see any need to say things that will hurt others.  When we are struggling with sin, we need only confess our sins to God.  I never saw where you said you were married or single or what kind of lies you are telling, so I don't want to read more into this than what you said.  Here is the thing about lying, and it is similar to other sins like cursing.  If you get in the habit of doing things like that, it gets harder and harder to stop.  You are going to have to make a strong effort to be honest at all times.  That will be easier if you are not committing sins you feel the need to cover up, so that is further incentive to resist temptation.  The Bible speaks of how bodily exercise profits a little, but holiness is profitable unto eternal life, or something like that.  Practice righteousness.  Practice honesty.  Practice taking your thoughts captive.  When you first start exercising, your muscles will get sore, and you will get discouraged and want to quit, but if you keep at it, you will eventually see results and without all the pain.  It will get easier over time.

I will be friends with anyone who wants to be friends.  I will also be happy to try to help in any way I can, so consider me an option of someone you can come to for advise.  You can just send me a pm and I will get back with you when I can.  If some time goes by before my reply, it is only because my life is very busy right now, and I can't always give an immediate reply, but I will eventually answer your messages.  The main thing I want to say in closing is don't beat yourself up over past failures.  You can only deal with your reality now, so make the decision to start practicing righteousness today.  Repentance means to turn around and go in another direction.  As Jesus told the woman caught in the act of adultery, "neither do I condemn thee, go and sin no more."  Just do your best, and trust God to help you when you are weak.

Greetings Hosam,  I have had trouble with both lust and lying and have gained victory through walking with the Lord.  I would be happy to talk to you about it.  The guilt and shame of sin can be unbearable for a believer who is continuing in them. Peace!

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
