Sure, sure...still not cashless though. The interest on credit card balances is not paid in seashells or chickens and the balance is paid in cash at some point. The merchant receives a check or a balance transfer from the purchase you made, which is converted into a value denoted by cash. I think what is being suggested is digital value transfers, not eliminating cash. That would be nearly impossible. Why? Because there has to be a global system to evaluate the worth of an object, good or service, relative to a recognized standard, and that's cash.

What scripture reveals to us in the mark of the beast and the buying and selling is economic control. This control is in the fact and reality of buying and selling, not in the abstract of a valuation system.

Then if I'm wrong and it really is going cashless, what is the creditor going to accept as fair exchange for the couch you just purchased on their credit card? And what did they give the manufacturer when the transaction was complete?  Do you see how "cashless" is impossible in just one exchange much less so in the myriad of value transfers from the trees and steers to the finished couch?

Most transactions are already done electronically.  Very few still use cash.  Nothing will change, except for the access to your own money.  If you do not take the mark, you will not have access to your cash, be it depositing ot withdrawals.

Dear brothers and sisters,

Grace and mercy and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

The truth is that no good can ever come from evil (at least not something that really stands and satisfies). Every effort of this world for peace brings only more conflict. And it could not be different: how can there be peace when all are devastated by sin? Analyze and you will see that the greatest torment in your life comes from within, from your heart.

Every time we want to receive something that is in the power of the neighbor, but he refuses to give us, the torment takes care of us. The fact that we find ourselves deserving of something makes our neighbor a villain for not wanting to give us, and everything we need to put this revolt out is a reason to accuse him.

It is no wonder that the mark of the beast was tied to commerce (buying and selling - Rev. 13:16,17) and Jesus refers to money as a wealth of injustice (Luke 16:9). Since in the Babylonian System (the system governing this world) there is no satisfaction in sharing, how to determine the fair price to be charged (the Eternal abhors the exaggerated gain - Eze 18.8)? After all, those who sell will never think they have been paid well enough; and anyone who pays will always find that someone else is getting too much (since the seller will use the money paid in something that no direct benefit will bring). The truth is that the buyer thinks that the money is his and must be used eternally in his favor (see, for example, Gen 31.43).

In other words, by law, every service is a form of theft. After all, what is stealing? Is it not taking something that belongs to the other without your consent? Even if there is mental consent, if there is no sentimental approval, this still is theft. Each one is being violated (by his womb - Proverbs 20:27; Ecl. 6:7) to do something for the neighbor without caring for him, and this, for his turn, is being violated (for fear of punishment, whether of men or divine) to pay for the service.

Not really. I know the idea of "cashless society" is not what scripture teaches in Rev 17. It's control of an individuals decision through economic means that is the lesson here.

Right. The point I have been making, or trying to make. It's about economic control, not the elimination of cash. There are a great deal of people all over the world still using cash but that's not the point. It doesn't matter if it's a digital or physical transaction, or if the medium of exchange is seashells or goats, the point is none of these will allow commerce unless a person carries the mark of the beast.

Bartering will be the only way to have a transaction during these times for those who refuse the mark.

As for gaining economic control, if there is only one way to have access to your money, is that not the easiest way to gain control if you have control over that one way?  If there are many ways to access your money, does that not make it much harder to control?  If you want control of anything, the best way is to have only one aspect to control, not many.

No, there will be no bartering. Unless you have the mark buying and selling will be prohibited. Bartering is the same as purchasing, the only difference is in the medium of exchange. Even if that was not the case, do u suppose that someone with the mark will accept a goat or a laptop for food, shelter or clothing? They will still be using cash as the value standard.

the economic control is assured by abolishing the ability to buy or sell. It's not access to money that's prohibited, its the ability to use the money. Unless you have the mark the money is useless.

You, a Christian, come to me (another Christian) and ask for something I have that you lack.  You have something I lack.  We barter ... yes, it will be done, but not in the marketplaces.

You seem to think that everyone that is not Christian will take the mark.  That may be true at the end, but not at the beginning.  To ensure nobody can buy or sell, they need to remove our access to our money.  In order to do this, they have to have a cashless society/commerce.  If you have money on you, you will be able to use it with those that do not want to follow their global ideas.  This is defeating their purpose and they will do what they can to close all loop holes.
