You need to donate where your heart directs you.

Aside from that, this statement has me concerned.

This month I received money from the VA claim I had placed last Sept.

Why would you place a claim with the VA, if you didn't need the money for yourself? Essentially, you taken from the tax payers, and gave it away.

VA benefits are for veterans who need he money.

I guess I don't understand how you could put in for a benefit, that you yourself did not need.

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

It would seem to me that if the Lord directs a person's heart to give... whether they can afford it or not is not really the issue. I think we are to help where help is needed as the Lord guides. And of course there are unethical instances where the system is abused, but if it is a sacrificial gift I do not think that is unethical.

1 Kings 17:8-16

8 Then the word of the LORD came to him, saying,

9 "Arise, go to Zarephath, which belongs to Sidon, and stay there; behold, I have commanded a widow there to provide for you."

10 So he arose and went to Zarephath, and when he came to the gate of the city , behold, a widow was there gathering sticks; and he called to her and said, "Please get me a little water in a jar, that I may drink."

11 As she was going to get it, he called to her and said, "Please bring me a piece of bread in your hand."

12 But she said, "As the LORD your God lives , I have no bread, only a handful of flour in the bowl and a little oil in the jar; and behold, I am gathering a few sticks that I may go in and prepare for me and my son, that we may eat it and die."

13 Then Elijah said to her, "Do not fear ; go, do as you have said, but make me a little bread cake from it first and bring it out to me, and afterward you may make one for yourself and for your son.

14 "For thus says the LORD God of Israel, 'The bowl of flour shall not be exhausted, nor shall the jar of oil be empty, until the day that the LORD sends rain on the face of the earth.' "

15 So she went and did according to the word of Elijah, and she and he and her household ate for many days.

16 The bowl of flour was not exhausted nor did the jar of oil become empty, according to the word of the LORD which He spoke through Elijah.

The Fathers will be done !! If we do what God leads us to do, then it is correct!!! Sometimes the gestures that God puts upon our hearts are the actions that change lives.

George went there to "evangelize" the Jews. He has not otherwise said anything to me, but I do not believe he is participating in the allayah of the Jews from distant lands.

so you are now admitting that there are people in Israel who could help a jew that makes aliyah come to faith? Then why are you saying that they have a better chance if they don't go?? God can find them anywhere, can't He?

You seem to have a blind spot of hypersensitivity when it comes to jews for some reason, DE.

As a matter of fact, I do not, but I am hypersensitive to those who INSIST that helping the Jews in their "allayah" to Israel is something God has commanded. Please show me that anywhere in the scriptures.

Did you read the verses I first posted?

I certainly do not want to contribute to the antichrist spirit in Israel by giving it more Jews to feed on.

refusing to help "the least of these, my brothers" is as anti-christ as one can be.

Wings of Eagles is one group I would counsel against because Yeckial Echstein uses a portion of the money to fund anti-missionaries in Israel. But the fundamental principle of helping the jews return home is as biblical as Cyrus giving the order to Nehemiah.

You are expecting God to write it on your wall perhaps?

DE you are wrong... it was a Fulfillment of:

Isaiah 66:7-8

"Before she goes into labor, she gives birth; before the pains come upon her, she delivers a son. Who has ever heard of such a thing? Who has ever seen such things? Can a country be born in a day or a nation be brought forth in a moment? Yet no sooner is Zion in labor than she gives birth to her children."

In Isaiah 66:7-8, the prophet foreshadowed the re-birth of Israel in 1948. Isaiah describes a woman giving birth before going into labor, and he speaks of a country being born in one day. This accurately describes what happened on May 14, 1948 - when the Jews declared independence for Israel as a united and sovereign nation for the first time in 2900 years.

Sorry Trinity, those passages are referring to the Messiah initially and then goes on to speak of the literal reign of Christ in millineal period. In my conversations with Jewish Rabbi's, they believe that all the references such as this apply to Israel, especially the ones pertaining to "The Son". But we have the NT to reveal the truth to us.

Blessings,

Dad Ernie

As always, DE you drop the ball where Israel is concerned.

There is not ONE New Testament passage that applies Isaiah 66:7-8 to the birth of Jesus. This is just another of your classic misapplications of Scripture where Israel is concerned. Every major prophecy teacher rightly applies this to the rebirth of the nation of Israel.

ISRAEL REGATHERED BY GOD

Excerpt from an article by

David B Loughran

Stewarton Bible School, Stewarton, Scotland

Even whilst the Most High was predicting the Diaspora ( the scattering of Israel ) He was also forecasting Israel's re-gathering. Over and over again He said that He would re-gather His scattered people; and bring them back from the four corners of the earth to the land He promised to their ancestors Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. That is why it is called The Promised Land! The re-gathering of Israel is taking place at this very moment. I quote a few texts which tell of this astonishing development.

