My pastor has been at my church for about 25 years.  That's unusual, I know.  But he's a wonderful Bible-preaching man who has a burden for people both lost and saved.  So having been there that long, I've heard this particular sermon now twice.  The other time was about two years ago.

It's from Revelation 13, 18, and 20.  His goal when preaching is never to be opinionated or political.  It's just to present what the Bible says - always connecting his message to the gospel - and to extend an invitation to respond to Christ in whatever manner the Holy Spirit prompts.  He avoids like the proverbial plague interjecting political names and parties from the pulpit.  If you want his opinion on that, that's for a discussion outside the church.  His sermons may testify of political things - such as from this scriptures below, but his objective is to point the way to Christ, not complain about human beings in power.

I'll give you the outline and you can read on your own.  A lot of you already know these scriptures, like I do - but I like seeing it all in one tidy connected sermon and I think you will, too.

This is not anyone's opinion - it's blatantly in the scriptures.

I:  Revelation 13:1-10 - One World Government that is Coming

The dragon [or the devil - see Rev. 12:9] is going to give power, a throne, and authority to the "beast" from the sea.  This beast [or as he is described else outside of the Revelation as Antichrist]  is going to be a political leader and take command of the world and create a one-world government.  He will be given, from the devil, all authority over every people, tribe, language, and nation.  ALL nations will "worship" this man with the exception of the saints whom he will make war with and those whose names - in the beginning - were written down in the Lamb's book of life.  [It's going to be a BAD time for anyone who professes Christ.]

He will reign like this for 42 months - three and 1/2 years.  People will adore him and worship him as their one-world leader because apparently he will receive a mortal wound and recover from it causing the world to gasp and say, "Who is LIKE him?  Who can fight him?"

Now, and this is just Jayne speaking here, at this point the devil must know his time is near and he tries to mimic the holy trinity.  He of course has already set himself up as God, which he is not.  And now he presents to the world a "savior" - the Antichrist, who "rises" from the dead miraculously.  He just has one more person to add....

II.  Revelation 13:11-18 - One World Religion that is Coming

The last figure to set in place is a "woo-er" of souls TO the Antichrist. One that influences the world to worship him.  This man is the "fake" Holy Spirit.  He is religious in nature.

He has the "appearance" of a lamb, but speaks like the dragon.  Meaning he deceives people into falling for his peaceful religion, yet his religion is of the devil.

This beast is from the ground.  He will be given great authority to perform great signs on behalf of the first beast, or Antichrist, and he will encourage the whole world to set up a image of the first beast who was healed from the mortal wound.  The second beast, the religious one will be given power to make the image of the first beast seem alive -speaking and killing people who will not worship.

This religious beast will be the cause of everyone having to receive a mark of the first beast in order to live - to buy and sell.  Or in other words to have shelter, eat, and drink.

Just Jayne speaking again - this is going to be someone who can "spin" religion easily to people.  POSSIBLY, but not with 100% certainty a person who already has religious "clout".

III.  Revelation 18 - The Fall of the One-World Economy

The great Babylon - the commercial/financial world economy will come crashing down.  Why?  This chapter says it is demonic, drunk on sexual immorality, kings and people have grown rich from the immorality of it.  People of the world will mourn and lament because no one can buy/sell  anything anymore.  In the great commercialism of the world at that time there will be the buying and selling of bodies and souls of people.  One can only imagine the sex trafficking and pornography and more of that day.

The main reason God will destroy this world-wide system is that it is responsible for the blood and death of the saints.

IV.  Revelation 20 - The End

The beast, his false prophet, and the dragon - the unholy trinity - will be cast into the lake of fire and sulfur and be tormented forever and ever.

For humanity - a Great White Throne Judgment will take place.

Those whose name are not found in the book of life will also be cast in the lake of fire.

His point?  Christians should be on the alert as to what is happening in the world.  My take:  We won't be able to stop this from coming.

Be alert.  Be vigilant.  Be self-controlled.  BE AWARE.  Be strong.  Stay on God's side and under his wing.  Have faith in Jesus.  Obey the Holy Spirit.

This isn't about us pointing fingers and saying "Who IS the Antichrist.  It doesn't matter who he will be.

What matters is are you under the blood of Jesus Christ and are you teaching others to do the same.

Hi Jayne,

My pastor sounds the same.  He is going on almost 27 years and although I've only been at his church for 5 years now, he displays the same passion, humble, earnestness and love for God and his people from when I first started attending his church. I love how he also reads and teaches directly from the Bible.  He encourages everyone to bring their bibles to church and regularly has us pray for our Nation's leaders.  Thanks for sharing the message you heard at church yesterday. I know you must feel blessed to have such a pastor.  I know I do.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
