Do you really think a fortune teller emotion is appropriate for a Christian forum?

Do you know what the Bible says about fortune tellers?

If someone is saying that a person had a preminition then I can put them in the category of a psychic. Yes, it is appropriate. The Bible strongly rejects psychics.

It came out this morning that this guy wired $100,000 to his girlfriend in the Philipines just a few days prior to the massacre.  He was a multmillionaire so I don't see him being paid to do this.  It just doesn't add up to the typical jihadi or left wing extremist to me.

True, it doesn't have the ring of an Islam-inspired terrorist attack.   I am wondering if this guy isn't more like the guy that tried to kill Scalise?   There was a girl who said she didn't' have sympathy for the victims because people who listen to country music are generally Republican she figured a number of the victims voted for Trump.   I am wondering if this guy didn't have the same hate going on and decided to take out some people he thought were probably Republicans.

ISIS hails Las Vegas shooter as “lion of tawhid”

October 4, 201710:51 am By Robert Spencer

“Tawhid” is Islamic monotheism.

“ISIS Supporters Rejoice At Las Vegas Attack On Social Media: ‘What Now Trump? You Banned “Radicalized Muslims” From Traveling To America! Allah Sent His Soldier From Within Your People,'” MEMRI, October 2, 2017:

The following report is now a complimentary offering from MEMRI’s Jihad and Terrorism Threat Monitor (JTTM). For JTTM subscription information, click here.

On October 2, 2017, the Islamic State (ISIS) news agency A’maq claimed responsibility for the previous evening’s deadly shooting attack at a country music festival in Las Vegas, in which over 50 people were killed and several hundred were wounded.[1] Police identified the attacker as 64-year-old Stephen Craig Paddock. Subsequent posts on numerous ISIS-affiliated Telegram channels noted the ISIS claim that Paddock was a recent convert to Islam. In the hours after the attack, and following the A’maq Agency claim, there have been many celebratory posts on pro-ISIS social media accounts on platforms such as Telegram, Facebook, and Instagram. The following report will include some of the reactions to the Las Vegas attack.

A pro-ISIS channel named Las Vegas USA is dedicated to celebrating yesterday’s attack, criticizing President Trump, and issuing further threats. One graphic shows an image of President Trump waving on one side, and the other side of the graphic shows the aftermath of an attack. The quote featured in the graphic reads: “The so called President Trump can’t help you survive, you should be scared, long night is coming Americans, either you submit willingly or be prepared for your men to be slaughtered and your women enslaved.”

In another post, the Telegram channel posted an image of Paddock with the caption: “O’ Lion of Tawhid [monotheism], May Allah Accept from you. You will be long remembered as the lion who avenged for his brothers.”

A series of posts from the channel reads: “Wishing now your Puppet Presidents stopped interfering in Muslim countries!!

“Take this what happened in #Orlando & #LasVegas was a taste of whats coming…

“America has sunk and there is no savior, and became a prey to the caliphate in every corner of the earth.

“Know that #IslamicState won’t stop fighting you in every Corner of the globe until you accept Islam or Pay Jizyah [poll-tax on Non-Muslims] with Submission.

“O’ American People: You chose your own president, your Taxes money supported your army that killed Muslims, because of that you are a legitimate target for us.”

Another graphic from the channel has a message in Arabic stating: “The Just terror… You claim [to uphold] justice, then we have to implement Allah’s justice on you. It is either death or paying jizyah [tax] with humiliation.”

A graphic reading: “Islamic State The Caliphate USA Licking Her Wounds In Las Vegas” has been circulated on numerous pro-ISIS Telegram channels.

In a conversation in the Telegram channel Muslim Tech Deen, Ya’qoob al-Kurdi stated: “Allahu Akbar I thought it was a silly white guy.” Azizz Hamdan replied: “It is a white guy, but not so silly after all.”

A message in al-Karrar stated: “So what are you waiting for brothers? You complain doors of hijrah are closed! What’s stopping you from opening doors of jihad in your cities? Can’t you kill a kafir [infidel] steal his car & run over the other kuffar? Can’t you stab a kafir with a knife? Can’t you crush his skull with stones?”

Al-Karaar circulated a graphic that reads: “Islamic State The Caliphate USA Where is your security? In Las Vegas A Single Mujahid Look At What He Has Done To You.” An additional caption reads: “What now Trump? You tweeted UK had attacker in sight, what about your agencies in your backyard?”…

Islamic State issues new video claiming Las Vegas massacre is revenge for US attacks on their caliphate

October 4, 201710:36 am By Robert Spencer

No one believes them, but the Islamic State continues to claim the Las Vegas shooting.

