I wanted to ask you guys, your opinion on this.

Why is the name of God, or the word 'God' shushed in the public eye and not embraced as a whole?

Because we live in a fallen world and the devil doesn't have to get us to not believe in God, he only has to stop us from having a healthy relationship with him. If it is acceptable to mock or disregard God as ridiculous, if people are apathetic towards God (church-going or not), if people believe God is there but doesn't care, if they believe in multiple gods or believe that all religions worship the same God, then he has succeeded. Having a relationship with God is undervalued, undermined and underestimated by many and because of this we don't walk in the ways God has intended.

Sadly, I hear the word "god" used all the time, normally followed by some other words I cannot post on here.

The U.S. is doing it's level best to ERADICATE God from our society. Everybody KNOWS that He's there, and also that HE WANTS something, that most aren't willing to consider.  Hearing "God", or Jesus" is an uncomfortable reminder.

this is much more serious than accepted or realised for it is the name above all names and the name by which we are saved - it is in fact totally really ignored alas and sadly by most Christians and the devil is having it his way that "I will not allow His name to be mentioned" - let us start by asking did the angel really say His name shall be called Jesus and is this the name He was known by - more later - btw did God tell us His name - wincam

it seems the Christian God has a christian name and an ancestral name which He has ordered us to keep holy and He has told us that there is no other God but HE  = Yoshua Yahweh is His name = Lk.1:31 and Ex.3:13-15 -  there just is no God called Allah and He truly does not have a son for He just does not exist nor is there any other God - wincam

I believe it's because God is most commonly associated with Christianity. Christ told us we'd be hated for His name sake. We see the persecution all around us. The world choosing false religions, and their false gods over the 1 true and living God. Think about it. . atheists only target Christians. . .no other belief system do they bother. . . why? Because they hate God. . . the only God. The one God, that they know deep down inside, they will stand before in the judgement. Why not other religions, and their gods? Because they know those gods aren't real.

      You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

      Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

      I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

      For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

      2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices. 

      So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

      Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end. 
      Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house. 

      Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

      Shalom everyone,

      As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

      Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
      Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

      So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
