1 John 5:18 (NASB)
We know that no one who is born of God sins; but He who was born of God keeps him, and the evil one does not touch him..

This I talking about the New Creation. “no one who is born of God sins”.

For the new creation is under the “law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus” and can not sin. This is how great our salvation is in Christ. Total, complete in every area. Lacking in nothing.  All God asks is, that we believe it. Yes, it is that great! A victorious Christian life is for all that wish for it. Yes it is possible. Yes, it is for  all believers. Yes, yes, yes. But it will only be found by those that hunger and thirst for it. But first they must know it’s for them. Than they can choose for themselves if they want it or not. But yes “not I but Christ” is the path forward, to all that wish to find it. For “Christ in us” is our “hope of glory” today, as for all eternity

“for the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set us free from the law of sin and death”

and this is accomplished by;

“reckoning ourselfs dead onto sin, but alive onto God”

Much love in Christ, Not me

You don't sin anymore?

No, not any “sins onto death” those that don’t bring, death yes. But none that bring death. At least not in the last 10-15 years or so. Ever since the Lord showed me what it meant to be “dead onto sin but alive onto God”.  But I had to be brought to the place where I was willing to enter into death rather than sin. That was when freedom from sin was found. But the glory and freedom that was waiting for me and all that are willing to give up their lives unto death.

These are spiritual truths that only God can reveal to the heart of the believer. I don’t ask you to believe because I say so. I ask that you go to God and ask Him if there is any truth in the things I have written. For only life can bring life. And a increase in Christ is the only thing of any importantance.

Much love in Christ, Not me

You do not find Jesus keeps you from falling and never allows you to be tempted above that which you are able to withstand?  Has He not promised that our shield of faith would quench all the fiery arrows of the enemy? Has He not delivered us from the power of darkness? Are we not clearly told that we are not in the flesh and owe it nothing?

Here is what is happening. You read that somehow, Notme or I have achieved sinlessness. Right? I mean, what other way is there?? But what men are missing is that God has told us all in His Word that He is the one who will keep us from falling. This is not an “achievement” in our lives. In all humility, in myself, I am probably worse than all here.  I deserve NOTHING. But God, in His mercy, showed me eleven years ago what I had been missing.

You see, I had never truly believed that the old me was dead. I thought it was somehow my job to kill it. And because of my unbelief, I left a door open for Satan to continue to harass me and cause me to fall.... again and again. But when we, by faith, cast aside our old nature as DEAD, and then  put on our new man, to our joy and amazement, we discover that God meant every single one of those promises. But here is the catch. They only work on our new nature.

Has He not plainly told is that if we abide in Him, we will not fulfill the lusts of the flesh? So, what good is that if it is impossible to abide in Him?? We should be shocked that we still are falling to the same old sins again and again, not that we can walk in victory over them, amen?

Do not mistake walking free from sin with perfection. Getting free from sin by putting off our old nature just means we are finally centered on the potters wheel, so real transformation can begin! Impatience must be shaped into patience. But impatience is not sin, not if when the Holy Spirit checks us, we immediately stop. And praise a God, we CAN stop in the new man. Now, if we simply override His correction, THEN we have sinned. But as to willfully going  against the revealed will of God, it is not only possible, it is promised!

Blessings,

Gideon

Hello Gideon,

Would you mind sharing where you get all your information about the coming awakening and 2th half of the gospel?

Are you Universalist or connected to the New Dawn religion?

Not a chance. We are entering the valley of decision and here the choice will be made.

Us.... or God in us.

In Luke 17 in the parable of the talents, after the angry master took back from the slothful servant what had been given to him (boy, that doesn’t exactly mesh with today’s popular take on the gospel, does it?) here is what He then said.

“Then bring all those who would not have me to reign over them, and slay them before me.”

Whoa!  Do we all remember when Jesus said that if we try to save our life, we will lose it? Or when He said that we must hate OUR life to find His life in us? There is our fly in the ointment. This is why our Christianity looks nothing like it did in the book of Acts. We have never figured out how to get rid of self.

What we have missed is that we can put off our old natures by faith, because when Christ died, our old natures, the ones incapable of obeying, or loving, or of ceasing from sinning, died with Him! Glory to God! And when Christ rose from the dead to newness of life, we are told that we did too! We are new! Sin has no more hold on us!

