His command to love others as he loved them. Which meant laying of a person's life for his brothers. But the lord gave the Apostles many commandments that was for our sanctification. Not the same as the ten commandments which was the law of the old covenant. Thanks. Just curious, are there any other commandments of the ten that you believe are not applicable for us today (besides the 4th)? You keep saying the 10 commandments are the law of the old covenant so am I to take it that you mean those commandments don't apply to us and we don't have to follow any of them. Thanks, spock We don't have to live under the law. We have died to the law. So we could marry another Jesus Christ. We are under him and obey his word. Jesus fulfilled the law and the law is written in our hearts: God's Righteous Judgment…14Indeed, when Gentiles, who do not have the Law, do by nature what the Law requires, they are a law to themselves, even though they do not have the Law, 15since they show that the work of the Law is written on their hearts, their consciences also bearing witness, and their thoughts either accusing or defending them.16This will come to pass on that day when God will judge men’s secrets through Christ Jesus, as proclaimed by my gospel.… The early Christians came together on the first day of the week : 7On the first dayof the week we came together to break bread. Since Paul was ready to leave the next day, he talked to themand kept on speaking until midnight. Acts 20:7 Really Sabbath should be in our hearts every day..( resting in Gods grace) For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith--and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God--Ephesians 2:
