I'm ignorant as to how this is theologically fruitful? I mean this sincerely. Not wanting to cause debate but just asking for further understanding. What does all this mean?

On any forum open to the whole world and to every different school there is,  what all this means is not found in any of the different schools.

Yahweh in His Word says if any man lacks wisdom, let him ask of Yahweh Who Gives To all men generously and without reproach....

And again:   Yahweh REVEALS everything about SALVATION to little children....

and again:   Jesus' Sheep HEAR HIS VOICE and FOLLOW HIM .... and will not listen to another nor will they/we/ follow another.....

Every bit of TORAH is unchanged and unchanging and unchangeable - Yahweh'S WORD is TRUTH, FOREVER.   No jot nor tittle will change ....  thus

if anyone or anything changes (tries to change His Word)  ,  it is not Yahweh nor His Word, 

but someone/ something opposed to His Word.....

I'd say that first and foremost it means that most modern exegetical explorations of the texts of Revelation have been simplified for convenience, simplified to the point that most folks don't even know what a nomen sacrum even is

That methodology of hermeneutics in itself conveniently sweeps roughly 4,000 years of history and literary notations regarding divinity and divine rule, right off the table, which is doing nobody any favors. It has essentially reduced the Bible to having the simplicity of a Dr. Seuss book, for whatever reasons deemed sufficient, including the denial of volumes of ancient literature, tradition and history or their roles in the origins of the Bible ( Which I have found is far more complex and interesting than people have made it out to be )

Obviously NT authors and scribes felt it important enough to preserve in writing, much in the way that Jews preserved abnormal letters in Torah when they hand write a Sefer Torah

Secondly, as I stated in a previous post, both 666 and 144,000 are used in the times prior to the Bible for astronomy calculations, mainly regarding eclipses, but to really delve into the topic, one must be educated in mathematics, math history, mathematical astronomy and metrology used by priest-kings in Mesopotamia ( As well as Egyptian Pharaohs ) dating back to the earliest Sumerian city-states and pre-cuneiform ideograms

I personally don't buy into the twaddle about microchip implants

Most of the population is lost anyway,  even before the mark if it is implanted or tattooed ,

so the mark will not change their status   ,   will it ?

Anyone who is trusting the Father,  Ekklesia , born again, set apart from the world/ society by Yahweh,  won't take the mark.

And God's moral law will not change one jot or tittle for the duration of anyone's life on earth even though denominations and adherents of Christianity waver in this regard.