But there is a catch. You see, I knew all this. Heck, I had Romans 6-8 memorized. But when God appeared to me eleven years ago and showed me why I had failed for 38 years, it changed everything. What had I missed? I had never acted on those two truths and by faith, made them MY truths. And when I did, I found victory over sins that had bound me for all those years. I found God developing fruit in me whereas before, I was barren. I found I loved God with ALL of my heart, rather than with a percentage of it.

What I share is not my message, but His. This is what is happening. Just as fortold in the parable of the ten virgins, all the virgins slept, both the wheat and the tares. ALL. None know how to walk in holiness unto the Lord because in our minds, that is something we have to do, and we can’t do it.

And all will awake, as this truth of who we really are sweeps over us. The tares will reject it, thus the great falling away. We think it is happening already? We have not seen anything yet. But praise God, the wheat will awaken and when they hear the message, what will they do? They will light their lamps! They will cast off their soiled rags and clothe themselves with their new natures .....by faith!

The church was not born in power and love, sweeping over the world like an out of control fire, only to be rescued at the end of the age, splintered into 500 bickering denominations, with all His children walking in defeat. What did Paul say if that is us? Are you not yet carnal? And guess what? We are! But we are not going to stay that way. We will go out with a blaze of glory, victorious over the world, the flesh and the devil .

And how will this amazing thing be accomplished? We will finally combine the blood of the lamb with the words of OUR testimony, where every single one of us can say “I am crucified with Christ, yet not I, but Christ now live the in me.” And mean it.

Does that sound new age? LOL. If you have any other questions, I will do my best to answer them if they are not just asked to toss barbs my way. To any reading this, if you really have serious questions, feel free to message me and I will answer.

Blessings, sister

Gideon....Not to be nosy but may I ask if you are married......if so , what does your wife think of your “ holiness”....somebody that sees you outside of this site and knows the “ real “ you.

Personally, I have gone way beyond holiness....in fact, I am perfect.....The Lord of The Universe  gave me the

perfection of His Son and gave His Son  my sins.......what a deal! Makes me want to do good.Love is a better motivator than fear

You are no different than anybody else here.....if you knew me the way God knows me you would vomit all over your keyboard. If I knew you as God does I would do the same.Like me,you have secret 5houghts that would shame Hell.......so please get over yourself and face the truth......we’ll know perfection on the Other Side......when we are loosed from these earthen vessels.

Just now, Davida said:

God appeared to you?  as in a form? and told you what exactly?

Just now, Davida said:

God appeared to you?  as in a form? and told you what exactly?

Yes. Eleven years ago, at my lowest point, battling anger, and a debilitating addiction to pornography, I cried out to God and told Him that His way was too hard, too high, impossible. And I could not do it.  You see, no matter how I tried, I could not escape the standard I saw in the Word. Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God. Without holinesss, no man shall see the Lord.  I understood grace, but I saw that our positional holiness had to somehow become the real thing, and I was out of answers.

And..... God appeared. No face, no body. Light. Blinding golden light that put me on my face. And He spoke. Yes, audibly. This was no vision. It was a visitation. And yes, I am fully aware of the rolled eyes, and “here we go’s”, lol. Heck, I would be if it were someone else! But it happened.

So what did He say, as I was bowed low, crying in fear, terror, amazement joy and awe?

“For this, my son, I am well pleased”

Whhhaaattt?? If this makes no sense to you, you can imagine what was going through my head. I had wanted to feel like I was pleasing Him for 38 years as a Christian, and not once did I, not even close. And now? Now when I am admitting defeat? When I am telling Him I can’t obey Him? Now He tells me this, at my lowest?

But He continued. And what He then said explained everything.

“I knew all along that you could not walk the walk I have for you, but you did not yet know it. “

Did you catch it? That glorious word yet. I had finally figured it out. I could not walk holy before Him , given 38 lifetimes, let alone years. I had come to the point I had no strength. I had come to the point I hated myself and my weakness for sin. That is what pleased Him.

But He did not stop there. He continued.

“In all your trying, did you ever do what I told you to do through my servant Paul?”

And in an instant, He simply removed the blinders from my eyes. I saw with laser clarity what I had missed and what I had to do.

It was found in Romans 6, right after Paul telling us there are two things we MUST know.

1) When Christ died, we died with Him.

