Is it not time? And what are the signs that signify he's almost here?

I feel that I'm going to witness this in my lifetime.

Read what Matthew had to say about this:

24 Jesus left the temple and was walking away when his disciples came up to him to call his attention to its buildings. ² “Do you see all these things?” he asked. “Truly I tell you, not one stone here will be left on another; every one will be thrown down.”

³ As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately. “Tell us,” they said, “when will this happen, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?”

The Day and Hour Unknown

⁴⁵ “Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom the master has put in charge of the servants in his household to give them their food at the proper time? ⁴⁶ It will be good for that servant whose master finds him doing so when he returns. ⁴⁷ Truly I tell you, he will put him in charge of all his possessions. ⁴⁸ But suppose that servant is wicked and says to himself, ‘My master is staying away a long time,’ ⁴⁹ and he then begins to beat his fellow servants and to eat and drink with drunkards. ⁵⁰ The master of that servant will come on a day when he does not expect him and at an hour he is not aware of. ⁵¹ He will cut him to pieces and assign him a place with the hypocrites, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Matthew 24:14 & this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, AND THEN THE END WILL COME.

Revelation 14:6 eco's the same message  Verse 6Then I saw another angel flying in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach to those that dwell on the earth- to every nation, tribe, tongue, & people- saying with a loud voice, Fear God & give glory to Him, FOR THE HOUR OF HIS JUDGMENT HAS COME; & worship him who made heaven & earth, the sea & springs of water.

Both Matthew & Revelation talk of the everlasting gospel having to be preached to the whole world prior to the coming of Christ does it not. Forget all speculation about Israel, the gospel is Christ centered.  We Christians have a job to do & are very lazy in doing it, we tend to leave it for others to do.  We can hasten the coming of Christ but we cannot delay it,  Matthew 24: 22 & unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect's sake those days will be shortened.  Here it talks of how it must be shortened ultimately.

In my opinion the sighs are there ever so close, & with communications these days along with the out poring of the Holy Spirit in the latter rain, things can happen fast & the gospel can be preached to the world, as God wants all His children to be saved. I think Matthew & Revelation are very clear & need no interpretation that can be miss translated.   Maybe (:     Things in the middle east with the muslims is moving much faster than people realize trough telecommunications & internet, sermon down loads are in the millions I've heard.

I'm torn on this one.

On the one hand, as others have posted already, the signs have in large part been fulfilled. There really is nothing left (at least for the pre-millennial believer) to happen before He comes to take His bride away.

On the other hand, the disciples felt the same way. Those who speak on it in scripture give evidence that they believed it would happen in their lifetimes.

I fear that too many of us look at the signs and say "We are living in the end times", and as a result become largely inactive believing that it's too late to do much good. If we take that approach, we are failing in our ministry.

My view is that we look for His coming (we're told we should, after all) but don't allow that looking to keep us from laboring as though it could be a while.

Hi! I'm new here too. Wouldn't it be a glorious day to see our lord return as promised?
He was perfect. I don't think we can know what that is like being we are not born to be as he was. But we can seek out his wisdom and connect more to his holy spirit if we tune in to that. And tune out the noisy violent world that seems to want to get more and more of our attention.
