"Every president has signed such a waiver ever since Congress passed the Jerusalem Embassy Act in 1995. "Trump faced a June 1 deadline to renew the waiver or let it expire ... Making such a move now would throw a wrench into Trump's efforts to help broker a peace deal between the Israelis and the Palestinians, a major focus of his first foreign trip ... "The final status of Jerusalem has long been a major sticking point in peace talks between the two sides." The Pals will insist that moving the capital back to Jerusalem is a deal-breaker, so they will continue to disenfranchise Israel while going through the motions of talking peace.
