Prayer As We Go Into The New Year

I love having something to look at and come back to. I thought I would share my prayer, for the new year. But more than just a new year, as a daily reminder.

I would love to read any prayers or verses you are holding on to at this time.

Dear Father, as I face this new day, I admit that I need your guidance. 

I give my hopes and expectations to you. I pray that you give me the strength and wisdom that is needed along the way.

Help me to remember that I am not facing this alone, that You are with me.

Help me to keep my focus on You.

In a time of so much uncertainty, thank you, that Your love is unchanging.

Thank you for your love and goodness. Your provision in my life.

Help me to continue to keep you as a central focus in my life. In my thoughts, actions and words.

Thank you for the example you have shown me, in sending the Savior of the world, and that I have your written Word to continue to learn from.

Amen.

Good evening/morning Annette.  I guess you guys still have a few hours to go.  I have prayed a few prayers today but will definitely add yours to the list.  Praise the Lord.  It is very fitting.

      I have a prayer that i want God to answer.         

                Oh most high God open the eyes and ears of more unsaved ones who dwell in the darkness of this age.

            Let the light of God seen in the face of Jesus open your truth unto them.

            And let us not cause anyone to stumble at your word because of our sinfulness.

           Let your Holy Spirit gives us power to help free the captives by living the gospel and the courage to share the gospel of Jesus to them who do not know where they are going. 

            Let your great name be praise through out this coming year by our word and by our deeds.

             And help us to be kind in word and deed to all. May this New Year be the year our Lord comes and rules over the earth. If he tarrys help us to wait in faith.

Thanks Wayne for sharing your prayer. I love how putting something down in writing at times, helps us clarify our thoughts.
