Here in Houston, the Rockets have "family night" Bring your kids and get free hot dogs. My 2 youngest sons are 15 and 10. We all love basketball and enjoy getting an opportunity to watch T-Mac do his thing on the court. My youngest son is 10 and has already played 6 seasons of basketball including year around basketball school. The thing that bothers me is when the "Rockets Dancers" come out on the court they are wearing next to nothing and dancing in a way that suggests something other than "go team". Its ridiculous. I don't even go anymore because of it. I just wanted my boys to see some good basketball. Not a strip show. I feel that it might send the wrong message to young boys about women and send the wrong message to young girls about how they should look? Am I being a stick in the mud? Or should the NBA and NFL tone it down a little with these cheerleaders. My wife was not happy either. Dan

Yeah some of their outfits are way too revealing I might say. It really doesn't personally bother me but the NBA and NFL needs to remember that children are watching too! Amber was watching this last night and I caught this 7yr odl girl wearing a sleaveless top that was exposing her entire abdomen, what kind of modesty are our children being taught from the start here? She was also doing a tap dance that had some moves I would of considered suggestive. Another example, my wife's brother is 12yrs old, we went to a talent show he was involved in last Tuesday, one of the performances of the talent show was a Girl in a tight dress that went maybe 2 inches down her thighs doing a very suggestive dance, oh yeah this followed the singing of amazing grace So where does it all start? and please when will it all end God Bless, Dave

Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned: Romans 5:12 and it will end with this... In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. 1 Cor. 15: 52 <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Amen sister! Let's pray he comes quickly, because if it continues to decline at the rate it has been, there will be brothels on every corner in 10 years. Its still a great game and still can be a positive thing for kids. I wish David Stern wouldn't allow this nonsence. Dan

Stay stuck in the mud and protect your young ones along with yourself. I'll bet your wife would not be comfortable sitting beside you and I know you would not be comfortable....... so just stay a stick in the mud and maybe you'll have a lot less heartache when those boys grow up, and a wife who looks up to you and appreciates your concern...... se
