What is the gospel of Jesus? Is it merely the news that he was born in a manger? Is it confined to the miracles and healing Jesus did while walking the earth? Maybe it's simply the news of his death and resurrection? Well, all of these things are a part of the gospel, but the good news that Jesus preached is much more "... Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God" (Mark 1:14). This is the gospel of Jesus.

Nowadays many fail to preach the gospel of God's kingdom. Why? The bible teaches that Satan has deceived the whole world (Revelation 12:9). Jesus said that many would come preaching in his name and yet deceive many (Matthews 24:5). This is why pastors everywhere claim to be fulfilling the great commission (spreading the gospel all over the world), but never mention the coming of God's kingdom. Therefore, many people are deceived and have not heard the gospel of Jesus. Instead they hear and believe another gospel, which teaches that they are going to heaven. This is not the gospel of Jesus!

All over the bible, from the promise to Abraham in Genesis to the second coming of Jesus in Revelation, the Lord reveals that his kingdom will be on earth. This message is supposed to be good news to us, especially considering the condition of the world. We should be glad to know that God is going to straighten out the trouble and confusion that's presently in the world. Jesus even told us to pray for the fulfillment of his gospel, "Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven" (Matthew 6:10). Jesus also warned us to repent (turn from our sins) and be prepared for the coming of his kingdom. If we truly believe the gospel, then we will obey God's commandments. "...The unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God" (I Corinthians 6:9). However, Jesus said the meek are blessed because they will inherit the earth (Matthew 5:5). Now why in the world would the meek want to inherit the earth if God is supposed to take us to heaven? Maybe the meek are not so blessed after all?! Yes, the meek are blessed because they will be on the earth, in God's kingdom. "...but the wicked shall not inhabit the earth" (Proverbs 10:30). Therefore, repent and believe the gospel (Mark 1:15). Jesus never promised to take us to heaven. As a matter of fact Jesus said that no man went up to heaven except he (speaking of himself) that came down from heaven (St. John 3:13). Jesus promised us we would dwell with him on the earth. That's right, Jesus is returning to establish the kingdom of God. If we have faith and obey him, we will rule with him on the earth, "And hast made us unto our God kings and priests; and we shall reign on the earth" (Revelation 5:10).

Some believe that Jesus will never actually come back to the earth, but will rule over the earth from heaven. However, the gospel teaches that Jesus will sit on a throne on the earth in Jerusalem. Even before he was born the angel Gabriel informed his mother, Mary of the fact, "...and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David and he shall reign over the house of Jacob forever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end" (Luke 1:32-33). King Israel,

David never ruled in heaven, but he sat on a throne on the earth in Jerusalem. According to the gospel, Jesus will do the same and he told us this very plainly saying, "Jerusalem...is the city of the great king" (Matthew 5:35). Now, if we intend to dwell with Jesus then where will we be? Sitting with him on his throne in Jerusalem. " To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne" (Revelation 3:21).

Eventually yes, but one must reconcile the following....

Hebrews 11:10
‭For he (Abraham) looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker ‭is‭ God.‭

Hebrews 12:22
‭But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels,‭ 23 To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect,.

 Hebrews 13:14
‭For here have we no continuing city, but we seek one to come.‭

John 14:2,3.
‭In my Father’s house are many mansions: if ‭it were‭ not ‭so‭, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.‭
‭And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, ‭there‭ ye may be also.‭

Notice that Jesus didn't promise us we would sit with him on his Father's throne in heaven, but he promised us we would sit with him on his own throne on the earth. Of course we must overcome by keeping his commandments until the end. Jesus is called a king throughout the bible, but people don't seem to take this fact literally.

