Sorry, Otherone, I decided to delete the video because it may offend some, but yes reverse speech, I was skeptical of it until recently when I found out that human babies (and adult dolphins as well) form sounds in reverse order of hearing. So the last sound to be heard is said first. The sounds of infants were played backwards and they formed appropriate words. It was found that babies are very honest and considerate.

It also happens that the human mind subconsciously and automatically organizes sentences into the most important subject matter first and adjectives etc second. The old English and most other languages in the world are structured like that. But modern English stands out as one of the languages which is mostly back to front.

I used to record all of our team meetings at work and most of the district meetings too for I was a scribe for our team for years.....   I got to playing around with them after I heard of the reverse speech and found it to be real.    I told all my team mates what I was doing and they told me I was nuts so they didn't seem to mind what I was doing.......   then one day after a major meeting I was building some filters for one of our  corporate speakers when one of our regional managers happened to come by and things got really dicey.  Ended up having to sign some disclaimers and not purchase any stock for a year....

If he hadn't come by, it would have been really hard for me not to have made a very large amount of money in the stock market that quarter.....   but I guess God sent him by to keep me out of trouble.

That's interesting.

The person who made the video about famous people in speeches, has had about 30 years experience with reversals, and has approached it scientifically. I still have some doubt, because I keep thinking that there are so many words and sentences which can be derived from almost any medley of sound, that it may just be coincidental. The other thing that puts me off is the lack of clarity and quality - in general, of reversals.

In our team meetings I have had people spill their inner most thoughts about themselves...    I've talked with my team members privately later and asked them if there was anything I could do to help and they would be shocked that I even knew about it.  once you get heavily involved, you can hear the harmonics in the happening as you listen to the forward speech; be that as they say it or in the recording.   it becomes easier to find.....   but you might listen for ten to fifteen minutes in between the reversals for it usually happens when someone is very emotional about the subject they were talking about and occasionally they will actually stutter in the forward speech getting it all out.  It can actually be amusing sometimes.

 

However you also need to understand that there are a few phrases that when spoken really do sound like something else when played backwards.   For instance when you or I or Obama says "yes we can"   when you reverse it, it sounds like "Thank you Satan".

So in reverse speech research, you have to repeat what the person is saying to make sure there really is a reversal harmonic overlayed by our subconscious and not that it just sounds that way naturally
