Biblical Calculations 2. ( the final 7 years).

I believe God`s word tells us the details of the timing of the Lord`s return to the Mount of Olives. To help in our discussion I am making 3 threads so that each section can be looked at properly.

1. God`s purpose for the `70 X 7` time period – Israel`s chastisement.

2. The final 7 years (& just after) – month & possible year.

3. The final 7 days (& just after) – day, month & year.

 

This thread is focussing on the second section – the final 7 years (& just after). I believe God has given us Biblical Calculations concerning this time period, revealing the month & possible year of the Lord`s return to the Mount of Olives.

I believe there are quite a few Biblical Calculations & details that reveal to us the month & possible year of the Lord`s return to the Mount of Olives.

 

THE MONTH.

We know that the 7 years is made up of 2520 days.(Rev. 11: 2 & 3. 1260 days, 42 months – 3 ½ years)

 

Now during the tribulation Israel starts to sacrifice again. The most important day of the year when this occurs is the 10^th of Tishri (Sept/Oct). It is the day of Atonement, Israel`s holiest day of the year when the high priest enters the most sacred part of the temple. The people fast throughout the day to express their repentance: animals are sacrificed & blood is sprinkled inside the holiest place. This is a time of National repentance for their sins.

 

In Daniel ch. 8 we are given a clue as to when this time of sacrificing starts.

 

`Then I heard  a holy one speaking, & another holy one said to that certain one who was speaking, “ How long will the vision be, concerning the daily sacrifices & the transgression of desolation, the giving of both the sanctuary & the host to be trampled underfoot? And he said to me, “For 2300 days; then the sanctuary shall be cleansed.` (Dan. 8: 13 & 14)

 

 

Here we see 3 things to happen over the 2300 days time period.

 

1. The daily sacrifices,

2. The transgression of desolation, giving both the sanctuary & host to be trampled.

3. Then the sanctuary is cleansed.

    

    

 

So I`ll do some time lines to show what I think.

2520 days (7 years) – 2300 days = 220 days.

220 days = 7 months & 10 days.

 

Notice the 10 days. This I believe is the 10^th of Tishri, the Day of Atonement, Israel`s holiest day of the year. Thus I believe Israel would start sacrificing on that day, the 10^th of Tishri.

(Just an aside – after the Russian war, Israel cleanses the land for 7 months. (Ez. 39: 12)This is, I believe, in preparation for the National repentance on the 10^th of Tishri (Sept/ Oct).

THE possible YEAR.

 

When studying God`s numbers in His word relating to Israel, we need, I believe, to keep in mind the purpose that God has written them.

 

eg. The Feast of Tabernacles, which is on the 15^th of the month, & starts Israel`s Civil New Year. This is the feast that is recorded in Zechariah when in the Millennium the people of the nations go up to Jerusalem, once a year to celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles. The meaning of this is - `God dwelling us.`

 

`And it shall come to pass that everyone who is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall go up from year to year to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, & to keep the feast of tabernacles.` (Zech. 14: 16)

 

 

Now in Daniel 12 we are given some very important numbers relating to the completion of the time of trouble & the deliverance of Israel.

 

`...there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation, even to that time. And at that time your people (Israel) shall be delivered.` (Dan. 12: 1)

 

 

• `time, times & half a time,` (3 ½ years) when the power of Israel will be completely shattered.

`1,2 90 days,` From the time that the daily sacrifice is taken away & abomination of desolation set up

• `1,335 days` blessed for he who waits.

Putting that altogether –

1,260 days = 3 ½ years of 30 day months.

 

1, 290 is 30 days later.

 

1,335 is 30 days & 30 days & 15 days later.

 

 

Thus we can see that the 15^th day at the end is the feast of Tabernacles (I believe) that will be in the Millennium as prophesied. I will explain later, what I believe the two extra months are for.

Summing up so far as to what I believe concerning Israel`s important dates in the 7 years.

 

• The 10^th of Tishri, the Day of Atonement. (sacrifices)

• The 15^th of the New Year, the Feast of Tabernacles. (God with us).

After the end of the 7 years there are 2 extra months before the New Year.

 

1,260 days (1/2 of trib.) + 30 = 1,290 days.

1,260 days (1/2 of trib.) + 30 + 30 + 15 = 1,335 days.

(A/D is the Abomination of desolation when the sacrifices end.)

 

So what are these 2 extra months & what are they for?

 

 

ADAR MONTH.