Jesus said that he was born into the world to be a king (St. John 18:37). After he was born and just a baby, the wise men came looking for him "...that is born king of the Jews" (Matthew 2:1). When he died for our sins, this was even the title written on his cross, "...JESUS OF NAZARETH THE KING OF THE JEWS." Nevertheless, all kings must have a place to rule from, just as the emperors ruled from Rome and president’s rule from Washington, D. C. Well, Jesus is the great king and Jerusalem is the city that he will rule from. After returning to the earth, Jesus will take over and rule all other ruler ships (Daniel 7:13-14 and Revelation 11:15). That's why he is not only called a king, but called KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS. "And the kingdom and dominion and the greatness of the kingdom under the whole heaven, shall be given to the people of the saints of the most high, whose kingdom is an everlasting kingdom. AND ALL DOMINIONS SHALL SERVE AND OBEY HIM" (Daniel 7:27).

I guess the meek will inherit the earth, since the kingdom is under the whole heaven and not up in heaven. As we have seen the kingdom of Jesus will last forever. After ruling for a thousand years with his saints, Jesus will then have judgment day (Revelation 20:1-15). All who are found worthy will enter into his kingdom and the rest will enter the lake of fire. At this time new Jerusalem, the place that Jesus went to prepare, will come down from God out of heaven. Jesus never promised to take us up to this place, "and if I go and prepare a place for you I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also" (St. John 14:3). Therefore, after Jesus returns and rules for a thousand years, the place that he went to prepare will be seen "...coming down from God out of heaven, preparedas a bride adorned for her husband" (Revelation 21:2). We won't ever get to heaven, but heaven will get to us. Yes, the kingdom of heaven will be right here on the earth, because God wants his will to be done in earth as it is in heaven.

With all of this evidence of God's kingdom being on the earth, why do so many people believe they are going to heaven? Many people have misunderstood some of Paul's writings (II Peter 3:15-16) and they simply disregard the other scriptures. For instance, what people call "the rapture" is merely the second coming of Jesus. This will not take place before the great tribulation, as commonly taught, but after it. At the sound of the seventh trumpet the dead and Israel, living saints will meet the Lord in the air (I Thessalonians 4:13-17) as he returns to establish his kingdom. The sounding of the trumpet lets us know that this "so-called rapture" is after the tribulation, "Immediately after the tribulation...they shall see the son of man coming in the clouds of heaven...and he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet..." (Matthew 24:29:31). Many people teach that the dead saints, such as Elijah, are already in heaven. If this were true then they wouldn't have to be raised from the dead to meet Jesus in the air when he returns. The entire bible changes if the saints were in heaven, even eliminating the first resurrection (Revelation 20:4-6). Why raise the dead if they are already in heaven? The bible speaks of three heavens (I Corinthians 12:1-2), so which one would the saints go to anyway? Jesus was talking about the third heaven when he said, "...no man hath ascended up to heaven but he that came down from heaven..." This means Elijah or no other man (except Jesus) has went up to the heaven where the Father's throne is at. Many of us, including Elijah, have been transported through the second heaven, which is the sky. This heaven is called the firmament, where airplanes and birds fly. The first heaven is the earth. This is where Jesus will establish his heavenly kingdom.

Jesus commanded us to preach the gospel of the kingdom and pray for its fulfillment. It is impossible to preach about Jesus without ever preaching about his future kingdom.

Everything, including our hope, is tied into this gospel message. If we choose to believe contrary to the gospel then we are believing a lie. Remember, "the truth shall make you free." There's only one gospel! "But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed" (Galatians 1:8). This is serious business, so let us preach and pray "THY KINGDOM COME!" This is the gospel of Jesus.

I thought the question was 'what is the Gospel?'.

Those particulars of the Kingdom mentioned are not essential to salvation but the Gospel is.

Now I would remind you, brothers, of the gospel I preached to you, which you received, in which you stand, and by which you are being saved, if you hold fast to the word I preached to you—unless you believed in vain. For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures, (1Co 15:1-4)

I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting him who called you in the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel— not that there is another one, but there are some who trouble you and want to distort the gospel of Christ. But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach to you a gospel contrary to the one we preached to you, let him be accursed. As we have said before, so now I say again: If anyone is preaching to you a gospel contrary to the one you received, let him be accursed. (Gal 1:6-9)

...was given as a warning to those who would add any work other than the Work of Christ (see 1Cor 15:1-4 see above) as a requirement to be saved by the Gospel.

