I've got New Zealand White's, Silver Fox, and Mini Lops, all pedigreed, and several of show and championship quality.  caring for them is labor intensive, and I'm wanting to get larger, so if anybody knows quicker ways of doing things--especially the cleanup--LET ME KNOW!

I raised rabbits one year for my school FFA project. I was a kid at the time and didn't really know what I was doing so guessed at most of it. Also I got two of them thinking I would breed them but only after I got them I realized I got two females. LOL  My mother got mad at me cause I swiped the bathroom scales to record how much weight they gain. It was a daily job taking care of them. Feeding, clean water and keeping their home clean from poo.  I fixed up a place in the yard so I could take them out of their hutch and play in the grass. They like that.  Word of caution though if they are not use to be handle they will kick and scratch and can do some painful damage. So be careful handling them until they get use to you.

it's not that simple.....   they do have to eat and get water (every day).......   and they do poop just about everywhere very often and eventually that builds up into a mess.

They have to be protected from many predators even if you live in the city.....   If you raise them to show it can be very entertaining.....   if you raise them for food, never ever name them...

automatic feeders, waters, hutches built off of ground relieves most of the raising stuff....