 

After Shebat comes the month of Adar. And every 3 years or so Israel has a double Adar month to come in line with its feasts & the Solar Calendar. Thus there are 2 months of Adar before the New Year. They are called Adar 1 & Adar 2. Adar 2 is the recognised month for the time of rejoicing over deliverance from their enemies.

So.... the question here is, `In what years, in the future, do these double months, double Adars fall?`

 

According to the Jewish Calendar the double Adars are in –

 

2016, 2019, 2022 -  all these do not give time for a 7 year trib.

 

2024, 2027, 2030, 2033 (etc) – my choice is 2027 & will give more details as to why, in the 3^rd thread on Biblical calculations 3 ( the final 7 days).

Hi Marilyn,

 

 As per the other thread I'm disputing the entire concept of a future 7 year trib, I believe it's only 3.5 year long. In Matthew 24 Jesus mentions the starting point as the AOD, and we can see 42 months from the AOD until the end in Daniel 9:27 and Daniel 12.

Going back to Daniel 9:27, often cited as the source for the 7 year tribulation belief,  believe Jesus fits very well into the 3.5 year period of Daniel 9:27.  The Messianic promise was obviously  fulfilled by Jesus , even at Nazareth Jesus publicly describes himself as fulfilling Isaiah so we do actually have a "confirmed promise". Then 3.5 years later the crucifixion was actually the final sacrificial lamb, effectively ending the significance of the old sacrificial system. This does seem to be a close fit with Daniel 9:27.

I believe there is a Gentile "gap" in the 490 year Jewish timeline. Before Jesus, God's Revelation was focused on Jews. During Jesus' 3.5 year ministry the gospel/truth focus was on the Jews. This gap represents the gospel focused on all nations including Jews, which occurred since the crucifixion. Then Romans 11:25 describes a future when the gospel will once again focus on the Jews, after the victory of the "fullness of the nations".   This victory can be seen described in Rev 12, when the victory of the gospel ushers in the great tribulation of 3.5 years during which the woman/Israel is protected. So we have the protection and revival of Israel during the great tribulation.

 

In summary, since the Babylonian Exile, Jews then have a 490 year period of focus. This period starts with the issuing of the decree of Artaxerxes to restore Israel, in the autumn of 458 BC.   Then 486.5 years until the crucifixion, then the gospel to all nations, then from the AOD there will be 3.5 years of gospel to the Jews.

Where then is the middle of the One Seven?  Scripture says; 7 Sevens, 62 Sevens, and a 1 Seven. (Note Scripture does not say a 3 1/2 year period and a gap with another 3 1/2 year period)  The One Seven must be continuous to be a One Seven.  Dan 9:27 - in the middle of the Seven....   In American football, the 50 yard line is the middle of the playing field, the coin toss is at the 50 yard line.    Or fold a paper in half, the crease is at the midpoint.  Tear a sheet of paper in half and you have two halves not one full sheet.  The same with a One Seven.

I am saying there is a gap in the last seven. A gap is just that, a gap. Sure most things do not have gaps, and you do well to mention some of them,  but then some things do have gaps. For example there is the beast in Revelation that was and is not and is to come. There is a gap in its power. If I mention things that have gaps, does that help my argument?  A spark plug has a gap. So just because you mention things that do not have a gap, does this add strength to your argument? Does a timeline never have a gap?  

The prophecy was about Israel.  Daniel was concerned for Israel. We know that there will be a future time of a Jewish revival according to Romans 11:25. And we know that Jesus did focus on the Jews according to the gospels.   So... is there a gap in God's emphasis on Israel?   YES      

STARTING POINT: The gap in God's emphasis on Israel starts when Jesus was the final sacrificial lamb. (Note: final means some end to lamb sacrifices).  This opened the way for Gentiles

END POINT:   The gap in God's emphasis on Israel ends when the gospel is preached to all nations. At the fullness of the nations ; then Jews are once again open to the gospel  (Romans 11:25)

So the gap in the Jewish timeline DOES exist

Just curious... why don't you overlap the two periods in Rev 11? The period of trampling and the period of the two witnesses being the same.  Both periods in Rev 12 should be overlapped too.

Hi Argosy,

I do overlap those two numbers - 1260 = 42 = 3 1/2 years. Does that help. Also it`s great that you see the Lord dealing with Israel & the nations in the tribulation. So really it is just this 7 years which you see differently. However we will continue. I will soon post `Biblical Calculations 3 (the Final 7 days). Hope you find it interesting.

BTW What are your thoughts on the 2,300 days & the 2 extra months of Adar?
