Let's simplify things.

THE CHURCH = ONE BODY = BELIEVING JEWS (good olive tree) + BELIEVING GENTILES (wild olive tree) = CHILDREN OF GOD = HEIRS OF GOD and JOINT HEIRS WITH CHRIST. 

I notice that Jeff did not mention "the Church" or "the Body" in his post, yet he is talking about this entity.

and gentiles represent other nations not of God,,

so you may agree or not agree but I find this very interesting, for many jews want to be Christians when they see how Jesus is lord, and the Christians wanting to be jews for the royal people that is stated to be Gods little nation  so with that said, there is many scriptures that make us all one , and there is no difference between jew and gentile, as stated by the apostles and the through out the bible,, if I am wrong and I know I am not , feel free to respond, I will look up the scriptures to this, and post  later, I wanted to get this out while it was fresh in my head, I also have  a video that explains and covers all the scriptures to facts of his , that I am stating, I already posted it on the thread of covenant vs covenant it is by ministries 119 and the video is called grafted, which is us the gentiles the wild branches, coming in to the fold, now this does not exclude the jews that will come back in the end.

I would think what I was taught in Christian churches, are not in line with this , and they and many continue to separate us , spiritually, even though we cannot change who we are , but we are all one in God the father, and the son Jesus who has saved us from our selves  and death

I hope no one takes this as bring in new teachings, but it is not new , and its all through the bible , and so I am not out of line to bring this to the table for examination and conversation and posts for comments and responses , thank you and blessings

 

Hello sinner saved. I believe you are mistaken here. It seems you are speaking of things said in Ephesians?  So many read Ephesians 2 outside of the cultural context of both first century Judaism as well as the law of Moses IMO. Ephesians 2 when speaking of being aliens from citizenship and being without Christ in the world, spoke of in times past, according to the Mosaic covenant at Sinai..

As you said covenant vs covenant. These passages therefore speak of "priesthoods" based upon the two covenants made with Abraham found in the law. And the high priest being an anointed one (CHRISTOS). So you have Christos vs Christos as well.

How were Gentiles aliens and strangers to the promises without a Levitical CHRISTOS in the world?

The high priest entered into the very house of God, as a representative agency for the twelve tribes. Mosaic law required circumcision to gain tribal affiliation. Circumcision therefore afforded inclusion as a member of the nation of Israel through the Levitical Christ. The uncircumcised had no anointed one to appear before God on their behalf. The stones engraved with the names of the twelve tribes were on both the high priests shoulders, six on each. As well as all twelve on his breastplate of decision, as is spoken here.

Ex 28:29  And Aaron shall bear the names of the children of Israel in the breastplate of judgment upon his heart, when he goeth in unto the holy place, for a memorial before the LORD continually.

Furthermore, if you continue reading Ephesians you will find that NOW the Jew and Gentile both have access in Christ Jesus.

Again, the household of God, is speaking of the priesthood. The common Israelite could not enter into Gods house to appear before God. Therefore he needed a priest to do so on his behalf. Even the common priest could not enter the holiest of all in Gods house. The law in fact says the Israelite is a stranger in Gods house as this verse shows.

Ex 29:33 And they shall eat those things wherewith the atonement was made, to consecrate and to sanctify them: but a stranger shall not eat thereof, because they are holy. We also get a picture of the Lord's supper here. instating the new covenant priestly feast.

Therefore in Christ Jesus both Jew and Gentile gain access with the holy ones, into the very holiest of all in the heavenly temple.

You're right.

I think more than you realize.

It's not just a picture.

It is a shadow of what was to come.

What the shadow points to cannot be less substantial or real than the shadow.
