I really like the place I found its close by -- how would you volunteer if you had a newborn ? I just really want to give back because I feel God has blessed me alot and will bless me so I feel I need to show gratitude.

Even 4 hourly feeding cycle will leave you like a zombie and if its less you'll be even more zombified. Find a mother and toddler group at an evangelical church where you can meet other mums and encourage one another and maybe evangelise any nonchristian mums,

Make all available time for the baby. Do so in appreciation to God for this child. There will be time for volunteering at some point if you still desire to do that. But don't volunteer and then become undependable in that effort because you must rightly put your child's many surprise needs to come first. 1

If you know for a fact that there is time leftover to volunteer, then volunteer, but maybe you should wait till you know for sure.

Well, there's lots of reasons. I urge you to let everything else go except that baby for at least 3 months and longer if you need it. Everything can and should wait. The fact is that biblically, charity starts with the church and its families (your child) and then, space/time/resources permitting, outside the church.
