9-8-19, The Power Of Living Faith:

Jesus Christ declared to His disciples, “Verily, verily (or, most assuredly), I say unto you, He that BELIEVETH ON ME, the works that I do (including performing miracles, and great healings!) SHALL HE DO ALSO; and GREATER WORKS THAN THESE shall he do; because I go unto my Father. And whatsoever ye shall ask IN MY NAME (there is awesome POWER in the name of Jesus Christ, when used rightly), that will I DO, that the Father may be glorified in the Son” (John 14:12-13).

Jesus went on, “If ye shall ask ANYTHING in my name, I will DO IT!” (verse 14).
In the tumultuous days of the early Church, the power of God was evident in the lives of the apostles. “And by the hands of the apostles were many SIGNS AND WONDERS WROUGHT among the people . Insomuch that they brought forth the sick into the streets, and laid them on beds and couches, that at the least the SHADOW OF PETER passing by might overshadow some of them.

There came also a multitude out of the cities round about unto Jerusalem, bringing sick folks, and them which were vexed with unclean spirits: AND THEY WERE HEALED EVERY ONE” (Acts 5:12-16).
There was awesome spiritual POWER present in the early Church of God! The apostles had FAITH. But why has the Church lost that power? What happened to it after the days of the apostles? What happened to the kind of FAITH they had? Why is it generally missing in the Church today?

Can anybody answer? I can, to God of course, only if I ask God to help me with having that kind of faith: Mark 11:20-24 ,This I think, can only happen when I examine myself.

There again, What IS Faith?
The apostle Paul declared, “Now Faith IS the substance “realization” of things hoped for, the evidence [or, confidence] of things not seen. For by it the elders obtained a good testimony. By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible” (Heb.11:1-3).

Faith is the substance or reality of belief – conviction – assurance. Faith is BELIEVING that what God says in His Word is TRUE, and can be relied upon – even unto death! Job expressed this thought and conviction when he said, “Though He slay me, yet will I trust Him” (Job 13:15). That shows REAL faith, doesn’t it?

Job also declared in persuaded conviction, “For I KNOW that my Redeemer lives, and He shall stand at last upon the earth; and after my skin is destroyed, this I know, that in my flesh I shall see God, whom I shall see for myself, and my eyes shall behold, and not another” (Job 19:25-27). Job was firmly convinced of the existence of God, and believed that he would see Him one day, and be redeemed and saved by Him.
Faith then is simply belief, or strong conviction, that what God says is true and what He says He will do, He will do without doubt or question!

But how can we increase our faith? I think by asking God to increase our Faith.

The KEYS to Greater Faith

The apostle Paul gives us the fundamental key to greater faith and conviction. He wrote, “For whoever calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed?

And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written, ‘How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace, who bring glad tidings of good things” (Rom.10:13-15).

Paul concludes, “So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God” (verse 17).

Christ Himself put it this way: “SEARCH the Scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life; and these are they which testify of Me” (John 5:39). In other words, STUDY the Bible! Pour over it! Meditate upon it daily, constantly! This is the way to increase your faith!

As king David wrote, “Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful; but his delight is in the law of the LORD, and in His law he MEDITATES day and night” (Psalm 1:1-2).

Today people try to work up faith in their faith.  Jesus wants us to have faith in the Father.

Rom 8:31 NKJV  What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?  Rom 8:32  He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?

Growth in faith comes with trials and hardship. God gives or allows each of us enough testing and trials to trust him more and more.

1Pe 1:5  who through faith are shielded by God's power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time.

1Pe 1:6  In all this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials.

1Pe 1:7  These have come so that the proven genuineness of your faith—of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire—may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed.

I always say to myself in any trial, that this is an opportunity to trust God. Faith can be as small as a mustard seed, yet it is sufficient in whatever situation or trial God allows us to go through. To me that is living growing faith.

Jas 1:12  Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.

1Co 10:13  No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.

Who do you know who MEDITATES day and night on TORAH as Yahuweh Says ?

Christ said this to EVIL MEN.   Those EVIL MEN thought that by doing what you say,  they could find eternal life. (they could not, as Jesus told them).

Jesus again said "the word of faith is already near you (Ekklesia, born again ones following Jesus),  even in your mouth...."  and that even if you have only the faith the size of a mustard seed,   you will speak to a mountain to be cast into the sea,  and it will be ...

I don't think Jesus then told them to ask for more faith.

Apparently not.

Not only generally missing,  but altogether missing in most places.   This is just as Scripture says clearly today, and yesterday , and forever.

Do you really truly believe the followers of Jesus no longer have "that power" ?    If so,   keep seeking Yahuweh's Kingdom,  and He Will Reveal the Truth as He Promises in His Word.

Amen, This is what comes to my mind, that God being so much loving, deals with us according to that measure of faith that He has given unto us to work out our own soul salvation in fear and trembling to the end.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
