Yochanan the immerser declared that no man can receive anything (like understanding, or wisdom, or knowledge, or a wife, or a husband, or cattle, or victory in battle )

UNLESS the FATHER in HEAVEN grants it .....  i.e. not just 'sometimes'  , but every time,  all the time.....)

Ask, seek and knock and the door will be opened unto us.

Jesus didn't do anything that had the appearance of evil, from a biblical understanding of what "evil"  means.   "Evil" is not an arbitrary word that means whatever anyone wants it to mean at any given time.

Jesus associated with those that the religious leaders would not associate with, but that does not mean that Jesus took on the appearance of evil.

According to you and others, it appears evil for a man to be alone in public with a woman not his spouse or family member.  Jesus was alone on public with a woman known to have a "low reputation" that was neither His spouse or family member.

Jesus did actions that appeared to break the Sabbath, this would be evil from a biblical understanding.

Jesus did not care about appearances.

Yes, He did.  Picking grain on the sabbath (working) had the appearance of breaking the sabbath.  Approaching and talking to women, even prostitutes, in the street had the appearance of soliciting fornication, which is evil according to the bible.  Socializing with tax collectors would have had the appearance of being party to their corrupt activities.  I think I will just have to leave it there though, shiloh, I don't know how else to explain what I am trying to say.  Bless you.

I understand what you are saying, but none of that means that Jesus violated the principle laid down in I Thess. 5:22.   Jesus never took on the appearance of "evil"  according to the Scriptures.

It is pretty deplorable to attempt to put Jesus at odds with Scripture to assign the appearance of evil to Him

No, I don't have religion.  The RCC is a religion.   I  have Jesus, instead.

And I have access to both His body and blood thanks to that "religion."

No, you don't.   The Mass is a pagan sacrifice of Jesus to the Father.  There is no access to either His body or blood through that abominable ritual.

I have eternal life by faith alone, in Christ alone because of His shed blood and broken body.   I don't have to perform pagan rituals over and over.

No it isn't a conspiracy.  It is a fact that some of the modern Bible versions have changed the meaning of some scriptures.  Why would you say they don't?

Most of the more modern translation make those meanings more clear and accurate, including the RKJ and the NKJV. But I don't think replacing "his" or "he" for "Jesus" changes anything.

Context is everything.

No, that's not how translation works.   The modern versions are based on the Alexandrinus, the Codex Vaticanus and the Codex Sinaiticus.  They are all corrupt Greek manuscripts and the Vaticanus is the source for why the the JW New World Translation claims that Jesus is a god and not "God"....

Even some JWs have finally ditched their NWT for the NIV.

"Fidelity to Scripture is the first priority of the New International Version (NIV). The NIV translators bring a wealth of experience in the original Greek, Hebrew, and Aramaic languages of the Bible. The result? An accurate, reliable translation of God’s Word you can read and understand...."

Hmm, it is a waste of time listening to your own thoughts that occur in your head-- instead of looking up those Bible scriptures that Shiloh gave you so you could compare them.

See my other response to you.

Tell that to the Pharisees who criticized Christ for healing on the Sabbath and who also attributed his good works to the father of all lies.

"Then they brought him a demon-possessed man who was blind and mute, and Jesus healed him, so that he could both talk and see. All the people were astonished and said, 'Could this be the Son of David?'

"But when the Pharisees heard this, they said, 'It is only by Beelzebul, the prince of demons, that this fellow drives out demons....'" ((Matthew 12:22-37).

Then how exactly do you eat His body and drink His blood as per John 6:53?

"Then Jesus said unto them, 'Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you....'" (KJV).

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