“ISIS release new video, bragging that Las Vegas shooting is REVENGE for US attacks against their ‘caliphate,’” by Gareth Davies, Mailonline, October 3, 2017:

Islamic State has released a new video bragging that the Las Vegas massacre was revenge for US attacks against their caliphate.

In what appears to be a desperate publicity stunt, the terror group claimed the horrific acts of Stephen Paddock, 64, were down to them, saying they radicalised him months before he shot 58 people dead and injured 527 more on Sunday night. He then committed suicide.

FBI officials rubbished the claims, saying he had no affiliation to any terrorist organisations, but the Islamic extremists took to their propaganda news agencies to spread the word.

The latest to emerge is on the pro-ISIS Al-Battar Media Foundation who released a two-minute video in English titled Rightful Revenge, unearthed by the Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI).

The video presents excerpts from an eye- witness’s testimony about the attack, from statements by the Las Vegas Sheriff, and from an old recording by British ISIS executioner Mohamed Emawzi, who became known as Jihadi John.

In his speech, he says that attacks on Muslims would result in bloodshed in the aggressors’ home countries.

A written message appearing on the screen declares that the film is ‘a message to America and her allies from the Islamic State,’ that ‘as you kill us in our country, we will kill you in your country’.

It also shows the scene of the atrocity from above awash with blood with the caption ‘we are back because of your arrogant foreign policy towards the Islamic State’.

The video also singles out Donald Trump, insisting the President had ignored their previous ‘serious’ warnings.

A song, featured regularly in previous Arabic propaganda videos, plays in the background with the lyrics ‘Oh, my brothers, jihad is the way, to bring back the honour, the glorious day. The promise of Allah will always remain, the fight for his sake is the ultimate gain’.

Yesterday, the terror group put out a statement claiming shooter Stephen Paddock was a ‘soldier of the Islamic State’.

But the FBI dismissed the claim – saying there was nothing in Paddock’s background to suggest he had become a follower of Isis….

Was Las Vegas a Jihad Attack?

There is scant reason to doubt ISIS’ claim of responsibility.

October 3, 2017
Memphis imam Yasir Qadhi said that the Las Vegas massacre was a manifestation of “white privilege.” Texas imam Omar Suleiman tweeted ridicule of ISIS’ claim of responsibility for the attack: “Breaking: ISIS claims responsibility for hurricane Harvey saying he became Muslim days before hitting Houston.”

They didn’t ridicule the ISIS claim, but unnamed U.S. officials did decisively dismiss it: Reuters reported that “two senior US officials said on Monday that there was no evidence that the shooter who killed at least 50 people in Las Vegas was tied to any international militant group….One of the two US officials discounted Islamic State’s claim of responsibility and said there was reason to believe that the shooter, whom police identified as 64-year-old Stephen Paddock, had a history of psychological problems.”

The only one insisting that the Islamic State was responsible was the Islamic State itself. Its Amaq news agency initially announced: “The Las Vegas attack was carried out by a soldier of the Islamic State and he carried it out in response to calls to target states of the coalition. The Las Vegas attacker converted to Islam a few months ago.”

Then, after its initial claim was dismissed everywhere, the Islamic State doubled down, issuing an official communiqué identifying Paddock as “Abu Abd Abdulbar al-Ameriki.” Even after their claim was dismissed everywhere, they didn’t back away from it. They don’t seem to be afraid that Stephen Paddock will turn out to be a white supremacist neo-Nazi or some such. They don’t seem to be worried about being exposed as grandiose liars.

And historically, they haven’t been liars, at least when they claimed responsibility for jihad attacks. Islamic State expert Graeme Wood notes in The Atlantic that “the idea that the Islamic State simply scans the news in search of mass killings, then sends out press releases in hope of stealing glory, is false,” and that those who claim that ISIS is in the habit of taking credit for attacks it had nothing to do with “do not have a preponderance of prior examples on their side.” Contradicting Suleiman’s ridicule, Wood notes: “The Islamic State does not claim natural disasters. Its supporters rejoice in them, but they reserve their official media for intentional acts.” Cont...

Any who perpetuates that ISIS did this without any evidence is doing their work for them