For those who don't know or understand, the Gospel is the coming of Jesus. All over the Bible from Old Testament to the New talks about Jesus coming down. With all of this evidence of God's kingdom being on the earth, why do so many people believe they are going to heaven? We won't ever get to heaven, but heaven will get to us. Yes, the kingdom of heaven will be right here on the earth, because God wants his will to be done in earth as it is in heaven. Jesus will take over and rule all other ruler ships (Daniel 7:13-14 and Revelation 11:15).

All who are found worthy will enter into his kingdom and the rest will enter the lake of fire. Lets take a look in Revelation 20: 12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. 13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.
14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
15 and whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire

If one believe to be taken to Heaven where Jesus and the Father is now, then thats another Gospel...another Jesus.

The Farisees and representatives from the Preists sent their representatives to JESUS, they wanted to know how he planned to free their land from the Roman empire, and how he was to keep it free, much like the great King David has done before.

More over they wanted to know, something that it conserns them the most.

What was his plans for them, what role are they going to play in the New Kingdom.

All these inquiries they were of Paramount importance to them, because those people the leaders of the Jews had an Earthy kingdom in their mind, and that's what only wanted, a Kingdom just like it was during the time of David.

When JESUS was in Galilly just as soon as he had done a very miraculous thing, he had multiple a few fish and some bread and he fed a big crowd to the astonisment of every one.

The same crowd , which most of them were Gallilians and not Jews, just about the following day the gather together waiting for Jesus, with the intent to proclaim him as their Promise King, the Son of David.

Then JESUS said to the astonisment of his disciples who shared at that time the same belief as the people, and that is for the CHRIST to rule here on Earth.

JESUS CHRIST knowing the plans of the people he said to his disciples, "let's get away from them".

Looking back at that time, of all the people JESUS CHRIST had met, there is only one person that he understood him.

First John the Baptist, sent his disciples to ask JESUS , when he will be proclaimed as the Messiah, and be Throned as the King of the Jews. John desired to know when, because he show that event as the time for his getting out of prison.

It's interesting what Jesus Christ did that day, and what answer he gave to john.

He did a lot of miracles, and he said to John's disciples,

His mission is to distroyed the works of the Devil.

He said that the Kingdom of God has come.

The Pharisees

They heard about the miraculous things he was doing, that no one of the prophets has ever done before.

So they wanted to know more about him, and a wanted to know about his plans for the Romans.

They believe in the Earthy kingdom, they envision JESUS as the CHRIST, the King of the Jews, the one who will free them from the Romans.

So they show him the Roman coin, to know his feelings about the Romans.

JESUS CHRIST with his answer, advocate continued submission to the Romans.

One Roman Capten who had a sick person in his household , never perceived JESUS as a threat to the Roman empire, or as an Earthy King, because he knew the splendor of the Kings, and their armies.

The Kings that time were commanders of the army, and grate warriors, something JESUS CHRIST did not fit in.

This Roman perceived him as a Spiritual commanter , and he said to Jesus, "comment the healing Spirit to go and heal my servant, no need for you to go all the way to my place.

Perhaps the Roman thought by the time JESUS gets there, perhaps it would be to late for his servant.

Pilate also believe that JESUS CHRIST is not a threat to the Roman empire, and he believed and agree with JESUS that his Kingdom it is a Spiritual Kingdom, not of this world.

JESUS CHRIST has been made the judge of all, and every knee shall bow down to him, forever Infront of the Heavenly Throne.

For ever, Jesus is going to be thete forever, he will never stop been the Judge of all.

How many "gospels" are there for pete's sake?

REVELATION 22:18-19  I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this scroll: If anyone adds anything to them, God will add to that person the plagues described in this scroll. 19 And if anyone takes words away from this scroll of prophecy, God will take away from that person any share in the tree of life and in the Holy City, which are described in this scroll.

The four gospels are the ONLY Gospels.

Interesting, I always wonder why Jesus Christ did not right down everything he said and did, or he never asked someone to record everything he said or did.

