hold on a second

im being open on here, but ive already said im not here for council, imjust here to listen to what people have to say about it

yes i am using my personal story, but i am at a place where i am comfortable with God#

i said in my first post that if you use Bible versus, can you explain them in context aswell, please can we stick to this as "BibleBoy" has quoted a story but left it open and not explaind its relevance - this is not to say that he doesnt know what teh relevance is, but i think it helps everyoen if we are all specific about what we are saying

my responce to that is that the story talks about how all the people were practising homosexuality - it doesnt say how they were practising - if they were all sleeping together then i agree with Gods actions there, but if they just found that they had a sexual preferance to other men, but they found one healthy monogamous relationship, then i dont understand why they sufferd the fate they did

to be honest, it is most probable that they all slept together in serial relationships, which is completely different and out of the context of this discussion

so i would ask again, if you use a story - explain it in context, explore the story to get the fullest and deepest meaning from it

God Bless

I don't think you will find the help you are looking for here. You need to look into your heart and you'll know your path. your life and salvation are only between you and god. By coming out here you have only open yourself up to ridicule and distaste.

hey guys

i can assure you that i have read all the scriptures, but i have come to peace with God in my life

you probably think that im some immature teenage boy whos hung up on his hormones, but i can only say that i assure that is not the case

i have looked at all the bits of scripture relating to it, and found that everything in there is sin, but i have to say that i am not feeling downtrodden with sin, i love God and i know that god loves me.  God made me how i am, and if God wants me in a loving hetrosexual relationship then god will fidn me a woman i can fall in love with, but if i find a man i can fall in love with, then i feel that God will bless that relationship providing i dont loose focus on him and on christ

our god is a god of love, and he will not turn his back on me no matter what i do - that is not to be twisted to say i have a 'get out of jail free' card, but so long as i dont loose focus on God i will be saved

God bless

Mike, don't make the mistake of assuming that just because you have homosexual tendencies that "God made you that way." A murder has a tendency to commit murder... is that okay with God?

A thief has a tendency to steal... is that okay with God?

Homosexuality, like murder and stealing, is sin. Plain and simple.

1Jo 3:8 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.

Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil and to free you from your sin.

Mike -

There is a verse in the Torah:

Leviticus 20:13 - If a man lies with a male as he lies with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination. They shall surely be put to death. Their blood shall be upon them.

The context here is a set of instructions regarding sexual purity.

"A man lying with a male as he lies with a woman" is a clear reference to sexual relations, as are the surrounding verses, and quite frankly says that a man having sex with a man is an abomination.

Can you justify this as referring to anything else?

And how does the Lord regard sexual immorality?

1Co 5:11 - But now I have written to you not to keep company with anyone named a brother, who is sexually immoral, or covetous, or an idolater, or a reviler, or a drunkard, or an extortioner--not even to eat with such a person.

Rev. 2:14-16

But I have a few things against you, because you have there those who hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balak to put a stumbling block before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed to idols, and to commit sexual immorality. . . . Repent, or else I will come to you quickly and will fight against them with the sword of My mouth.

Rev. 21:8 - But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death."

Yes, God loves you deeply. But He is also a holy and righteous judge who does not let the guilty go unpunished.

Remember, Satan is a lier and a deceiver. He can disuise himself as an "angel of light" and make the bad seem good and the good seem bad.

You were not "born this way." That is one of Satan's lies to keep you in bondage.

Oh, you believe you are free.

But you are not!

Sin has blinded your eyes to the Truth.

How many drug addicts deny they are in bondage?

Cry aloud for wisdom!

Raise your voice for understanding!

Take heed to the Word of the Lord.

Consider His precepts.

Incline your heart to His ways.

Know the thunder of His voice.

Righteousness is the foundation of His throne!

God has freed me

God has freed me from the guilt i used to carry with being gay

i used to be so ashamed of myself, so much so that i was harming myself - drugs, alcohol, smokes, cutting my wrist

God has freed me from the guilt i used to carry with being gay, now i am at peace within myself, and i love God for that

and that is also plain and simple to be honest, i see God as love, and if i find true love with someone, i know that God will be involved in that, be it a man or wahtever it may be. i dont know what the future holds for me, only God knows that. but what i do know is that if i fall in love with another man, God will not hate me for it

God Bless

I think we're all familiar with the scriptures on sexual immorality but WHY do we in the Christian community hold homosexuals to a stricter standard than divorcees who remarry?

As a remarried divorcee I recurrently have problems with this issue because Jesus Christ himself had a lot to say about divorce but NOTHING to say about homosexuality - at least not that is recorded in scripture. It was Paul, who wasn't even among the original 12 diciples, who wasn't married himself, who spoke out so strongly against both women and homosexuality (which he called an abomination). If it was an abomination you'd think Jesus would have at least mentioned it and it would have been recorded in the scriptures. I'm a little puzzled on this. I've been told I'm forgiven for my sin but I continue to be married to my second wife. My previous minister told me to divorce her and seek out my first wife and reconcile with her if she was unmarried. It made me mad but at least he didn't discriminate so I've gotta give him credit for that.

Also, if the homosexual prays to God to take away the tendency and make him straight....why doesn't God do it. He says to ask him for anything and with the faith of a mustard seed it will be done. Since most people in this country are of a Christian background there has to have been many a prayer to God to "straighten" this thing out and fix it.....but it doesn't happen.

2 Corinthians 11:13-15

For such men are false apostles, deceitful workmen, masquerading as apostles of Christ. And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. It is not surprising, then, if his servants masquerade as servants of righteousness. Their end will be what their actions deserve.

2 Timothy 4:3

For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear.

John 1:14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.

I want to warn those who define God and His character, outside of His Word, that you are building a god of your own imagination.

Everything has been formed from His Word, He was sent as the Word, Who became flesh, so to try to convey God as someone you have created in your own mind, going against His Very Word, will bring great destruction. God is only revealed and defined by His Own Word and no other way.

Jesus is the Way. the Truth, and the Life.

His Name is THE WORD!

John 14:6 Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

..............and his name is called The Word of God.

In His Truth,

Suzanne

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
