Here are the basics:

The first 1611 contained a letter from the translators, marginalia (Those are the notes in the margins) and the Apocrypha. Another printing of the 1611 eliminated the letter and the marginalia, but left the Apocrypha. Finally, the KJV without the "1611" eliminated all 3.

So you can have a 1611 with the Apocrypha or without it.

the actual 1511 (correction: 1611) version has 80 books, not 66....

the actual 1611 is more difficult to read...

actually the Tyndale version is an earlier version and is easier to read.

There is a photocopy of an original 1611 kjv bible. Please note that the old english is there, along with the apocrypha. That is the 1611 kjv bible. The one most use today is actually from 1769, where the language was updated and the apocrypha was removed. For those who dont know, the 1611 kjv bible was an anglican. catholic response to the Geneva bible, which was the favored protestant bible at the time. (The Tyndale bible predates the Geneva.) The Geneva bible was the one first brought by the pilgrims to the New World. For those who have esword, you can have a 1611 kjv bible on your program.

This is in transition right now, but a friend is currently putting the 1611 kjv bible online as he has time.

The 1611 also used a type setting that is very difficult to read. The letter "u" looked like a "v."

So a word would read:

vnto

Instead of:

unto

I have always wanted to read the Apographa, since someone told me that there was more to the actual Bible than just the usual books in it, today.

My fascination drove me to looking up on the Internet, trying to look up quotations of it....but I could not come across a thing.....what a disppointment!
