I was a kid at the time and didn't really know what I was doing so guessed at most of it. Also I got two of them thinking I would breed them but only after I got them I realized I got two females. LOL My mother got mad at me cause I swiped the bathroom scales to record how much weight they gain. It was a daily job taking care of them. Feeding, clean water and keeping their home clean from poo. I fixed up a place in the yard so I could take them out of their hutch and play in the grass. They like that. Word of caution though if they are not use to be handle they will kick and scratch and can do some painful damage. So be careful handling them until they get use to you. They have to be protected from many predators even if you live in the city..... If you raise them to show it can be very entertaining..... if you raise them for food, never ever name them...
