Think back to when we were building up to the invasion.

Is everyone here absolutely sure that WMD's were the only reason given for going in, or are we simply keying in on that part of it?

I think there is more to the story.

Hill, please don't mis understand me. Think for a minute of what would happen to the people of this nation if we lost our normal input of oil. Do some research of our economy and see just how important it is to the national economy. If you are going back there then we as a people owe you our deepest gratitude. I am not disagreeing with our being there, or what you are doing or about to do. You are needed more than most people understand and care to find out about. I just wish people would be up front with us as a people.

There are reasons why they don't, but that has nothing to do with you or your duty. Just please be careful and come back to us as soon as you can.

And don't think or listen to those who say we are stealing their oil for we are not. We are paying for it just like we always did.

I don't want you to go. I'm not even American. Unfortunately now that America is there they have to stay and finish the job.

The USA would have had a lot more support if they had gone in on lagitimate grounds. I'm sorry you are going back. God be with you

Radical isalamic terrorists that is who I was referring to. Saddam was a menice that needed to be taken out sooner or later. Does anyone support Israel here?Saddam was giving money to the families of the suicide bombers. Most radicals consider Israel and America the same. Right now alot, not all, but alot are focused on Americans in Iraq. It is considered an insult that Americans, christians, are in islamic land. If that is what it takes to minimize terroist attacks in America and all over the world then I will glady die.

Relax, Brother, I'm on your side.

All I was saying is that people get wrapped up in this "there's no WMD's, therefore we are wrong" garbage. There were several UN conditions and resolutions beyond WMD's that we went in for. Too bad the UN couldn't help us with enforcing their own decrees.

People want to key in on the WMD thing, but there were several reasons for going in.

I just got back from Afghanistan, myself. (Actually, as I notice what month it is, it's actually been almost a year now since I got back)

      I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

      For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

      2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices. 

      So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

      Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end. 
      Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house. 

      Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

      As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

      Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
      Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

      So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
