Perhaps Galatians 3:26-28 is an answer to the question.

For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.

We are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. Having accepted Him as Lord and Saviour, we rely on Him for justification and salvation, and admitted into this happy relation to God, and are entitled to the privileges of it. (John 1:12).

When Jesus comes again we shall see Him as He is (Spirit), for we shall be like Him.

Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be; but we know that, when He shall appear, we shall be like Him; for we shall see Him as He is. (1Jn 3:2)

When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with Him in glory. (Col. 3:4)

Flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; and mortality must put on immortality. (1Cor. 15:50,53,54).

So by faith, He is the bridegroom and we are His bride, (virgins), by faith. (Matt.25:1-6).

They that worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth. (John 4:24)

Can't speak for the OP, but for me, it's not the Scriptures I wonder about, but how it translates into life. For me as a woman, the thought of being the LORD's bride fits naturally. But I wonder how a man sees it?

If that makes sense?

Well Fiosh:

Maybe the roles get a little blurry; I mean, I'm the 'bride' of Christ, and YOU are 'son of God.' I would rather imagine we have a similar perspective in our love of Jesus. And although I am too bald to 'wipe His feet with my hair,' I do indeed bow at them for mercy, and weep for my sinfulness.......

Shalom everybody

From the scriptures I understand that God created man, male and female...

genesis 1:27

So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

(Matt 19:4 Mark 10:6 )

I mean, in this side of eternity I am a man....and I find answers in Jesus as a man...I have no idea how a woman relates to Him...but then I learn from the Book that in Christ there is no more male or female etc..but a relationship with God in THE SPIRIT...cause God IS SPIRIT ..John 4:

23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.

24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

It is interesting that Jesus is talking to a woman here...the Samaritan woman at the well......

I am sure that Jesus knows and understands far better than anyone the particular needs and conditions of men and women and that He is more than capable, being GOD-MAN to meet all humanity needs...It is marvellous that god came down to us as a man....cause we couldn't go to Him for sure..no matter how many religious devices people can try....there is no chance for sinful man to even conceive God ...thats why we need His incarnation and revelation and HIS GRACE...

We believe in Him,talk of Him,pray to Him,we are saved eternally because of HIS GRACE....because HE IS SO GOOD........

I know that nobody in this world knows me intimately neither understands me or can relate to me,no nobody, not even myself but JESUS,my Maker and Saviour...

we tend to rely on people or things or religions etc...but sooner or later we discover that everything and everybody fails,I am the first to fail...but JESUS NEVER FAILS and HIS LOVE and GRACE NEVER FAILS too...and that is my strenght...HE IS MY STRENGHT...and nothing else nor nobody else.

I know that if Jesus wouldn't have come to save me I would be long dead now....

Life has disappointed so much in so many ways to the point of total despair...I would have committed suicide a 1000 times if wasn't for JESUS,HIS SPIRIT,HIS WORD and I am so thankful to HIM and also for the fact that He has HIS BODY,the believers, here on earth that are fellow pilgrims on the journey to HIM..and that is a consolation...yes even if we believers don't always express the perfection of our GOD( starting with me)..still it is a blessing from Him that there are other believers,male,female...but in reality all children of God..and John says:

Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.

2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.

3 And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure

So male or female we can find salvation, and hope in Christ for this life yes...but much more for what is coming...and HE IS COMING! :)

Maranatha :)

Seriously, though, thank you all for your comments, brothers.

I love to hear the male perspective of spirituality!

You guys are great.

Love,

Your sister

I, too, have pondered Fiosh's question.

How does a male relate to being "the bride of Christ"?

I mean, I know how to be a bride, but how does a guy know how to be a bride?

Has it not been said by someone you know- Marry your best friend? I am a woman, but I look at Jesus as more like a best friend, a mentor, someone to look up to like an older brother, personally. It says we are all God's children, and are brothers and sisters in and with Christ.

Even as a female, I personally have a hard time relating my relationship with Jesus as like a romantic "bride" type thing? I love Jesus like a best friend, and like a brother.

No greater love has a man that he would lay down his life for his friends...

Great question, Fiosh.

I look to Him for protection when I sin

I love the way you put that - protection. :emot-hug:

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

      Shalom everyone,

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
