You have no idea how many times I have laid hands on and prayed for our cars.  God was faithful to send me help if if it didn't start.

I lost count of the times I was having trouble fixing a printer at work, laid hands on it and came back from lunch to find people had moved my tools out of the way and we're using the printer. Problems never returned.

That is normal for a totally dead battery.

Real problem is why it went down in the first place.      when did you drive it last?

Took it out Wednesday. No issue as I know of. Didn't go anywhere on Thursday. Then went to go somewhere on Friday and it was dead. No lights, no sound just dead. I check to see if anything got left on like my lights. No nothing I see that has been left on. It is not cold out so that shouldn't be the issue. I have a love hate relationship with my Jeep.

Things can develop power drains that are normally on all the time that you don't turn off.  We had a clock go nuts in our camper and would run the battery down in three or four days... but the clock still worked LoL.   my experiences have been a short internally in the battery is usually the cause.  Especially if you got it at Walmart. There are many things that can cause it.  The diodes in the alternator can do the same.  The shop has tools to quickly isolate most problems.  It is good to have someone to trust.

We ALL stress over stuff like that, LK, and may the Lord bless your husband's uncle for giving you a price break.  I will pray you get your Jeep fixed ASAP.

Thank you. Since moving into town I don't freak out as much as before when I was living 20 miles from the grocery store. At less I can walk it here if I really need something. :D

Where did you buy the battery ? If it is just a year old you may be able to return it being it would likely still be under warranty. Most batteries last at least three years. One going dead in a year could be the battery itself.

The battery is one year old, but how old is the Jeep?

Could be as simple as the battery cable terminals at the starter or the frame ends being corroded.

Everyone checks the cables at the battery, but few check the other ends.

And though the battery is not fused, much else in newer vehicles are. So it could be a fuse perhaps  to the Electronics box, the brain. If so find out why  it tripped if possible don't just replace it and have  the brain go bad.

Did you have any warnings, engine "coughing" sputtering" etc?

Mostly  praise God for an uncle eh?

And it could be angels spitting on the spark plug wires to keep you safely away from the accident you would have had otherwise.

If so, we praise God for the delays in getting to your destinations.
