Keith,

Very well written! I agree wholeheartedly!! This was obviously prompted by the Holy Spirit. Sadly, though, it is not a message too many people want to hear.

I truly believe that is why God is giving so many of his children dreams and visions of coming judgments, because he wants to wake the church up, and truly I believe the church will not be awakened unless they get a swift kick in the rear.

And, once they are awakened, then they will be able to see beyond themselves and see what God sees. And, it is then they will respond to His voice. It is then we will see a great harvest of souls. I truly don't see much of a change in the church in America w/o a swift kick of God's judgment first.

Sue,

I knew it wouldn't be the most popular thread on Worthy, but I trust the Holy Spirit's purpose will be accomplished with it. In general, people do not like to be challenged personally in this way. It takes courage, honesty and integrity to answer these questions truthfully. It's preaching to me just as much as to everyone else. I am the farthest thing from perfect that I know of.

Keith, while I really do understand where you are coming from, and to a point agree, I do think we need this reality check.

Since I logged off a bit after noon and reset my new posts listings there have been posts on 46 different threads. Topics ranging from being last to jokes to mormons to Roman Catholics to prayer needs to verse studies and many many topics. I don't think that we as a whole focus too much on end time happenings. We do get heated and are not acting too christian like at times when these subjects come up, but that is a totally different subject and it is abused by all sides by a few people.

There are some who do spend a bit too much time only writing in the end time threads, but there are just as many or more that do not want any negative end time stuff talked about at all, and usually ends by those getting upset and getting all deleted.

Well the downer things really need to be looked at along with the rest, for we are warned that they are coming. Jesus told us that these things are coming and told us that he was telling us so we would know and understand and not stumble when they arrived.

It is my personal view that the problem is not the time spent talking about the end time things, it is the way it is discussed and there are a few that push the subject to hurtful levels quickly every time those subjects come up.

During the last thread that was stopped today someone suggested that I was a pretty miserable person who only thought about the dark side of the world, and nothing of the sort is the truth. I spend much much more time in the prayer needs threads than even reading those few end time threads, much less posting in them.

So I suggest we all really do a reality check and look through all the posts on the board and I think you will all find that end time stuff is a really small part of Worthy. However mistreating each other seems to spill over into all the threads from one time to another.

So my ask is for us to all treat each other like friends that we don't want to loose instead of remote acquaintances that don't matter. I think in a short time we will all need each other and no matter what subject comes up we need to be here for each other, if there is a here to be had.

Thanks for your post, for it made me step back and do that reality check.

other one,

I really appreciate your post. It gives me a chance to explain something that may not have been clear.

My comments were about Christians everywhere, not specifically those at Worthy. I never thought it might come across that way and I apologize if it did!

As far as the end times threads, that part was just a small portion of what I was talking about. Again, I didn't mean to imply that I thought Worthy members were going "end times crazy" or anything like that! LOL The point was meant for Christians everywhere who get "overly" caught-up in the end times and prophecies. I absolutely believe we need to be aware of these events when they occur, but I don't believe they are meant for us to call the team in from the outfield because we're saved and the game is almost over. They should be spurring us on to more action! God has work for us to do... are we willing to do it?

I brought it up as another example of something that seems to distract some Christians from going about our Father's business; that it's not just the things of this world that can distract us and cause us to lose focus.

My post was intended to gently put the brakes on and cause each of us to take a deep breath and see where we are at with God and our walk with Him. Are we focused on His business or ours? Have we let things/people distract us? Which future are we more concerned with... the temporal one on earth or our eternal one with Jesus? Just what is it that we are doing with our time? Have our priorities become skewed?

Thanks again other one, for the chance to clear up some things that may have needed to be! And thank you for taking the time to respond. I value your thoughts.

P.S... To get me to use a sports analogy is no small accomplishment! Kudos!

I too have seen a lot of back biting and nail scratching and animosity, but I have also seen two people go head to head with name calling and judging and so on only to go into the next day lifting each other up.

We as people fall in the muck a lot, but God being God will come along and let his grace spill over into each and every one of us.

We do need to wake up and smell the coffee and hopefully we won't leave it til too late :taped:

Thank you for posting this, Keith, and thanks, too, for this clarification. I am not generally a person who does computer boards, but I was led here while searching for more information to help me better understand what God was showing me about what is coming in the near future. So, I initially concentrated more time in the Prophecy area. Then, I ventured out to the General Discussion and from there have gone to other areas, as well, because there is a ministry on here and there are many people to get to know and lives to touch, etc. God is expanding my horizons, and I'm glad that he led me here to get to know all of you wonderful people. I know this is short lived and we're here only for a time, but I will treasure the time I had here with all of you.

Thanks for responding, Gerioke!

While I agree with what you said, I again want to emphasize that this is NOT what my original post is talking about. I am not talking about Worthy members and their posts or the strife that can happen here occasionally.

I don't want this thread to turn into that. My point is that Christians everywhere seem to be more distracted by the world and it's treasures and worries than ever before. Sometimes even prophecy and end times events can get some Christians to lose their focus on what is really important..... Going about our Father's business of bringing the lost to Christ and fulfilling the call He's placed on our lives. We should be thinking towards our eternal life and it's rewards rather than spending so much time on our shorter futures here and trying to make our lives in this world really great. We need to beware of the distractions the enemy uses on Christians.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
