Retrobyter, DO NOT EVEN THINK ABOUT WASTING MY PIG FAT!!!!

oh sorry,  gonna go fry some bacon and chill out...

(And incase someone misses it this was an attempt at humor)

for years and years people would try and figure out why my mothers green beans were so much better than everyone else's.   She grew and canned her beans herself and turned out she grew pinto beans but picked them and canned them as just regular green beens.....    but each batch had a good amount of bacon grease put in them also.    Made for a very unique taste.

Is it good for you.....    well we had bacon and eggs, ham and cheese, barbecue port ribs other things.

Mom and dad lived to their upper 80's,  I'm 68, my brother is 71 and my sister is 75 and we all seem to have had healthy lives.   Mom and dad had troubles in thier late 70's but still was pretty much living on thier own till the last six months of thier lives.

Hoping my siblings fare as well along with myself.

read the chapter of acts of it in full contexted, it is not about food, but it brings to what the apostle believes to not do that would be against, eating clean and unclean, for paul was a citizen of jew and of the gentile, if my memory is correct?

so by his own statement he provides what he was told not to do , but the vision, is of the gentiles coming into the fold, this is all clear by reading ,

now as what Jesus said all is clean ,not what goes in a mans stomach , but from his heart and the words that come from is what defiles a man, this is true,

but there is no way , that jesus is going to include, all of the unclean, which was told to naoh as he brought in to the ark , as the dietary law was stated to the people, and at the end when God returns there is a verse that he will take vengeance on those behind the tree chewing on wines flesh, so you tell me that we are ,

under grace and we are open to all that we wish and desire for Grace as covered it all, james states that by grace does not give us the right to Sin freely with out , being held responsible, if you stop and look at just what is presented, not looking at moses law , not looking at the grace that covers, for most don't agree that grace is not of all the law ,but only sin and death is covered,  for Jesus came to fulfill and not abolish, and there is not one jot or tittle to be changed for Gods word is for ever,

and so, if you want to believe what Jesus said is to don't worry ,about the eating of unclean , then go ahead, but I believe in obedience to the word and in self discipline we are under a ,grace but yet , not to break any that God has given us, for instruction or commandments

Jesus says it is those that follow the commandments that are the doers and followers of his word,

this brings us to why would Jesus Him self say  something that God has told the people, and today we are not subjected to the same, many don't understand me in this , and I am sorry if I am not able, to explained this clear, but it is not hard to understand, the position of Gods word  and the actions of the sinners saved by grace,

i.E, would Jesus say its okay to go eat that fruit in the garden of eden , now that we are under grace? if you say ,because now its all okay, then you will see the error of what we have justified and , given into as compromise, and followed what others are telling us,

would you go and eat that fruit in the garden , now being what you called justified under grace ?

I just do not believe that God would use that as an example unless it was also OK to eat...    I also think that none of the old covenant laws are in effect for us to day.....    we are governed and covered by the commands that Jesus gave us...  Whatever we bless and thank him for is permissible to eat.

I agree with Patriot, save those that choose to be saved and for the ones that wish to do us harm don't waste lard on them. All we have to do is let the jihadist know there are women pulling the trigger on them and that will take at least half the fight out of them.

Other on, I do not judge you on what you believe to be the truth ,  and you need to find your self with God , just like I am finding my self with God, how beautiful is the feet of those that bring the Good news , and the message of salvation,

I have been told here that this is not a salvation issue , so no big deal,'

I believe in my heart and spirit , I would not say its okay to drink poison ,for it wont hurt you , we have grace, I would not tell you that you can chew on poison ivy , or put it in your salad, but this is what we know to be wrong, and is not good for us, so not only by discipline we don't, it is because what it can do to us, that we will do what is right and avoid it at all costs,

so with the dietary laws to the people of old by what God stated is in fact, today proven to cause problems , cancer and other things to your health, now knowing what is good and bad by the technology we have in medical science, some become vegetarians , some just stop eating things with high grease and things that contribute to more health problems,

so why would we try are hardest to even justify , the need to just do what we are going to do and not read all the scripture that tells us not too, instead we debate and come in with the selfish pride , and then we have over come the will of God with our smarts and skills to do as we please , and forget about discipline , and holiness of God,

so now where do we stand,  given the information , it is up to each individual to accept or deny the statement , for there own belief,

now if we don't want to follow through with examining the facts or the information provided , then that's on you ,

but ... to whom is given , much ? much is required ! and to whom is given a little ? a little is  required,

we all need to draw on the holy spirit , and seek God in all that we have and in all that we do , for if we are not doing this , then how can we say , we are walking with Jesus ?

