Why do we need more to buy more oil if we are really born again? If we are really born again then we trust God for all the oil we need to finish our race (Holy Spirit) and He promised to give that to us. Do you really think you can get more oil in your efforts of working for it?

A child of God who knows God and knows to be his/her child can trust her heavenly Father and follow Him, wouldn't we want to follow Jesus who went to the cross to die for our sins and  is always looking after us?

To have no oil is not being a child of God and therefore not born again . You can't buy the Holy Spirit by works.

Going by what scripture shows.......when we first come to faith we receive a deposit of oil that comes "free", we pay no price for it......but we are admonished by Jesus, to count the cost of following Him.....and if we would be disciples we must deny ourselves, take up our cross and follow Him.  And notice that the extra oil for the lamps of the ten virgins had to be bought, a price had to be paid for it.  Notice also in scripture where we are told to BUY the truth but sell it not.....there is a price to pay for going on to maturity, perfection, as we are admonished to leave the foundational principles, not needing to rehash them over and over, but go and buy more truth and oil to add to it in order to mature and grow.

Many do not mature though, they are kept in dependance on their mother churches, heeding the teachings of men long past when they should have been weaned and begun seeking and buying truth and oil for themselves.

 Psa 131:2

Surely I have behaved and quieted myself, as a child that is weaned of his mother: my soul is even as a weaned child.

 1Sa 1:22

But Hannah went not up; for she said unto her husband, I will not go up until the child be weaned, and then I will bring him, that he may appear before the LORD, and there abide for ever.

In the midst of the increasing darkness, the church will, once again, as it did in the book of Acts, rose up in beauty, glory, power and agape love. The final harvest awaits! Do we think it has already happened? Ha! No way!

God is not going to birth the church in such an incredible display that the world marveled at, only to rescue his defeated and depleted bride as she hangs on by her fingernails. The early church received the early rain, and that shower of blessing was so rich, it firmly established the church so that it could spwithstand the summet drought to come. 100 years have passed, with just enough showers to keep it alive. We are now approaching the time of harvest, the final end gathering. Remember, Gid house will be FULL!

The latter rain is now beginning to fall and as glorious as the early rain was, the latter rain? It will be MORE glorious! We as children of God are going to be awakened from our slumber and light our lamps. We will willingly cast off our old self centered sin loving natures and put on our brand new ones. And millions in the world will marvel, and multitudes will come to the Lord.

But as the wheat, the virgins with oil light their lamps and draw closer to God, the tares, those with no oil, will flee for they will not be willing to give up their self nature. That is the great falling away. We are going to go out shining, victorious and filled with God Himself, not as lukewarm, passionless, defeated saints. And all.... ALL.... who love the Lord in truth will be awakened, and light their lamps, and BE light.

Yes, there will be great persecution, but much of it will come from the religious tares, who as they turn us in to becimprosoned or killed,  will be so blind they will actually think that they are doing God a great service by doing so.

Blessings,

Gideon

It is a dilemma, no doubt. And all those admonitions are important. Except..... we cannot do them! We are told to struggle to enter the rest? Whaaaatt? Does that even make sense? It does indeed. When we first start out as believers, we are often like Peter. “I will NEVER deny you!” And like Peter we deny him three times in how we live... and love. . Until we learn the lesson. As much as we may want to obey him and discipline ourselves and run our race correctly and walk as sojourner, our old nature still rules. And it is not going anywhere, at least willingly.

So we try harder still! Wham. Same wall. Same results. And that continues for as long as it takes for our struggle to wear us down to the point we have NO strength, NO confidence in our fleshly efforts, even if we are well meaning and want to obey.

As Paul said, to will is present with me, but how to perform it, I find not. There is the struggle we all must go through, if we truly want to walk as we are instructed. When does the struggle end? When we are out of options. When we are broken and weary, wanting to do good but finding we simply cannot meet God’s standard. We CAN’T love God with our whole hearts. Why? Simple. Part of us loves US! And certainly we cannot love others as we love ourselves. That is out of this world impossible, right?

So, broken and desperate, we come to God confessing our inability to walk pleasing to Him, and cry out for a brand new nature, one that truly CAN obey Him. And glory to God, to our amazement, we finally see it!

We have been new creatures since the day we were saved! BUT, we had to learn a hard lesson. And what is this lesson?

