So I have always really struggled with why myself and so many other Christians seem to be so fragile, unstable, and so weak, when we have the God who created the universe dwelling within us.

It is also very discouraging to see how divided Christians are and that if we all have the same God dwelling within us and guiding us, why are we so divided?

Aren't we all supposed to have one mind and heart, the mind and heart of Jesus Christ?

I'm also very discouraged with how often i fall into depression and have no energy , when God is infinite energy, and he lives within me .

Anyhow, it doesn't look like the answer to these questions will be fully realized anytime soon but this scripture verse really helps me with that:

 2 cor 12

Therefore, in order to keep me from becoming conceited, I was given a thorn in my flesh, a messenger of Satan,to torment me. Three times I pleaded with the Lord to take it away from me.But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”

Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.10 That is why, for Christ’s sake, I take pleasure in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong."

So what are your thoughts on that statement, when I am weak then I am strong?

When he says he finds pleasure in weakness, infirmity, insults, and difficulties, I wonder if those things really gave him pleasure?

Is anybody else here delighted to experience suffering?

Fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
Hebr.12:2

If we keep our eyes fixed on Jesus, we are  encouraged because we know He is faithful and will be with us until the end.

We can claim all the promises we have in Him.

All the things we have to suffer now (is not pleasant) but it is  nothing close to what Jesus suffered when He died on the cross for you and me.

Jesus talked about persecutions we may face as Christians, the Christian life is not alway an easy road but it is the road which leads to heaven where we will be with Jesus forever!

Ps.43:5

Why am I discouraged? Why is my heart so sad? I will put my hope in God! I will praise him again--my Savior and my God

My mortal flesh has been quickened directly proportional to the measure of the Spirit I am given at any time.

As such my spiritual experiences have varied.  One such experience is self described as pure pleasure as if I had been transfigured on the mount with Christ.

Today my flesh is tired and weak because I have only slept a total of 5 1/2 hours or so in two days but tge Spirit is carrying me through the night.  Empowering me to continue though my flesh is protesting.  What a glorious feeling to be enabled to continue on though the flesh has quit!

My flesh is animated and powered by the Spirit.  When I am not full of the Spirit I yearn for it like an alcoholic without the booze that powers him.  The Spirits absence feels like death and depression so I call upon the name of the Lord for more.  And as evil men know how to give good gifts unto their children who ask so does my father give the Spirit unto all them who ask of him!

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