Deuteronomy 30: 1: "And it shall come to pass when all these things are come upon thee, the blessing and the curse, which I have set before thee, and thou shalt call them to mind among all the nations, whither the Lord thy God hath driven thee.

2: And shalt return unto the Lord thy God, and shalt obey His voice according to all that I command thee this day, thou and thy children, with all thine heart, and with all thy soul;

3: That then the Lord thy God will turn thy captivity, and have compassion upon thee, and will return and GATHER thee from all the nations, whither the Lord thy God hath scattered thee.

4: If any of thine be driven out unto the outmost parts of heaven, from thence will the LORD thy God gather thee, and from thence will he fetch thee:

5: And the LORD thy God will bring thee into the land which thy fathers possessed, and thou shalt possess it; and he will do thee good, and multiply thee above thy fathers."

Isaiah 11: 11: "And it shall come to pass in that day, that the Lord shall set his hand again the second time to recover the remnant of his people, which shall be left, from Assyria, and from Egypt, and from Pathros, and from Cush, and from Elam, and from Shinar, and from Hamath, and from the islands of the sea.

12: And he shall set up an ensign for the nations, and shall assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather together the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth."

Isaiah 43: 3: For I am the LORD thy God, the Holy One of Israel, thy Saviour: I gave Egypt for thy ransom, Ethiopia and Seba for thee.

4: Since thou wast precious in my sight, thou hast been honourable, and I have loved thee: therefore will I give men for thee, and people for thy life.

5: Fear not: for I am with thee: I will bring thy seed from the east, and GATHER thee from the west;

6: I will say to the north, Give up; and to the south, Keep not back: bring my sons from far, and my daughters from the ends of the earth.

Ezekiel 11: 17: "... Thus saith the Lord God; I will even GATHER you from the people, and assemble you out of the countries where ye have been scattered, and I will give you the land of Israel."

More prophecies concerning the re-gathering of Israel are found at Jeremiah 29:14, 31:10, 32:34-41, Nehemiah 1:9, Psalm 107:3, Ezekiel 34:12-31, 37:21. Is a re-gathering of Israel taking place? To be sure it is. Consider the statistics of Jews returning to Israel since the nation was declared a State on 14th May 1948.

1948 ... 657,000

1950 ... 1,203,000

1958 ... 1,810,000

1962 ... 2,069,000

Currently tens of thousands of Jews, especially from the former Soviet Union, are returning to the land of their fathers.

Isaiah 43: 5: "Fear not for I am with thee: I will bring thy seed from the east, and GATHER them from the west.

6: I will say to the north, Give up, and to the south, Keep not back: bring my sons from far and my daughters from the ends of the earth."

Ezekiel 39: 27: "When I have brought them again from the people, and gathered them out of their enemies' lands, and am sanctified in them in the sight of many nations;

28: Then shall they know that I am the LORD their God, which cause them to be led into captivity among the heathen: but I have gathered them unto their own land, and have left none of them any more there.

29: Neither will I hide my face any more from them: for I have poured out my spirit upon the house of Israel, saith the Lord GOD."

Yes, Bible prophecies concerning Israel's return to the Promised Land are being fulfilled before our very eyes. The descendants of Jacob are returning in their millions to the land God promised Abraham so long ago.

The Christian church, in the main, stands bewildered at events it doesn't understand, simply because it believes that Israel was abandoned by God and replaced by the Christian Church. Oh what a tragic misconception that is!

Brothers & Sisters~

This is how I see things:

G-D"S Chosen people are the people of Israel, all 12 tribes.

If I remember correctly Jesus Christ was born out of a Jewish Mother. Making HIM a Jew, one of G-d's Chosen people, plus G-D'S Son.

Time passes and This boy grows into a Jewish Man. This Jewish man takes the sins of the world, (you and I), upon His Shoulders, which are spread open upon a cross.

A member of G-D'S Chosen People, suffers and dies for all of us.

Jesus Christ a Jew, and Son of G-D, is buried. Three days later, He is ressurected from the Grave.

HE becomes Our Lord and Savior, and it's by Him and thru Him that we have our Salvation.

Now if you would please just focus your eyes on this reply. You will see why I did what I did.

I am a natural giver. I help my neighbours who are living on lesser then I. Remeber I used to dumpster dive, when my food supply was very low. However, the Flowers were beautiful and they smelled great!

As far as giving VA money, I earned it. I went thru extreme PAIN before the surgery and after the surgery. I live with PAIN day in and day out, because of other problems I have. Yes, some of my problems stem from my service connected knee problem. Even at this time I am in severe pain and the medicine is not taking the top of at all.

My two cents on taxpayers money. If more people in the US would donate to the hungry people in every state, our lives would be Happier and exceedly more JOYFUL. :emot-hug:

What I did was for The Glory of G-D! :emot-hug:

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
