Their were many, many things he said that I thought was not inappropriate and offensive for a Presidential candidate. I lost respect for him a long time ago.

He certainly was very frank and probably rather rude ,but in order to have the kind of energy which is needed to counter endless lies, and the very dangerous times we are living in,  you are going to get a bit of a rough tough kind - who is now learning  how to become a statesman .

I was virulently opposed to him for the longest time.

Now I understand why he has to be tough; to withstand the propaganda being thrown at him. Just look on the front of every newspaper today and you'll see dishonest people lying about him to sway the views of people who don't know any better.

A less-than-tough individual would have wilted long long ago.

Yes indeed . He truly loved and honoured his parents, who both lived long and fruitful lives . Always a  good sign .

It's amazing to see a European totally 'get it' when so many Americans are clueless as to what is going on, Thallasa.  Good analysis, for sure.

You have to break some eggs to make an omelet, MM.

What is more of a mess? A few people getting detained in a room or hundreds of protestors standing around blocking everything.