2) Whwn Christ rose from the dead, He brought us up with Him to newness of life.

Ok. So what? I knew that. I had it memorized. But what had I missed. The next verse. The one where Paul tells us we must DO something with those truths. We have to make them OUR truths. We have to appropriate them as facts for us, now, today, the very minute. We have to reckon ourselves dead to sin and alive unto God.

In an instantI saw it. I had fail to activate those truths. I had the blood of the lamb but had never combined it with the words of my...MY.. testimony. So, what did I do?

I spoke. Out loud. LOUDLY out loud. I spoke loud enough for all the angels in heaven and the demons in hell could hear. But most importantly, I spoke loud enough for my own ears to hear the truth.

“I am a new creature in Christ. The old me, he died when Christ died. I reckon him as dead, not needing to die. I confess I am a new creature in Christ, and sin has no more hold  on me. I yield myself now to God as one who is alive from the dead.”

And with that, everything changed. In a heartbeat. My battle with sin changed into my good fight of faith. And in eleven years, as I have believed Him ,He has done exactly what He has promised us to do. He keeps us from falling.

I gotta get some sleep, it is late, but this is my story in a nutshell. It has not “passed” or faded away. It has gotten stronger. What I share works. The only catch? We have to really hate our old sin nature and long to be freed from its grip, just as Paul was in Romans 7.

Many assume I just must be crazy. I get it, But I am not. The scriptures are there. The promises are clear. But our flesh does not want to die. So it blinds us to the truth. But we WILL be awakened in these last days to who we are and as we finally agree with our God, and with our weak, mustard seed faith, plant it and believe, to our amazement and delight we will discover the second half of the good news, that it is God who will cause us t phill AND to do of His good pleasure.

Blessings,

Gids

Now I have question for you ,what if I'm not saved how would you witness to me of what I should do to be awakened so I sin no more?when does my awakening come or not? When is this occasion you're talking about happening, how will I know it's the right thing?

Where should I go for answers?

Excuse me for asking, but are you saved? I am assuming yes. Then if so, why this question? Just curious....

Hi, I hope this finds you well. As I’m sure you know, a person could not be considered to be “saved” unless they were born again. This birth is real, and that which comes to life is called the “New Creation” in scripture. Scripture also says “that which is born of God sins not”. It is the New Creation that can not sin.

The verse that you barely quoted correctly is I John 3:9 and it is talking about the habitual practice of sin.  It does not mean that a Christian cannot commit a sin.  Rather it is simply stating that we are not caught up in a lifestyle sinning.

Quote

To separate the New Creation from holiness or sanctification cannot be done because the New Creation is that life in the believer, that causes the believer to be sanctified or made holy.  I believe the OP was trying to bring forth the “how”,  according to scripture,  one might bring this manifestion of holiness to be brought  forth in their life. This manifestion of holiness is called in scripture  “putting on Christ” or “Christ being formed”in the believer. For the direct  purpose of causing the believer to walk a victorious Christian life. A life that is holy and set apart by God, where victory over the “old man” and his deeds is manifested in the life of the believer.  This is accomplished by the putting off the old nature and putting on that which does not sin. (the new creation). In scripture this is put forth a couple of ways one being what the OP was trying to bring forth. “ reckon yourself dead onto sin but alive onto God”. Another way this same truth is put forth is “I have been crucified with Christ, it is no longer I that live but Christ that lives in me” same truth just different words.

Holiness is not sinlessness when it comes to the Christian.   If being a Christian means that we live without committing a single sin, we would not need Jesus making intercession for us, and we would not need Jesus to be our advocate before the Father.

But this was not my purpose for my post. It was being discussed what the Gospel or the “Good News” was. So I brought forth when it was first spoken of by God. (Which was in Genesis.) Seeing how when it was first spoken about  with these words, “the seed of the woman shall bruise the serpent’s head”. That this was the first speaking of the Good News, all things must have been included in it. The whole process  of Christ. That which would be necessary to undo the fall of Adam and to restore man to his unfallen state.

Much love in Christ, Not me

the good news is simply that Jesus Christ has made a way for us to come to the Father.  It is the message that our sins were paid for and that we can be forgiven, cleansed and made new through the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross.  The Gospel is encapsulated in John 3:16.    God loves us, Jesus died for us and if we trust in Him, He will save us and keep us saved.
