now is the worst time to have kids?

God knits babies together in their mothers wombs. He is in charge of where we are, who we know, and also what we do. He is in charge of all the babies born every minute. We're all conceived in sin. I was saved three years ago and God gave me my beautiful daughters long before then, I just didn't know or realize that at the time. The 'lost' need time to be saved and we all know how patient God can be. This topic is out of our hands period and plus God wants as many souls saved as possible. Children bring people closer to God whether they know it or not. Keep spreading the Good News so that our kingdom is full! We have a lot of work to do. GodSon Bless

This is a wonderful time to bring up a child in the ways of God. I am always excited to see so many families adopting  in addition to having  natural born children in the church family. It is exciting what God is doing!

Yesterday I stood in the back of the sanctuary and noted the families, the youth especially, and the vibrancy of their attentive nature. It's rather grand the number that are being raised up prepared.

i think there is a difference between bring a child into this world in a time like this as oppose to adoption.

i am not a parent myself, but one passage i can think of from the scripture that is related to this topic is

Luke 2 35

“A painful sword will one day pierce your inner being, for your child will be rejected by many in Israel. And the destiny of your child is this: he will be laid down as a miracle sign for the downfall and resurrection of many in Israel. Many will oppose this sign, but it will expose to all the innermost thoughts of their hearts before God.”

 

anyway, God gives each one of us freewill, there is nothing wrong with having children

 

but it is not a choice i would make for myself in a time like this, and i think any Christians should consider it carefully before they do.

It is a prophecy, like many others. And if it can fit in the current scenario, then it is for today.

There are always hardships to cope with. Why almost no one can foresee earning the amount of money it takes to raise a child today.  I couldn't see it some 55 years ago either. It is always the same story, times are hard we can't do....

Yet whatever it is that is to be done, gets done. The months become years and the years decades. Children become parents and parents, some, become grandparents. Life goes on, and Jesus sacrifice on the cross still saves all of them that are called by the Holy Spirit to repentance from their sin against God the Father through the mercy extended by our Lord Jesus.  And all is well for eternity to come. All were foreknown and all that are foreknown are also predestined, given to Lord Jesus who is God by His Father who is God, and He does not lose a one turned about to repentance by the specific call  of the Holy Spirit who is God.  God is sovereign over all.

Praise God for the lessons that point to His glory, and for the many blessings to come whether one lives as Paul encouraged if possible or if meant to go and be fruitful, and to also go into all the world  with the gospel of Jesus so that many may be found mature in the faith the gospel of Jesus.

May those without children be blessed to serve God. May those with a child or  many children be blessed and serve God; and thank you LORD for the privilege and blessing  of living  long enough to know a grandchild to pray  over and give thanks for to YOU. Amen.

The great delight perhaps the greatest is to ask a question of a quite  young grandchild "What are you doing?", and hear the response from that young grandchild. " I'm just talking with Jesus".  It is encouragement in faith that carries me on in my own faith that God is true, that He hears and He answers prayer and He is merciful. Praise God giving thanks in all things, all things.

I'm with Neighbors on the children issue. With a dozen grandchildren, believers all, they will be given an opportunity to plant seeds and spend eternity with God. The more believers, the more to give Glory to God. Children are more resilient and tougher than most adults. It may get scary, but God is still on the throne, and He will never leave us or forsake us. I think it will be (if He returns in our lifetime) be very exciting, as we will be privileged to see His return, after more than two centuries having left.    Lord, come quickly.

 

 I stood outside with others and looked into the night sky for Sputnik.  I heard President Kennedy speak that  we will put a man on the moon. I became one of oh so many young that grew up around that race. Why smelly pieces of the  proposed USA paraglider space capsule reentry landing system sat beside my morning Cherrios, My father having worked half way through the night on it. He would travel to Alabama to  as he put it blow up yet another rocket motor, until they solved the liquid fuel storage problem. 

 I learned there are always the great  problems, and certainly always the naysayers nattering  negativity.  But God does also give us the great  visionaries too. And they proclaim and the people rally  to serve some great cause, just as we are to serve the cause that is Christ Jesus saving faith born in blood shed for us, to redeem us, His making atonement for the sin that separates each of us from God the Father.

All the  serious  problems are the challenges that allow for the raising up  and the pointing out of the visionaries that God raises up among us, for the making of order to accomplish the visions and God's good purposes. We think we are free and strong willed, but we are  only  what God allows of us, each one as we rally around the causes of the moment, causes that point out God is sovereign, always has been,  is, and will be.