We can do nothing unless He does it through us.

oh,we get that we start by grace.  But initially, we are blinded to the truth that we are alsokept by grace, and it is grace... Fod IN us, that must cause us to obey Him. We are transformed into Hos image by grace......as we trust Him to bring all these  things about. God has ordained that it is to be the obedience o faith that is key to everything we want from Him. He has it for us, these amazing new natures, but.... they must be put on. And to do that, we must first come to HATE our old fleshly nature, self will.... and put it off the very same way, by faith.

We are about to witness.... and be a part of.... a flat out miracle. We are about to awaken to the truth of who we are, light our lamps, and enter the rest that remains for the children of God. Before the Lord return, we as the bride of Christ are going to awaken and stun the world. And men shall exclaim “Look, that which bore only briars and thorns has become again like the garden of Eden!”

We are about to mount up with eagles wings and discover exactly what ‘the glorious liberty of the children of God’ actually is. Trust me, it will be breathtaking.

Blessings,

Gideon

That is such great good news for His weary wilderness wanderers.......I think it's something we each must enter into and receive individually, as you did......we are mostly a scattered flock right now.......but all together from heaven's perspective it is going to look like what you saw in your vision.....would you agree, or how did you see that happening?

And where are we to go as we take up our cross? Are we to live as miserable suffering martyrs, not as those who are risen to newness of life with Jesus? No, we pick up our cross to DIE! We willingly go down into death with Christ. We agree this is hat our old nature deserves! And we joyfully rise again to newness of life, though we know we do not deserve it.

Amd as we yield ourselves to God, we do not hang our heads in shame, confessing that we are just sinners, saved by grace, but not Fred by it. No. We yield ourselves to Him as those who are alive from the dead! We put on, by faith, our new natures and to our amazement, when we combine the blood of the lamb with the words of OUR testimony, we discover how easy overcoming actually is.

Brother, we have been goven all we need to walk in victory over the world, the flesh and the devil. And when we finally believe it, a shudder will echo through thc portals of hell. The devil will know his time is short, and praise a God, it really is!

Blessings,

Gideon

AMEN...we really HAVE been given it all, just that we are sometimes slow to believe and receive, and need to kill all of Egypt out of us, hence the journey through a wilderness until we get to that beautiful shore, of the Jordan, and cross it in this life, now.  Enjoying your messages brother, thank you...it agrees with the understanding I've received so far.....glory to the Lord.

"latter rain"....oh that's never good when that is mentioned.

oh?  you better tell that to God then, sister, because He is the one who mentioned it several times in His word.

It's just that we always see flesh running away with His truths and that's where people get into trouble, not that the actual truth itself is at fault.

In the past, when we talk about revivals, they are generally location specific. Generally one charismatic man who is a good speaker is the center, so to speak. He has fire, and everyone comes to warm themselves at that fire. That is all wonderful. But in all revivals, they simply peter out after a time. They were passing rain clouds who gave us mercy drops to keep the church alove until the final latter rain at the harvest.

But as the latter rain begins, and it is, individuals will begin to “pop”. And these, filled with new found joy and excitement and victory, will share with others, who will do likewise. This will not be a man centered event. It will not be a location specific event. It will be a worldwide event. Like popcorn in a microwave, the church will start out individual small flames but grow into an out of control grass roots fire of glory.

There will be no pride here. There will be no leaders sharing the glory with God. There will just be God’s glorious church arising fr M the ashes of 500 bickering denominations. Will the current system we think of as church be able to hold it. Perhaps, but I sincerely doubt it. I have a feeling it will be millions of house church’s, helping one another survive the hard times, praying for the other churches.

There will be no free lancing. God will reveal Gimself the same to everyone. No one is going to have to instruct another and tell them “This is how you can know the Lord”.No. ALL will know Him, from the lest to the greatest. And the monsters will stop being CEO’s admired by men, and become servants, laying down their lives for their flock.

Does this sound too good to be true?  Nevertheless, this is what God is beginning to do. We can wait until the world is aflmaecto join in, or, if we are hungey enough, we can light our lamp today, and before we go to bed be walking in total peace and rest. But know this, every single sheep WaiLL hear Hos voice, and if needed, God will chase down the one who has strayed far from God, and bring him back, carrying him on Hos broad shoulders, with all the angels rejoicing.

Blessings,

Gideon

14 minutes ago, Davida said:

What is Branhamism?Branhamism, William Branham

(Latter rain movement came out of the teachings of false prophet-> William M. Branham)

Question: "What is Branhamism? Who was William Branham?"

