I think you are full of yourself.

You are self-righteous and condescending.

I have not misquoted any scriptures.

The Holy Spirit is the rest and the refreshing.

As far as the Sabbath goes that is of Judaism and not of Christianity - a new covenant.

Even the apostles and the first church broke away from the traditional Saturday to separate themselves from the problem of Jewish

influences that attempted to bring Christians back under the regulations of the Law.

38 minutes ago, Justin Adams said:

Ignore the Sabbath if you wish and bow to rome.

What is this rubbish?

Acts 20:7  And upon the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul preached unto them,

ready to depart on the morrow; and continued his speech until midnight.

And this is before any Roman Catholic church was up and running.

We are set free from the Law and now enjoy the Law of liberty.

We are not obligated to honour one day above another.

It is the whole reason why the Temple and the sacrifices were done away with.

Thanks for the unkind remarks. I guess your church joined in the 1986 Assisi disgrace? Right?

Covenants are layers and layers. Yahweh's words are not to be done away with. He is not so doddery that His memory of what He already said has slipped. Covenants are layers. Scriptures say that God's words never pass - even when heaven and earth are gone - Yahweh's words still exist.

And after the Feast of Unleavened Bread, we sailed from Philippi, and five days later we rejoined them in Troas, where we stayed seven days. 7 On the first day of the week we came together to break bread. Since Paul was ready to leave the next day, he talked to them and kept on speaking until midnight. 8 Now there were many lamps in the upper room where we were gathered.…
They met due to a schedule is all.

In Acts, they often met every day to eat together. Has no bearing on their Sabbath teachings of the Torah.
(they did not have the NT)

The Sabbath is not of Judaism.. it was in existence way before there were any Jews.

Do a little study of the Sabbath for yourself and not what you hear from your commentary, your preacher or your denomination. You will be standing before Yeshua, not your pastor in your stead.

The romans took up the devil's baton and solidified the anti-Sabbath and anti-Semitic stance of many in that era. Just like the modern christian church in most cases.

The early church had many many detractors and much heresy. That is why the epistles were written. Constantine made it illegal to observe the Sabbath often on pain of death.

Your nonsense about bringing Christian 'under the law' shows how lawless you really are. Do you not obey the Law of the Lord anymore? Do you think your freedom in Christ makes you impervious to obedience?

If you are saying that Christians do not have to obey the Lord and His Commandments then you are a wolf.

No,  sorry,  this isn't truth.   Keep seeking, though it is possiblly getting more difficult every day because of the great falling away and so great a deception since the 3rd and 4th centuries continued thru today.   Just in the Bible,  Simply going by what is written,  YHWH'S Appointed Sabbath Never Changed, and won't change.   Back to Scripture,  instead of man's false traditions which have deceived billions/ multitudes.  Unless YHWH draws a person,  they do not come to Him, and unless YHWH removes the veil (and gives understanding of Scripture),  it is not accomplished.   So seek from YHWH, understanding of His Word.   Read with a single eye towards Him,  whole-heartedly seeking His Kingdom, His Way, His Salvation.

Are you sure that's why the Epistles were written ?  (verified by Scripture somewhere?)

You already realize, it seems,  there is much much more heresy TODAY,

and on forums, and in churches,  than there was in the first and second centuries,  more TODAY

than ever before, rigtht?    All of Scripture testifies of this,  and doesn't seem to help those who are deceived.....

The disciples were writing for themselves and their churches. Sure, Yahweh had His reasons of course. There is far more in number of heresies today. My point is that the apologetic writers of the heresies use scriptures to support their 'freedoms' pretending spirituality when they use these scriptures again so-called legalists

The Gnostics and Judaizers and all the other many sects were were rampant along with early fathers whose writings show they still had many pagan ideas and root belief systems.

The apostles were trying to get the weird practices out of their followers and those that "crept in unawares". The society was heavily riddled with ceremony and sacrificial rites. These were trying to pollute the early church with their false spirituality based on false actions.

