Well the Australian government was fully aware that Obama's objectives were diametrically opposed to Trump's, and that Trump was to be the next President.  At the very least, the Prime Minister should have told Obama he would make no decisions without discussing them first with Trump.  Since he went along with Obama, it is clear that the Australian government was at fault. And Trump should have simply sent him a note indicating that any an all actions by Obama after the election were unacceptable, therefore he would disregard this deal.

Countries can't put negotiations on hold until the next gvt is sworn in - this would've been months in the making and Prime minister Turnbull had to deal with the Prez who was in office at that time.

All Trump needs to do is send them back to their countries of origin.  Muslims are not immigrating to any western nation for any reason that is beneficial to the host nation(s).   One only needs to look at the thousands of women that have been raped in Europe to see that.

I think I would open up a couple of the larger FEMA camps I've been hearing about for years and put them in those camps until they could be vetted properly......    Like we did on Ellis Island years ago.

Just make it a stopping off place
