Thank you, Abdicate.

It amazes me, that even with Jesus' own words there is such strife and ignorance about the sabbath. It really astonishes me how religious bias blinds so many and turns others away from the truth. The blind leading the blind.

All the more remarkable, for how simple it really is.
Because the sabbath is when we make our prayer to God.
It is when we take a rest from the world, and have a pray.

Most everyone will say they pray to God, in one way or another, at some time or another.
So most everyone is keeping sabbaths, however they proclaim to pray.
It just makes sense to me, if we are praying the Lord, to do it after the order that He says,
lest He cause us to forget.

And the Apostles teach us how to make it.
Offer our self up as newborn babes, desiring to know His word.
Which is our reasonable service.

But rather than say "sabbath", nowadays it is said, "Call upon the name of the Lord".
Because everyone that calls upon the name of the Lord is saved.
When we call upon the name of the Lord, we offer our self up to Him. We are making a sabbath.
And if He "feeds" us, then we are saved.

They asked me to do it, first time I went to Church, "offer your self up to Jesus", they said,
and they gave me the sinner's prayer to say (that I might adopt the right attitude).
And they said it is an essential thing we must to do to receive salvation.
Every Church I went to said it.

With the luxury of hindsight, and a few years meditation on the word, and looking back now,
I can see they are telling each newcomer to make the sabbath.
We can do it.

Praise the Lord
Paul

And He hath violently taken away His tabernacle, as if it were of a garden:
He hath destroyed His places of the assembly:
the LORD hath caused the solemn feasts and sabbaths to be forgotten in Zion,
and hath despised in the indignation of His anger the king and the priest.

Thank you WhenIsJesusComing.

I wasn't actually debating you, I was agreeing with you,
except for about the Calendar.

We are not to observe times.

Not many are able to believe.

Now I can say to you,
you know nothing about God's commandments and their importance.

You were saying how important they were, that even Jesus kept them all His life,
but you don't need to keep them?
And never let the Lord passover you?

I do, as often as I can.
And He does come quickly
Paul

He which testifies these things saith,
Surely I come quickly.
Amen.
Even so, come, Lord Jesus.

Revelation 22:20

Can you spot your own contradiction? Here let me show you:

You said: "We are not to observe times."

Then you said; "you know nothing about God's commandments and their importance.

You were saying how important they were, that even Jesus kept them all His life,
but you don't need to keep them?
And never let the Lord passover you?

I do, as often as I can."

So which is it, do you keep the Passover or don't you? Or is this all to do with the what the voice/s in you head are telling you?

I will repeat, seeing as you didn't take it on board the first time; We don't need to keep the Passover, that was merely one of the ritualistic Feasts and Holy Days the Jews (AND THE JEWS ONLY! NOT THE CHRISTIANS) had to keep in order for them to recognise the coming Messiah who would fulfil them. Jesus fulfilled 10 of the 12 Feasts and Holy Days. He will fulfil the 2 that are left, Atonement and Tabernacles, when He returns.

The importance of the Feasts for Christians is for them to know when our Lord is returning on the day of Atonement, this will be the Great and Terrible Day of the Lord when he will appear on the clouds. Five days later is Tabernacles when Jesus will return to the mount of Olives:

1 Thessalonians 5:4 – “You’re not in darkness for that day to surprise you like a thief.”

And:

Amos 3:7 – Surely the Sovereign LORD does nothing without revealing his plan to his servants the prophets.

I appreciate your patient exhortation.

I said I do, and you asked if I do.

I don't observe it as a time, I observe it by doing it.
I don't keep a calendar date, but when I can take the time out of my life, I do it.

I do not know.

My apology, I thought I had addressed this.
I may be getting confused with another sabbath thread.

If you read and understand the OP then it will be you who will understand that the Passover is always on a Sabbath. If you continue to ignore the OP then you will remain in ignorance about this.

Early eve Nisan 14: Yeshua ate the Passover with His disciples (last supper). Later the same day he was crucified.

Exactly 3 days and 3 nights later on the Sabbath, He arose.
A little while later it was the first day of the week.
Then He met Mary etc. BUT HE WAS RAISED ON THE SABBATH.

So OBSERVE the Sabbath for more than one reason. However your conscience dictates.

Thank you, When.

The purpose of the sabbath is to come into the presence of the Lord. Isn't it?

According to Jesus, the Spirit is always willing.
It is us that is holding us back.
That is why we have got to set aside a time, some time, to not do what we normally do with our days.
And to not let our thoughts just wander randomly, as they normally do.
It is a sacrifice.
We are sacrificing our time. And we are sacrificing our desire to do our pleasure.
And we sacrifice any proud spirit in us that might spoil our holy day with Jesus.

The sabbath isn't anything esoteric or mystical.
It is when we make our pray to God. It is when we call on His name.
I don't think anyone denies they do that.

And it's how we have a rest from our lives.
Thank You Jesus
Paul

For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them,
and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters:
and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.

Yes, and I've answered that question too. I'm just going with the flow. Most don't even know what "keeping the Sabbath" is because they're blinded by man's traditions rather than the word of God. So when is it and keeping it are not mutually exclusive subjects.

Yes they are:

"Remember the Sabbath day, [when] by keeping it holy [how].

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
