Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea."  Rev.21:1.

"I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride , beautifully dressed for her husband."  Vs 2.

"And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, 'Now the dwelling of God is with men, and He will live with them.  They will be His people, and God Himself will be with them and be their God.."  Vs 3.

"He will wipe every tear from their eyes.  There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the ols order of things has passed away.'"  Vs 4.

"He who was seated on the throne said, 'I am making everything new!'  Then He said, 'Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.'"  Vs 5.

The above scene is the fulfillment of one of Jesus most hoped for promises for all of us who belong to Him as recorded in the following:

"Do not let your hearts be troubled.  Trust in God; trust also in me."  Jn.14:1.

"In my Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you.  I am going there to prepare a place for you."  Vs 2.

"And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you may be where I am."  Vs 3.

"You know the way to the place where I am going."  Vs 4.

"You heard me say I am going away and I am coming back to you.  If you loved me, you would be glad that I am going to the Father, for the Father is greater than I."  Vs 28.

The new Jerusalem coming down out of heaven, is the Father's house, in which Jesus has been preparing a place in all of the many mansions for each of us who belong to Him.  That all of us who belong to Jesus will more than likely be in, as the city settles to the new earth.

Notice the new Jerusalem is coming down out of heaven from God.  It is going to be a 1,500 mile cube.  As long as it is wide as it is high!  It will have great high walls, 216 feet thick!  It will shine with the glory of God, its brilliance like that of a precious jewel, like a jasper, clear as crystal.

It will have twelve gates with angels at each of them; three on the east, three on the north, three on the south and three on the west.  Each gate will have the name of one of the tribes of Israel on it.  The walls will have twelve foundations, and the name of Jesus twelve apostles on them.

The wall was made of jasper, and the city of pure gold, as pure as glass.  The foundations of the city walls were decorated with every kind of precious stone.  The first foundation was jasper, the second sapphire, the third chalcedony, the fourth emerald, the fifth sardonyx, the sixth carnelian, the seventh chrysolite, the eighth beryl, the ninth topaz, the tenth chrysoprase, the eleventh jacinth, and the twelth
amethyst.  The twelve gates were twelve pearls, each gate made of a single pearl.  The great street of the city was pure gold, like transparent glass.

There will be no temple in the city because the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple.  The city will not need the sun or the moon to shine on it, for the glory of God gives it light, and the Lamb is its lamp.  The nations will walk by its light and the kings of the earth will bring their splendor into it.  On no day will its gates ever be shut, for there will be no night there.  The glory and honor of the nations will be brought into it.  Nothing impure will ever enter into it, nor will anyone who does what is shameful or deceitful, but only those whose names are written in the Lamb's book of life.

There will be a river of the water of life, as clear as crystal flowing from the throne of God and the Lamb, down the middle of the great street of the city.  on each side of the river will stand the tree of life that will bear twelve crops of fruit every month.  The leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations.  There will be no more curse.  The throne of God and of the Lamb will be in the city, and His servants will serve Him.  They will see His face, and His name will be on their foreheads.  There will be no more night but they will not need the light of a lamp or of the sun, because the Lord God will give them light.  And they will reign forever and ever.

An angel spoke to John saying, "These words are trustworthy and true.  The Lord, the God of the spirits of the prophets, sent His angel to show His servants the things that must soon take place."

Even so, come Lord Jesus!

It sounds amazing and beautiful. I am anxiously awaiting that experience. It will hover over the earth? Will there also be a new heaven? As Saints who were raptured with the Church what will be our position at this time?

What is the Holy City of New Jerusalem all about?

God's plan of redemption on the 7th day completed and man once again living in the presence of God with God.

God said to Adam and Eve if they ate the fruit, they will surely die. Death in the biblical sense means a separation from God. No relationship nor able to dwell in His presence. After eating the fruit, Adam and Eve were cast out from the garden, no longer able to be with God.

For the wages of sin is death. Sinners cannot have a relationship with God, and are separated from Him.

God's plan of redemption on the 7th day completed and man once again living in the presence of God with God. We will dwell with God and see Him just as Adam and Eve did before the fall.

Hosea 6:1-3 New King James Version (NKJV)

Come, and let us return to the Lord;
For He has torn, but He will heal us;
He has stricken, but He will bind us up.
After two days He will revive us;
On the third day He will raise us up,
That we may live in His sight.

Let us know,
Let us pursue the knowledge of the Lord.
His going forth is established as the morning;
He will come to us like the rain,
Like the latter and former rain to the earth.

Revelation 21:22-23 New King James Version (NKJV)

22 But I saw no temple in it, for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple. 23 The city had no need of the sun or of the moon to shine in it, for the glory of God illuminated it. The Lamb is its light.

Revelation 22:4-5 New King James Version (NKJV)

They shall see His face, and His name shall be on their foreheads. There shall be no night there: They need no lamp nor light of the sun, for the Lord God gives them light. And they shall reign forever and ever.

Hi sis,

Indeed, what a wonderful and glorious time it will be, when all of us who belong to Jesus, will experience those awesome conditions for all eternity.  The Scriptures tell us, the city will have twelve foundations, with the names of the twelve apostles on them, and twelve gates with the name of the twelve tribes of Israel on them.  It will be a sky scraper, 1,500 miles high, 1,500 miles wide and 1,500 miles long.  A 1,500 mile cube, God will bring down from the new heaven and plant firmly on the new earth.

According to the Scriptures, the New Jerusalem will have twelve foundations with the names of the twelve Apostles of Jesus on them.  I would hardly believe from that, the city would be hovering in space like a satellite, where foundations are hardly needed, would you, sis?

I am not sure. I have heard debates on both sides. That it will sit on earth and that it will hover just over the earth. I think that foundations would be needed if it hovered over the earth.

The Scriptures tell us, God is bringing the New Jerusalem down from the new heaven, in Rev.21.  Further reference is to there will no longer be any oceans, that trees are growing with never ending fruit, no temple will be needed because Almighty God and the Lamb are present among mankind.  Nor is either the sun or the moon needed any longer, because God and the Lamb provide all the li8ght that is needed.  Nor will there be any night time.  I urge you to read Rev.21 in its entirety, as it is truly inspiring.  The new Jerusalem will be on the new earth.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

      Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

      This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

      You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

      Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

      I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

      For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

      2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

      So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

      Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
      Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

      Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

      As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

      Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
      Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

      So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