Today, modern 'christians' take these words to apply to 'legalism' as they see it, not understanding that the early church was far more disrupted with pantheistic practices. They apply these verses out of the belief they were written to address current day 'legalism'. This is just not the case. It is missed that the 'legalism' of today is purely a misconstrued notion, since nobody is espousing circumcision or the added articles of the Pharisees that Yeshua spoke so harshly about. Even some Jewish sects were trying to hold on to circumcision.

That does not really become an issue for us today. So when we apply our thoughts out of context of what the epistles were about and to whom they were addressed, we get a lopsided idea.

So today, they apply the entreaties of Saul against non Christian acts and beliefs, to those of us that would see the Commandments and the Sabbath as Holy and set apart. It is a very clever gesture of disingenuous application.

It is not legalism to observe the law and the Commandments.

Just for future reading - well, maybe today -  YHWH Breathed All Scripture through men He Called and Chose,

for His Purpose, Perfectly, Completely, Honestly without any spot or wrinkle or any such thing.

It is written YHWH Guards His Word and Honors His Word (Scripture) even MORE THAN His Own Name !

And His Word always succeeds in His Purpose for it, always.

Oh,  and it is very good for us, today, as for all disciples ever since it was written, everywhere they are as they/we all seek Him.

The Sovereign Creator of All LIFE cared enough and perfectly for us,  to deliver HIS WORD, HIS SELF, unto us,

even as Willingly and by PLAN, and by HIS PURPOSE,  HIS SON, PERFECT AND SPOTLESS,  was sacrificed for us,

that we (all the elect, all the saints, all born again and set apart by YHWH)  could be redeemed from our sin and

restored to YHWH Perfectly,  dwelling in union with the Father and with the Son, as we live and breath and walk in Him Today,  as His Spirit and His Word Says over and over and over to all who He Calls, to all who HEAR HIS VOICE.

Too true.

Often the unschooled will use His words if they have an agenda. It is plain in the early Hebrew scripts that Mesopotamian culture had seeped into their understanding of the world. That is what the flat-earthers rely on to say God said it was flat.

Wrong! Men wrote from their own current perspectives. Yahweh uses us all in spite of ourselves and not because.

He apparently did not see fit to give the ancient writers a 21st century training in physics and biology. He was interested in what His word conveyed. That is a good thing to remember.

His word will accomplish that for which it was sent out to perform.

Yahweh's purposes will be carried out as He sees fit. We do not have to jump thru hoops to understand the plain word of the Lord. We do not need all the denominations and sects if we just want to see God and not men glorified.

I cannot believe this gobbledegook that is being posted that keeping The Sabbath is a salvation issue.

Utter nonsense.

If any of you knew anything about the truth of Pentecost and the Spirit-filled church you would have understanding that the

ordinances of the Law have been done away with and we are free from the OT way of doing worship.

In over twenty hears of listening to the gifts of prophecy spoken forth at our Sunday meetings where God speaks

to his people - the saints - I have never ever heard either Jesus or the Father complain about having to interact

with his church on a Sunday.

I don't matter anymore.

God even works on a Wednesday night.

You are bearing false witness Waggles.

No one here is saying Sabbath keeping is a salvation issue. However, if your outrage is due to your disobedience to keep the commandments as Yeshua said we should. Well, I guess you take it up with Him.

Always the detractors of keeping the Commandments bring up the salvation red-herring.

I would not want to teach anyone to disobey the commandments of the Lord God.

The true meaning of Pentecost is often not realized, seen, or even known in religions that listen to other voices,

and, of course, those other voices are not going to allow members to actually become aware that they are not

the Father nor the Son nor anything holy or right. (the pretending, being deceived,  and deceivers, can and do usually or frequently go on for 40 , 50 , even  60 years and more, or less,  as people don't find out nor seek the truth nor be delivered from what is false).  The groups all over the world are being summed up in gobblystuff/nonsense contrary directly to the Will of God and opposed always to the Word of God,  but 'pretending' to be right in the middle of God's will.  As Scripture says,  it is often devastating and embarrassing to learn the truth,  but is necessary to receive life and forgiveness in and through Jesus Blood and the Grace of God.
