Sister @turtletwo, I'm so blessed by this poem!  I wish I could give it many thumbs up... "praise the Lord!"  ... "thumbs up" .... "loved it!" .... "brilliant" .... "thanks"  .... "this is worthy!"  May I share this with a friend?

And now a reminder for us all.    Paul had told timothy how to guide the church .  He had wrote him two letters .    Explaining to not be partakers of others mens sins

but rather to exppose them .    And years after paul had been executed ,  and timothy had grown in maturity ,   on a certain day

in his latter years ol timothy , faithful to the call ,  HAD DONE JUST THAT .     He was not going to be partaker of other mens sins , HE chose to expose and rebuke it .

YES ,  timothy had learned well by the SPIRIT and pauls reminders .     And as men and women were going about honoring a pagan festival ,  Timothy did not

dress up like them .   HE rebuked them ,      AND THEY KILLED HIM FOR IT .  HE WENT OUT FAITHFUL , YET TODAY churches celebarate HALLOWEEN .  EVERY MAN WOMAN

and Child , SHOULD CRY right now .    CRY .     cause timothy DIED doing what was right , YET TODAY many celebrate an upmost evil Halloween .      I HOPE this sinks in so deep

foks lay  in the prone and plead forgivness and have a good long cry .     TIMOTHY DIED rebuking evil and yet most today christanize evil .    THIS IS SO WRONG and EVIL .

Where's the atmosphere of fear
On this unholy 'holiday'?
While the church turns a blind eye
And pretends it's child's play?

Satan and his minions laugh
At the flippancy expressed,
As the church believes a lie
And his schemes go unaddressed.

Who's the mastermind behind
This dark time of Hell-oween,
When it's in the name of 'fun'
So much wickedness is seen?

The grotesque and the bizzare
Get exalted every year;
Yet the cuter costumes counter
And distract away from fear.

The author of confusion
Does that thing he does so well;
For when he appears angelic
The mixed messages prevail.

Is the candy so inviting?
Is the 'innocence' so sweet?
Can we do it for God's glory?
(What the world calls 'Trick or Treat")

The occult becomes so active.
It's a time to watch and pray;
But the 'ostrich head is in the sand'
Within the church this day.

May the ones whose eyes are opened
Do their best to stand above
All the compromised excuses.
May we "speak the truth in love."

Hi Turtletwo

Love your poem! I should send it to my daughter. It would only infuriate her. Shes heard it all before but doesnt listen. I hate helloween. Satans glory and God is angry his children are so blind.

Ill tell you a story. Earlier this week a new friend here in the bible belt(I am new to this area, this culture) came over to fellowship and share a meal. When she was leaving she mentioned handing out candy on helliween. She was contemplating what costume she would wear. She bought a bunch of candy weeks ago.I could have said something but I didnt.Quite frankly I was shocked! How can she be so blind?

She teaches sunday school attends church regularly . We have already gone at it over billy grahams dual salvific message. She is in a bubble. All the people here in billy graham land are. It is just another thing that separates us though.Maybe by next yrs helloween I will have known ger long enough for her to lustento me. Maybe by next yr she will see. Ill just keep praying. People that hear it and dont change won't hear until God deals with their hearts. He is the one who sanctifies.

I will not have my porch light on on satans day. I dont recognize helloween. Plaster a churchy name on it and call it a day. Ie sprinkle a little Jesus in and surely its christian?!. :(

I know what you mean. Thanks for sharing your interesting (albeit sad) story about this new friend and also the Billy Graham thing.

Isn't it amazing, people, how the world just "joins in" without even questioning this vile practice?  And "Christians" too!  It is so wicked.  I can't understand why any church would condone joining in with this; it is so blatantly of the occult!  Our supermarkets, cheap novelty stores etc. all have stuff for sale.  It sickens me.  We have put signs outside our house stating that we do not participate.

Good on you turtletwo.  This is a really good poem!  I really like your poems very much:emot-nod:

I remember being in 7th grade...Baptist church in Illinois...it was my idea even---smh--we built a haunted house right down in the basement-I know, I was just a kid..and the adults should have known better- I've prayed many times about it and I know God has forgiven me for starting that there...

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
