Why do you say this?

It has been found time and time again that many people who are gay were abused by their parents or other significant adult.

ok, so first one ill deal with is

1 Corinthians 6: 9 Do you not know that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor abusers, nor homosexuals,

10 nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.

lets look at a better translation please, becasue the word homosexual would not have been written

Do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived! Fornicators, idolaters, adulterers, male prostitutes, sodomites, thieves, the greedy, drunkards, revilers, robbers

but many people are under the misconception that this causes homosexuality and so its curable

OK, now that I have time I will. First of all, it is not the mixing of two threads. It was the specific mixing of linen and wool called in Hebrew, Sha'anetz. It was the same commandment God made concerning the engendering of cattle other diverse kinds of cattle, and the sowing mingled seed and the mixing of wool and linen in garments. This commandment is found in Lev. 19:19.

The reason God told them not to do this was because the mixing of such things was a based upon common superstitions among the pagans surrounding them, and God specifically warns Israel about imitating the pagan cultures and their religious practices. That includes their superstitions as well.

Furthermore it was understood to be a commandment especially to the Priests whose garments were made completely of dyed wool, unlike the pagans who mixed the wool with linen.

This in no way lets you off the hook, Mike. It does not change the fact that God says that homosexuality is an abomination and that no one who practices it in any shape or fashion will enter the Kingdom of Heaven.

You are living in a delusion, and you really need to have Jesus in your life. You still have time. As long as you can breathe you can still repent of the wickedness of homosexuality and become a true believer in Jesus Christ. As I said before, you can have Jesus, or you can be gay; you can't have both. You need to make a choice.

That doesnt help your case. (I used (A) and (B) to mark which words I was using strongs concordance and The complete word study dictionary on.)

So God created you to be gay, huh? If this were so, why don't we see blessed homosexual couples throughout the Bible? We don't, not even once.

Second of all, taking a look at the physical standpoint of being gay, there is absolutely no way God created someone with the inclination of being gay.

did God create you straight?

you would most probably think that is a BS question because its obvioously Gods natural law etc, but can you really answer that, what makes you the sexual being you are? What makes you with all of your ambitions, dreams, passions?

the answer (no doubt in my mind) is God

we are all pots

some pots are specially crafted for display, others are just made for every day use

we all have been made how we are by God, all of our tallents, attributes, are from God - and sexual interest is an attribute/extension of our personality

second of all

people often say that man/man relationships cant work physically either, but i would have to disagree - i wont go into detail in public, but i would be interested to know how it wont work when it quite blatantly does

i do have jesus in my life, and im the happiest ive ever been, and to be honest i think its shameful that you should even imply in your post that i have not fully committed myself to jesus, saying i need to choose between faith and sexuality.

why do people think that gay people cannot learn to love God?

and btw, we have not yet had the privlage of reading the "dead sea" scrolls, which were 'lost' because of their controvercial nature

Some people are naturally murderers and thieves. Is that ok too? By your reasoning, if you are "born" that way, it is ok with God.

We are born sinners. We have that sinful nature that we are to turn our backs on. Repent Mike. Your sin includes homosexuality.

      I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

      For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

      2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices. 

      So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

      Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end. 
      Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house. 

      Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

      As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

      Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
      Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

      So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