Answer:
The term Branhamism refers to the teachings of the “prophet” William M. Branham (1909–1965), although those who follow his teaching would not necessarily like the term. His followers might refer to themselves as Branhamites or Message Believers. They believe that William Branham, or “Brother Branham,” was the final prophet to the church, in fulfillment of Malachi 4:5. Branham, who was quite influential in the heretical Latter Rain Movement, was to be the one to restore the church to the true apostolic faith.

William Branham was born in 1909 in Cumberland County, Kentucky. He says his parents told him that a light hovered over him in his cradle. He claims to have had a revelation from God at the age of 3. After a nearly fatal accident, he claimed to have heard a voice—another revelation from God—and at that point he began to seek God. He got involved in the Pentecostal movement and eventually was ordained as an Independent Baptist minister, although he endorsed the teachings of Oneness Pentecostalism. He claimed to have regular visions and revelations from God.

Branham began a healing ministry in 1946 and as a faith healer made a number of incredible, high-profile claims that were later disputed or refuted (as the subjects of the healings died). He said that the same angel who followed the Israelites in the wilderness followed him—he even claimed to have captured this angel on film. The photographic “evidence” shows a kind of halo over Branham while he was preaching. In the mid-1950s, his following began to decline, and with the decline came more and more controversial and sensational teachings.

On Christmas Eve 1965, William Branham died as a result of injuries in a car accident. At first his followers thought he would be raised from the dead, and his burial was postponed. Finally, he was buried on April 11, 1966 (and has not been heard or seen since, except for messages recorded before his death). Branham is buried under a large pyramidal tombstone in Jefferson, Indiana. On one side of the tombstone are the names of the seven churches in Revelation, and on the opposite side are the names of the churches’ “angels,” which Branham and his followers interpreted to be various ages of the church and the primary minister to the church in that age:

The Ephesian Age – Paul
The Smyrnean Age – Ireneaus
The Pergamean Age – Martin of Tours
The Thyatirean Age – Columba
The Sardisean Age – Martin Luther
The Philadelphian Age – John Wesley
The Laodicean Age – William Branham

On the front of the tombstone are inscribed the following: “BEHOLD I WILL SEND YOU THE PROPHET BEFORE THE COMING OF THE GREAT AND DREADFUL DAY OF THE LORD” and “BUT IN THE DAYS OF THE VOICE OF THE SEVENTH ANGEL WHEN HE SHALL BEGIN TO SOUND, THE MYSTERY OF GOD SHOULD BE FINISHED, AS HE HATH DECLARED TO HIS SERVANTS THE PROPHETS.”

As evidenced by his tombstone, Branham saw himself as the seventh angel to the church of Laodicea—the apostate church of the end times.

There is no single “Branhamite denomination” or central headquarters. In fact, Branham taught that members of denominational churches had taken the mark of the beast. There are a number of groups today that still follow William Branham. These range widely in belief in practice.

One group, “Branham Christ” goes so far as to say that Christ is the “Alpha” and William Branham is the “Omega” and that Jesus is the “Only Begotten Son” and William Branham is the “First Begotten Son.” It is clear from their official website that they see Jesus and Branham as equal if not equivalent. Another group believes that Branham will be resurrected first and then call for the return of Christ. Another group listens to the recorded messages of William Branham as their only teaching. And there is at least one group that has great respect for Branham’s teachings but has attempted to correct them.

The teachings of William Branham are a bit jumbled and contradictory and difficult to categorize. But some of the most controversial doctrines are as follows: modalism (God exists as only one Person but reveals Himself in different modes), baptism in the name of Jesus only (believers baptized using the Trinitarian formula must be re-baptized), the serpent seed doctrine (Eve’s sin in the Garden was having sex with the snake), annihilationism (hell is not a place of everlasting punishment), Word Faith (sometimes dubbed “name it and claim it”), the idea that the zodiac and the Egyptian pyramids are equal to written Scripture, and of course his own exalted place in the plan of God and the history of the church along with his exaggerated claims to miraculous revelation and healing abilities.

Added to Branham’s occultism and heretical, anti-Trinitarian teaching is his false prophecy. Branham made a “personal prediction” that the end of the world would occur in or before 1977. The teachings of William Branham are a jumble of bad theology, twisted Scripture passages, and personal pride. Christians would do well to steer clear.

