It was a long walk from the church that day my Jeep broke down. So yeah, I got a ride home with a Christian brother from my church. I don't feel any shame at all. I wonder what Jesus would do? I mean are you really going to leave some poor women alone with no way to get home just because you are afraid someone might think you are sinning by giving her a ride? Just thank about it. What is being discussed is situations where a married man and a married woman are alone together and while their meeting, say, at a restaurant is completely innocuous and innocent, it could end up fueling a rumor mill, and tarnishing their testimony, as a result.