But is interesting to note what he said before the Cross, and before his ansention.

"That the Holy Spirit, which the Father will send in his name, will teach them all things, and will bring to their rememberance everything he taught them.

(a), will teach them all things.

(b), will bring to their memory.

A very strange statement indeed.

How would the Holy Spirit knows what Jesus taught them, when the Holy Spirit was not there to hear JESUS CHRIST teach in the first place.

JESUS said, the Holy Spirit will take from me, and bring it to you.

Some how with your post you have raised some issues, which you believe are important as they contained a warning, from JESUS CHRIST, to those who take matters into their own hands.

The warning is from Revelation 22:18,19.

Let's supposed that I am trying to help you in proving your point.

The press would like to know some things about the "scroll", when the scroll was written and what does it contained, where does it begin and where does it end, and how and who will enforse the provisions contained in the scroll.

So doing my research in the book of Revelation, I come across the following.

Revelation chapter 5:1, Then I saw a scroll in the right hand of the one who was sitting on the Throne....

This is very important as to distinguish between the scroll at hand, from other scrolles that maybe found in the Bible.

Then we read through the scroll till we come to the end of what is written in the scroll, at chapter 22: and the warning that follows.

From your post I understand that you have included the four Gospels and you claim that are part of the scroll of chapter 5: of the book of Revelation.

As I read through the scroll of the book in Revelations, I don't see that those four Gospels are part of it, or perhaps their content.

If I have failed to see it, hope that you can being it to my attention.

But if I am found somehow correct, then where does it leaves you, because we still have to consider the warning in chapter 22:, and whether or not, your statement that the four Gospels are part, and can be found in the scroll, of chapter 5: is considered an addition to the scoll, and whether  this "statement maker" is under the judgement of the warning on chapter 22:, of the book of Revelation.

The Gospel of Jesus Christ is this; the only way to know God in peace love and joy,  is through the reconciling death of Jesus Christ Our Risen Lord!

This is the central message of the gospels and the only way to truly understand them.

The Holy Spirit is God as much as the Son and Father.. All knowing, every where present.

I have a Bible, a very plain one, one that is so plain, that only a map of the area of the Roman Empire, including Palestine, and the surrounding counties, it sows the Jordan River leading into the Dead Sea.

Regarding the question I made in the previous post," how would the Holy Spirit knows what Jesus said, in the first place when it was not there to hear what Jesus was saying anyway".

This is a correct statement, a TRUE statement, for more than one reasons.

I keep in my mind that I do not respond to your statement as a means to discredit the source of your comment, but my only intent is to defend a TRUE statement .

This event took place way before the Penticost, when Jesus said the Holy Spirit is still in the Heavens with the FATHER.

The Holy Spirit from God

Has not yet come.

JESUS CHRIST had to go to the Cross first, complete his mission, raised from the dead , and when Jesus Christ was sitted on the Throne, as the Judge of the whole world then the Holy Spirit at the right time had to be released on Earth for many reasons, one of them is to give testimony about Jesus that he is the CHRIST of GOD.

Another reason is that the disciples had to grow up, and have to be left alone without JESUS CHRIST and the Holy Spirit, for a period of time, till the day of Penticost.

They needed to have the experience to be without the guidance and fellowship of Jesus and the Holy Spirit, so they could tell the difference. Of how it was before and the empowerment they experience with the baptism of the Holy Spirit.

The same thing happened with Paul, who had experience to be guided by the knowledge of keeping the scriptures in his heart and mind, meditating on them day and night, loving Moses and the Lord God of the Old Testiment, with his all, and at the same time been an enemy of Jesus Christ and prosecuting his children.

Paul was going around telling the Believers do you know about the Holy Spirit. John baptized you with water, but JESUS will baptized you with the Holy Spirit, and as John the Baptist said, with the spirit and fire, as we see that in the day of Penticost.

Paul had this experience to be with and without the baptism of the Holy Spirit, and at every

opportunity guided the faithful in understanding the importance of the baptism of the Holy Spirit.
