Perhaps we should go to where the rubber meets the road.  Here is what is really being debate.  Is obedience to scripture optional?  I am labeled a legalist for daring to say we should obey scripture by those making excuses why we shouldn't.

To obey scripture or not obey.  That is the question.

No that is not the question actually.

The question is why cant you interpret scripture properly?

You fail to recognize culture and temporal commands in scripture.

What is sad is that we have people in the church world telling others that portions of the Bible are not really God's Word, but are just cultural.  What is sad is church members leading others into the pits of hell by telling them they are free to disobey Christ, Paul and other portions of scripture.

Pits of hell? You think hair length condemns a person to hell? Yes or no will do

If what you claim is true, then the Bible is not the inerrant Word of God.  You can't have it both ways.  I actually believe the Bible is God's Word.  That is what makes me different from others that post in this forum.

Red herring. This has nothing to do with believing Gods words. This has to do with your twisting scripture to fit your legalistic viewpoint.

Yes. I do agree that you are different alright!

Hair length?  No, but this issue goes deeper than hair length.

No it doesnt.

In your misled natural mind it may.

Then why dont you follow all the traditions within the various cultures of the biblical times?

If you are going to blindly follow one cultural tradition; why not all the others?

Hermeneutics.

The way we should view the canon ,  is that even the things that wont condemn a person , like head covering ,  still should be the preferred choice .

As of yet , not one person has said that if a women has short hair she is condemened .   not one person said this .

Had they , I would have corrected .   This subject is something that should get taught , but when folks wont receive it  we drop it .

However , I have seen folks do something very dangerous .   They take other things that were also in the law , things that can destroy one , and make it void .

And I watch them use grace as an excuse .   The thing is any grace that would make void the law , is not grace .   Now I aint talking about meats , drinks , days , moons , Sabbath days

ceremonial worship .   Those are dictated only in the conscious of a person .    I am talking about blatant disregaurd to the law itself .

And hollering we under grace , YET using grace to omit , make void , transgress .

I guess a simple example would be some that remarry CONTRARY to JESUS .

Or those who show where eating crawfish was an abomination and turn around to justify man with man now .

The fact is ,  paul was right .   it is a shame , it is a dishonor for a man to have long hair or a woman to pray or prophesy with her head uncovered .

fact .

Its also a fact their is no custom and thus if after warning about it ,  if folks wont receive it ,   I move on .   NO need for contention over that issue due to paul

himself said let no man be contentious about this and that their is no custom .

Now as for men coming in with sun dresses ,  YEAH that is a massive sin , because the law does say men ought not dress up in womens attire .

A Scottish man can wear a kilt .   its not a dress .    but a sun dress ,  yeah that is abomination .   And rebuke them before all.

The hair length ,  just aint an issue for me .    OH ,   I will remind if I am led too .  but wont fight over it if one wont hear .

But , if its a real sin issue ,   YEP , that gonna be corrected and I bodly refuse to keep any company with the disobedient believer .

till they repent .

What concerns me , is when folks start omitting  , transgressing other parts of the law , WHICH IS SIN .

This should have long ago been dropped .   But here we go and here we stay and folks accusing some of accusations that aint even true .

No question about it......God wants us to obey Him.Obedience is so important to God that He will let you be damned if choose to ignore His Word.If we are disobedient about small matters such as hair length, etc. one will not go to Hell if they disobey .We need to put first things first .The first and most important act of obedience is the act that will get you saved. When the disciples asked Jesus how to gain Eternal Life, He COULD have responded in a thousand different ways.He could have told them to make sure their hair length was proper......He could have said keep the 613 Laws and if you mess up make sure you keep your repentance ledger up to date before you die, because if there is just ONE sin overlooked and especially one willful sin that you neglected to repent of —- you are bound for Hell. My Bible says that Jesus said, “ BELIEVE on the One God sent” To be OBEDIENT to THAT is what saves, so let’s make sure we do that before we look at other ways to be obedient, lest everything else be done for nothing.Obedience in this Age of Grace is to believe the Gospel Paul, revealed in 1cor15:1-4. If you hear that Gospel and believe it ALONE for your Salvation , God will put His Spirit in you and and your desires will change. Even that very desire to be good and to strive to be obedient is a gift of the Holy Spirit. Now that you are a child of God , He will start to work on your inside and this will cause you to be obedient.....you will WANT to obey God and with His Spirit guiding you  , you will find yourself doing the things that please God —- it is a response that comes from Love, instead of a response that is given out of fear that relies on fear and uses will-power to perform the changes that only God can perform with His power of TRANSFORMING you.Only God can do that.We can fool others by changing the outside of the cup, but God does not fool with that— He gets to the heart of the problem— your inside.God will use a combination of His Grace and His chastisement to work to form you into the image of His Son. There will be ups and downs on this journey and it takes time. Its like launching a rocket ship to the moon. If it gets off course we nudge it this way and we nudge it that way. We don’t let it crash to the ground just because it got a little off- course. This little analogy shows us the value of obedience. The more off course we get on our obedience, the stronger that “nudge” is gonna  be.A big act of disobedience will get a big nudge of   chastisement.God knows how to keep us on course.

So obedience for the unsaved man is to be obedient to the Gospel to get saved.Obedience to the saved man is a response to the Grace of God.How can we continue to disobey the One who loved us enough to die in our place. The wiser you are, the more obedient you will be— unless you enjoy being punished.Obedience to 613 Laws never saved anybody and never kept anybody saved.Obedience is wise and pleasing to God—— He will bless you for it.When you go beyond that and claim that obedience keeps you saved....you have become a Judaizer.A Legalist. You pervert the simple Gospel of Grace.Scary ground if you know your Bible

While it is true its a shame for a man to have long hair or etc .

Gluttony is an actual sin .    If any man cannot abstain and over eats ,   MY fast and serious advice is ,   Start dieting now .   cut back

and take care of Gods temple  .    That is a far more serious issue .     So lets ENCOURAGE and warn too,  if any has got to a place where they over over weight ,

lets cut back fast and start dieting .

The mention of shaved heads in numbers is the word of God as well. Should we apply the laws the nazarites adhered to as well?

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