I am not telling anyone what to do , except seek God in all things , and examine our selves, as David , says search me oh God .

and I would just say to read the Bible and let it tell you things and don't go looking for things you might think in the Bible..   It's something I learned about 50 years ago when I left the Church of Christ.   You can find just about anything you care to look for in that big old complex book, but if you take the entire thing and make it all fit together and make sense, the gospel becomes really rather simple.  And to do that one must have read the whole book many more than once, for me personally when I decide what a single verse means, it has to also agree with all the other's in the Bible, or I'm not seeing something right.

We are all at different levels in our walk, and I'm not even sure we are all to go down the same paths, but we do end up in the same place in the end.   That's why Paul tells us to work out our own salvation....

very true , wise one, we need to all read the bible and seek what is the spirit telling us, for we are all in different levels and times in our walks, but it does all end up at the same place, but we need to know that God loved us , Jesus came to save which was lost, and we are to give our all to him, if we be followers, and get out of the hearing of the word and the preaching of the word,

I am stable and firm in my walk with Yahweh , and if we bring others to know that God is a loving god , but also righteous in justice, then we do not have to debate on nickel and dimes , as we do here, but to go out and try to share the word in love and kindness, and if they refuse, pray for them and move on,. we make the bible a obstical by whos right and whos wrong, by who knows more and who don't, and forget about just loving people like jesus , the people of old were told , love your God with all that you have and all that you are , and second to love your neighbor, if we just follow these two, then we will be okay,

not having to trouble our selves and others with small words and bickering that is for foolish people , let us not be foolish but wise, for God conquers the wise with simplicity and basic agape ,in humility and love, for the word of the cross, is what we need to remind us , of how sinful we are and that we are saved by a hope that is not yet seen,

there is power in the word of God, !!! and we so often forget this.

Lol. I am against allowing the refugees in, and like others, I think Islam is a horrible, violent, theology with one quest -- convert the world or kill anyone who doesn't. But, lets not forget what makes it up -- people. People like you and me. Are they following a false religion? Yes. But, Christ died for them, too. And soaking bullets in blood, and burying them in pig skins just seems childish to me. Would I defend myself against a Jihadist? Certainly. But, I would also share Christ's love with them, if I had the chance.

Shabbat shalom, the_patriot2015, and Happy Birthday for the Messiah.

Whoah! Slow down, there, partner! Who said anything about "soaking bullets in blood, and burying them in pig skins?!" That wasn't me! I said, soak the bullets in pig fat! You took that WAY out of proportion! However, the REAL deterrent would be to let them know (and fear) such weapons that would render them "Paradise-less!" KNOWLEDGE is our weapon, more than the lacing of our ammo with pig fat! "Hate the sin but love the sinner" should ALWAYS be our motto!

You added the phrase, "...if I had the chance," and THAT'S the rub! In a suicide bombing, it is so sudden and unexpected that you probably wouldn't get that chance! We must re-educate them to realize that bombing us would NOT be in their best interests!

Well, not exactly. See, I want them to THINK BEFORE THEY ACT about the "cons" as well as the "pros" of their actions! I don't want to appear mean-spirited, on the other hand nor do I wish them to see us as sheep that are waiting to be slaughtered! We must stand up for ourselves with a tactic that will work in their way of thinking. We don't have to make the first move of aggression, but we should have a shield in place that will stand up to their initial assault! We can fire second, but we need to be ABLE to fire second! Understand?

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