I appreciate your sharing, but just because others have used the term does not mean they are correct. It is still to come and the first drops are hear. It will be a time of refreshing. It will be a time when we escape Romans 7 and discover the glorious liberty of the children of God in Romans 8. It is for all who love the Lord in sincerity, and all will eventually come. But we are told it will be from the weakest to the greatest, and in that order.

It will be the broken who will fall on rheir knees first, those who cannot take another step without relief, those who are bound by sin they hate and a self that refuses to abdicate the throne. But eventually all will respond and the church shall shine again in glory, joy and love.

Thanks for sharing.

Gideon

Brother, I respectfully disagree. Are you saying we are letting our lights shine just as those in the early church did? The ones who turned the entire world upside down? The ones where people said “Look how they love one another!” Really?

Think what you are saying. The same God who changes not struck down Ananias and Saphira just for a small lie about land they sold. It was their land. All they did is look a little better by the lie. And it cost them their lives! Honestly, if that same standard were held up to today’s Christians, how many would show up for service with confidence this coming Sunday.

Let’s be honest here. Without that, we can go no further. The divorce rate in the world is about 50%. And in the church? 50%. Look, if husbands and wives cannot remain together, what chance do we have in loving our neighbor? The world has infiltrated our thinking. We look at the same tv shows, we buy the same things trying to make our lives meaningful. Our prayer closets are for the most part empty and our commitment consists for most as  a ninety minute service once a week.

I remember a story about a condemned prisoner in England who was to be executed. As they walked to the gallows led by a tired Priest recitibf last rites, the prisoner stopped the man and asked him if he believed  in heaven and hell. The man of God replied that indeed he did. The condemned man responded “ If I believed what you say you believe, though all of England were covered with shards of broken glass, I would crawl across it on my knees if necessary to save just one from such a fate.”

That statement should suffice to prick the hardest of consciences. And if it is not, there is nothing more I can say to convince you that we are not even close to being ready and that we ought to be praying the following prayer:

”Lord, please, I beg you, do not come today! Members of my own family will be lost forever. My children, my friends, my co-workers! Oh Lord, restore that which the cankerworm has eaten in my walk with you. Give me again my sight and let me stand in the gap for the lost till all those called come to the saving knowledge of you! Set me free from my sin so that my light will shine so brightly that they will want what I have. Forgive my contentm ent without godliness and let me taste of the glorious liberty of the children of God that you have promised. O, Lord, not today! Not yet!”

The question is... will we pray it?

Blessing,

Gideon

Lord, please, I beg you, do not come today! Members of my own family will be lost forever. My children, my friends, my co-workers!

But this approach was not the early churches approach.    they said we should be looking and hastning unto that coming day.

I agree we want people saved .    but this is why we preach the gospel and correct errors.

Even so COME LORD JESUS , was how John ends that book .   SO I say,   Rise up and proclaim the WORD of the LORD , which is the gospel .

May a flame be lit that sets us here in western socities back on fire for the Lord .    I do want to see

more folks waking up .    We all should .   AND its only BY HIM we can do anything .    So cast aside the sin which does so easily beset , and run the race .

If we are HIS , it is SEEN.    And if we are HIS it is also heard.  by the proclaiming of the gospel and correcting and efiying of the body.

Onward through the trenches people .    As the darkness gets only darker ,  HIS LIGHT shines only brighter for those who are HIS .

The VICTORY IS IN CHRIST and let all who names the name of Christ depart from inquity ,  heed THE SPIRIT ,   and proclaim his name to all that has breath

THAT HE alone is the ONLY savoir and all other mindsets and religions are in darkness and know him not .

Proclaim to the lost that their is HOPE and this HOPE is FOUND ONLLY IN THE SON .   be a witness of Christ by the Spirit of Christ that is within.

Proclaim to the lost that they are in dire danger and that the only way out IS CHRIST .     NOW SOUND the alarm for all to hear and may it resonate round the world peoples .

Many will fall away ,  but some will hear and repent. TIMES will get far worse , but our joy can no man take .

The message of the gospel must sound throughout the earth , and their are still some doing that today.

Those who hear and receive the gospel will be saved , but those who reject will be damned .   The gospel IS what needs to be sounded

as well as the vines need to bear fruit and mature .   onward through the valleys and over the hills ,  the church will be persecuted harshlly

but a persecuted church IS NOT a defeated church,  the trials of our faith we only increase the fruits .    SO praise the LORD peoples .
